Lying to yourself is believing that you shouldnt work your ass off, because talent or "greatness" is something that only exists in a few special people. These athletes you are talking about nurtured their talents through hard work and years of dedication. If they sat their asses in front of the TV curling twinkies they wont be at the top of the food chain today. Talent is nurtured and polished through hard work! Truth!

I want to achieve greatness in both aspects and I know it isnt easy both of them are difficult and many people think I am crazy because of the distance I have to go to achieve both my goals... the years I must put in the amount of work I have to accomplish... but in the end... looking back on my life whether it be thirty... or forty years later... It is 2:09 in the morning and I just got through with a very very gruesome workout. Why would I put myself through this much pain? Well when I laid down two hours ago to go to sleep, something whispered to me and said "there is still work to be done." For those who say hard work can't beat talent, I wonder what they will say when I defeat them....

hey hogboy i just wanted to thank you for putting this video up, ive been watching it every time before i go work out and it helps get me in the mode to get work done. As other people have said these ppl weren't successful because they were black or football players or professional athletes, they were successful because they had the will to go push themselves and achieve their goals despite what others say. Remember success is uncommon, therefor not to be enjoyed by the common man.

While most people think of this as inspiration just in sports. Although I love sports, its not. I go to a elite academy 45 minutes away from my house. I have to wake up earlier than everyone else, and I come home later than everyone. Many nights, I'm up rather working on a research paper or project. The workload gets to me sometimes, but videos like this help me realize why I'm doing all of this. Remember my name, you'll be hearing it one day, Harshit Ratanpara.

Most people live for nothing, following rules imposed by others, but having no idea why they do it. Some of them pretend to be happy, others admit they aren't. If you want to be free, allow everyone else around you to be exactly as they want to be. Then, allow yourself to be exactly how you want to be. Only after you've achieved this freedom you can truly be happy. Good luck and much love to all!
