As someone who married a man I met in church who turned out to be abusive… be very careful to pay attention if you’re getting to know a potential husband.. how does he treat men in authority? Is he respectful or does he look for ways to demean their character? How is he with your family- is he open to getting to know them, or is there a constant hesitation and excuses for ditching out? What kind of friend group does he have around him? Don’t let him deceive you with a cloak of “spirituality”- if he prefers to be a loner, that probably points to a bigger issue. Does he push you to do things in the dating phase that should be reserved for marriage; i.e. combining finances? Does he keep you up late? That shows he doesn’t respect your time. Also, never NEVER compromise your purity by letting him tell you “we’re getting married anyway”. That’s not a man of God, that’s a boy who cares nothing for you. If people point out red flags, don’t get bitter about it, even if they don’t do it nicely. Go away and seek God on it. You may be saving yourself a world of trouble.

Wisdom from Vivian. 1. Kids cost money. 2. The hardest thing about marriage is the little things. 3. Submission is easier when you are walking in The Spirit. 4. Singleness when saved is to be enjoyed. 5. Date night in marriage is non-negotiable. 6. Confusion before the wedding is a redflag. 7. Basic things to look out for in a spouse - A lover of God who is given to God's service and the service of God's people. 8. The person for you might be the person you least expect. 9. Two words to patient single ladies; Trust God. 10. As a lady, you don't find a husband. He finds you girl. 11. Arguments (intense fellowship) happen but what happens after? Forgiveness. Thank you Vivian ❤️.

If this is what works for you that is amazing. I was in a relationship where I was “submissive” and now that I’m out of it it’s a breath of fresh air. My past relationship was nothing but manipulation and verbal/emotional abuse. Don’t lose your voice. I am now with a man that is patient and kind and everything that love is without demanding my submissiveness..

This was phenomenal. The HONESTY and TRANSPARENCY is something that is so refreshing. I thank God for your authenticity bc that’s what truly resonates and it is a missing component in many other things. I pray that the Lord will continue to bless, keep, and consecrate you and Jimmy. You’re both a true blessing in our lives

Hi Vivian! I came across your channel when I first got saved! It was truly a blessing from the Lord. My testimony is very similar to yours.. before I came to Christ, I turned to sex, drugs, and alcohol. I got pregnant at 22 and by the grace of God, I chose life. My daughter is 7 years old now and I am a grateful believer in Jesus Christ. 🙏🏼 God bless you and your family. 🥲💗

marriage is a bond between 2 people which are turned into one. a family that prays together, stays together. it's not a bed of roses, we have to make it a bed of roses! letting God be in the center of your marriage is one of the most important element to a long lasting marriage. 🙂😇

Loved this video Vivian! May God continue to bless and watch over your marriage! The segment about intense fellowship was so beautiful. Praying during an argument is the last thing I wanna do but the thought of praying for one another is so beautiful. I’m definitely going to try that. Thank you for sharing your insight! ❤

It is best when all things are around God, because only when they are around Him and this circle is even (all things are equally far or close from God), we can move forward. It's like a bicycle - it won't go if the wheels aren't perfectly round

There's a 7 year gap between my youngest singling and I, and I think the age gap has had a big effect on how we relate to one another. Compared to my old singles which is less then 2 years and we are very close. So I know for me when I have children I would prefer they were closer in age because the bond between singles would be tighter. I'm not trying to change you mind on waiting, I just thought I'd share my experience incase it's helpful.

Confusion should lead to prayer and discernment. Its not always an attack from the enemy. Sometimes it can be a sign that God is not calling you to marry this person. Only you can discern that!

Unfortunately not everyone is guaranteed to have a short single season compared to the rest of their life.
@jr8694 Жыл бұрын
I get what you're saying but a lot of times the single season is shorter than the married season - even when a person gets married later in life. For example, if someone gets married at 40 - they spent about 20 years of their life in a single season (in American culture at least it's usually not expected for someone to get married before 20 years old so that's why I say their single season was only 20 yrs). But if God blesses them and their spouse to live until their 80s - they still have another 40 years to be married. Even though the single season was long, the married season would still be longer.

Hey guys so I need you guys to help me so I had somebody in my past that I met in 2014, that instantly had a connection with. He broke up with me because of his religion, we both weren’t mature Christian’s in that time and when he broke up with me, it hurt so much. It was the most traumatic breakup, that it was hard because after our breakup we had to go to the same church together 2015-2017 and it was hard seeing him because I still like him, it took me forever to get over him. in 2020 I was so overwhelmed with my emotions and feelings and I told God about how much I loved him and I care for him but idk if he’s the one or not, god spoke to my heart and told me “Would you be willing to wait if that’s the person I prepared you to be with?” And idk specifically god was talking about him or another guy..anyway is 2023 and kind of confused the word God give me cuz I’m still single and I find myself thinking about me ex.. What does God mean “Would you be willing to wait if that’s the person o prepared you to be with?”

Hi sis in Christ. let Me share my experience with you because I had similar situation. Sometimes God uses our emotions to heal and restore us to him self . I know for the fact that God want us to be whole person before giving us in marriage. When we are separated from someone it was for reason and purpose . When I separated from my ex husband , I thought I needed another to feel the whole in my heart but , today after two years and lot of grace . I am in better place. One thing that God dealt with me was to be a whole person with out expecting for someone to come. Today I thank God every day for been the best father, husband, friend I could ever have . I pray that to happen for you in Jesus name Amen❤️

You are right. This generation is taught to control God’s timing and my generation was taught that too. I had no idea at all that it’s not scriptural. It came with the feminist movement of the late 60s .

Cool video and awesome testimony by the way. I got a question, how do you handle flirty people with people hitting on you and your spouse? Let's say these people are Christians and go to your church but when your without your spouse they go in for the attack so to speak for both you and your husband. How would yall handle that? 🤔

@@faithwithvivian cool thanks! Well we were pulled in by me teaching the singles and her singing with the praise team. Got a little separation and that's all it took. Seemed innocent but can be dangerous to a marriage. Lol whenever they asked me to help teach the singles with another young woman that wasn't my wife. Red flags came up and we said no at 1st but we were caught with the "do you trust me as your pastor" talk so any ways now we know 🤷♂️

It's not biblical to control your chances of being pregnant. What scripture does it tell you to use contraception or refrain from physical intercourse
