How eloquent to see Mycroft's brain in action. I remember Sherlock saying that Mycroft had the superior mind. I'm tickled!

These English period dramas are recreated quite wonderfully, Britain was at its peak as a world power at this time, the upper clases considered themselves as very special group of people

But they were Brian, ( and are) a special group of people. They collectively owned great swathes of land; whole towns even. No need for superior aspirations from the minions.

'My third eye' Holmes was familar with the pineal gland at the base of the brain
@sitluxetluxfuit44815 жыл бұрын
Brian Whelan pineal gland is not located at the base or the brain, it's located almost in the center of the brain.

Why would such a precious and valuable item not be surrounded with guards on either side of the display? Too easy to steal to be believable no matter the author.

I like Charles Grey. An excellent actor, but he was filling in for Brett towards the end when he was ill. These are very poor versions of their source material.

Following the death of his wife, Jeremy Brett went into a deep road of missing her and depression. It would seem this triggered his health issues ..His weight gain was probably a allergy to steroids used for his heart issue like a member of my family, she gained almost 80 pounds which made it harder for the body and heart to function.. Correct? Miss his hearty laughter in some of his episodes. Thank you for sharing.

Its useless to hope for things that are past, but I do wish Jeremy Brett could have played in the Mazarin Stone. I wish that they had written a teleplay or script close to the actual story. (Maybe put Billy in.) Did Jeremy do a one act play under this title?
@johnking51745 жыл бұрын
Jeremy Brett was very ill during the recording of the last series, he was suffering from a range of illnesses, and collapsed on set during the filming of The Dying Detective. So he was told to take a break and get treatment, and this is why this episode was re-written.

As a goodwill gesture and for a good relationship between India and UK i wonder if they will think of return ing our kohinoor just like the looters returned mazarun diamond
@55points5 жыл бұрын
I dont know what that is but if it belongs to India they should not keep it as it is basically theft. Probably no body even looks at it anyway. I am sure they dont need it for anything they are rich enough already.

Premise does seem a bit weak in this one; a famous diamond belonging to the Queen of England may not go on display in France because it has been stolen before being transported there. Surely the French, pigheaded and obstinate as they are, would have understood such a simple thing as Not having the diamond because it has been stolen. No "international incident" that I can see.

What an horrible way this was filmed. Mirrors, ridiculous close ups, skewed .... i hate it.
