i absolutely adore the looks derek gets when the group puts something together or uses a mechanic he intentionally placed for just that moment (ie the protection spell), he's like a proud dad. wonderful campaign, i hope i can play something of this caliber one day.

I'm curious about the rain. It seems to start raining whenever some illithid biz is happening, such as the confrontation with Comedus and Tito, when they were initially in the sewer and the illithid went after Taishen and the baby and at the lottery. It also correlates with the snowfall outside of the Ogreton bubble. Maybe a coincidence but with Derek who know what's a coincidence and what's a mindfuckery

I think it would have been a really cool idea to run the ogre's like the mind players were using them to cast their spells through like a familiar. That way it's more like they're being puppeted Rather than mind commanded. They still have their strength but the mental capacity is coming from The puppet masters.

These guys are so good at role play but i cant help but be curious what would have happened with a more logical arguement. Even after Minerva tattled on them for lying. "Look sir clearly we are on your side. We risked OUR lives to help your daughter. We didnt need to do that. We werent the ones being attacked. Whatever else you may believe or not believe. How can we help you if we can be turned off like a lightswitch" Or conversely hes desperately seeking his Gods approval. Im curious (not hating i just am naturally curious) what would have happened if you just gave it to him prior to the deception roll. "We are Ogre gods and we are telling you there is no sin in self defense. They attacked first. But those out there may well not believe such a thing. As it stands now you know we are ogre gods but they still see us as vassels and will discount our testimony on your behalf. BUT if you remove the collars from us. And we can convince them of our Godhood. We can than proclaim your innocence about this dark day."
