It's important to take the pill if you need it for medical reasons. If your daughter agrees with Nate and Sutton' s argument, she could simply use an additional form of contraceptive as well as the pill, such as a condom.

hayden j personally that is never what I try to insinuate when referring to a person who is homosexual, though I believe that homosexuality is not correct. I do not see homosexuals/non-believers as below me. Some Christians try to make it seem like an unforgivable sin, but I believe it is nothing more than another sin such as lusting after one who is not your spouse. If anything, it only goes to show how much we need Jesus Christ as our Messiah because no one other than Him has defeated sin.

Our mission as christians is to be light in this world and love people unconditionally, don't matter their sexual orientation. Showing Jesus's love through our actions and the way we treat others is such an important thing. We could be hated because of Jesus but nobody should hate Jesus because of us. ❤

No word spoken even had a whiff of hate. Agreeing with God is the only motiation. There is NO hatred from them, it myself, anytime I post anything, it's not hate. Not. I have faced a lot of horrendous things in my life. I don't believe LGBT behavior is the worst sin; I'm only speaking out of love, and a desire for all people to be able to fulfill all God wants them to. Our fleshly desires, LGBT, etc, shouldn't be the guiding point of my life. Our feelings, or pseudo science, as a Christian, never should supersede God's loving directives for our lives; I wish everyone who reads this could truly receive my words in the love and compassion given.❤️✝🙏🏾🤗

Lucy C. RN here- If an egg becomes fertilized, many oral contraceptives cause the uterus to become uninhabited for implantation. More often conception does not occur but if it does, it can act as an abortificient by preventing implantation. Nikita DeGraaff Hi, based on the info you’ve given me what you’re saying is incorrect. It’s not the pill doing what you’re describing, it’s IUD’s. Please check: Intrauterine device (IUD). Devices placed in the uterus through the cervix by a healthcare provider. The IUD works by thickening cervical mucus to make it hard for sperm to enter the cervix. Or by preventing the fertilized egg from attaching to the wall of the uterus. IUDs containing hormones are also called intrauterine systems and must be replaced every 5 years, while copper IUDs can last up to 10 years.

If they have the same views as Girl Defined, then it's because they feel that the word "gay" was stolen to make something just **terrible** seem not as terrible since gay meant happy. (Rolling my eyes, too.) It also could be that they're in the SSA camp - same sex attraction. Usually people in this camp believe it can be cured (a lot of Mormons, for example). However, they also talked about gay people staying single so I'm not sure.

@@kh7632 aww assumptions, who is making them, lol, wow... ;) you're coming at a this from a funny angle, kind of stacking it in your favor, setting up your narrative that favors your bias...but i guess that is what an ASSumptive person does ;) you ASSume that i'm 'not a christian' - thanks for asking lol, or wait, assuming. this also proves you barely read any of the MANY 'chats' i've had here where i've shared about myself and spoke with many 'argumentative' christians who prefer to feel attacked rather than share dialogue, funny how i'm getting a similar vibe here?! most of these people argued and said mean things and ended up deleting ALL their comments, sad they can't just chat... anyways, i am in a relationship w christ and was raised in 'organized religion' for over 25 years...kind of throws off your whole angle, huh? anyways, so i speak from a variety of experience when i say that many people who claim to be 'christians' i feel are using the religion for comfort and an excuse to condemn others who are 'different' than them, like how nate and sutton claim the bible says homosexuality is wrong, when it's really their 'opinionated/subjective interpretation' that they sadly pander off as 'truth' and that 'god told them so'...it's sad and it's not christlike love. so many of these types (not assuming you) of christians take verses out of context and ignore cultural/historical contexts and favor new/modern translations that fit their insecurities and shame....it's not what christ intended, so much lost in translation and sadly so many words swapped out to accommodate fear. try checking out an early translation, they are all available online, you'll see what i'm saying... the very fact that you replied to disagree with me speaks exactly as to what my first comment was, lol, sorry you can't see that - what is your goal here? think about it, even if i wasn't a 'christian', as you admit to assuming - how would your reply to me be anything christlike?! basically condescending and defensive, that is my concern with so many 'christians' here in this forum, it's a sad community, just trying to share some insight and love, if you dn't like it, or worse, don't get it or feel it, scroll on :) and no, i don't feel a little confronted (thanks for telling me how i feel lol, try 'i' statements).... i feel more disappointed when someone USES their so called 'important belief' in a self serving way to accommodate their fear/insecurity of others and ultimately themselves (particulaly referring to 'christians' here like nate and sutton who think homosexuality is a sin and further take verses out of context to fit their agenda of this). if someones 'important belief' is condemning someone and using the bible out of context to do selfishly so, then yea i'm concerned about that and going to call them out, that isn't an 'important belief' that person has, it's actually called ignorance, bigotry and hate....disguised as 'important beliefs', sadly using christianity in the opposite way god designed it... love and accept yourself and someday you will love and accept others, as christ hoped for us to do

@@kh7632 wow, now telling me that i'm 'angry' and have 'taken offense of you' - i don't feel that way, thanks for assuming and not asking, again lol... i actually expressed clearly how i feel in the previous comment, yet you seem to be focused on exterior aspects and projections that cater to your narrative here - it's weird and manipulative to tell others how they feel and in turn avoid your own feelings...try it out i'm guessing we could have a much better conversation, without enmity, if you didn't tell me how i feel or assume this and that, and speak on your own feelings and experience. i also think it would be a smoother conversation if you'd actually do some research and check out early/christian translations of the very verses you cling to as 'truth' that homosexuality is a 'sin' - until then this will likely just be bickering 'around' a conversation and 'how we are talking' instead of what we are talking about... i'm here (as you claim to see my other comments) to encourage people to reconsider their perspective on homosexuality/lgbtq and notice it might be their own fear/shame/insecurity that facilitates their feelings and NOT God's word as many sadly claim. this has been my concern here and it's what i'm here to create dialogue around - otherwise, i'm not sure what you're interested in talking about? i wonder, do you have any friends/acquaintances who are homosexual or lgbtq? i also wonder, how do lgbtq people effect you, is it positive or negative? why are some christians concerned with others that have ZERO effect on them? at the end of the day, you will have to decide PERSONALLY about how YOU alone feel about lgbtq/homosexuality. while there is a lot to read in the bible, there is equally a lot to interpret...subjectively. it can't tell you how to feel, merely reflect it. my point is that if there is no absolute clarity in all the bible that it says this or that (which is why many people debate it's history)... it's up to us and merely a reflection of us on how we choose to see it and feel it in our hearts... it is fine if someone doesn't approve of lgbtq/homosexuals, but to take christs words and use them to facilitate personal feelings, i find that disgusting and inhumane and i pray for those people...

in regards to your answer to "what if Christianity is wrong" question and your reference to Pascal's Wager, it is important to consider other religions. For instance, what if Islam is true and, despite being a Christian and living a holy and good life, you are still sent to hell since you did not believe in Allah. You only considered two options, 1. Christianity is true or (2) there is no god and afterlife. I grew up in a very conservative Christian community and this is an aspect of the argument (towards Pascal's wager) that needs to be taken into account. In reality, there are lots of possibilities when it comes to god and afterlife's.

Love them always, pray, try to guide them to love which you and I every human being we all need. Every human being needs God. He is love and in love there is within Him only the uttermost truth. We all need Him everyone of us. I have to read the bible to read and understand the bread (food of life) and I myself too to not make a God that I am comfortable with in my own mind because that is idolatry a sin right there, I have realized hearing more of the truth explained to me out of the care for me has helped me even if it is years later. We are all people. Sometimes we don't always want to read the bible or do things that we know God wants us to do or trust in Him but He is the most loving and all knowing Father , I can't rely on myself nor to save myself I can only rely in Jesus to save me. No one is perfect but its so important for our spiritual health our growth in our relationship with God. You want to get to know God, I do too. Pray, seek Him, just talk, spend time with your Father get to know Him and His word which clarifies in truth and spirit what He means and is saying too. Ultimately I don't want to rely on myself to speak but only let God His holy spirit to guide me and instruct me in what to say so I need to pray and submit that submit in that He knows what is best which is His will not mine even if I may get ahead of myself. God knows everything He knows what is best for us out of love, life spiritual growth and salvation through Him alone. Christ paid The price for us imagine how much He loves us but wants us to trust Him and follow Him. His all knowing and most loving will not our own will. The best I can say I guess is talk with Him go to Him and trust in Him to guide you but give Him all to Him. Submit your life give your life to Him entrust and trust in Him. He knows what we truly need and every thought of ours. We have to entrust in him even if we are not perfectly trusting sometimes still give it to Him too entrust that and submit that to Him. If you want, a KZbin channel I've watched lately and has helped me is Living Waters I've realized and learned a lot about some things that I've heard and read before and then there were things that I honestly did not understand before. Its very loving I've had and may still have my moments sometimes and I believe God is always with us but we do need to give anything everything every area even in the area of not wanting to read the bible everyday and trusting in Him we need to give all that to Him. I hope that people can pray for me too as I hope the same for everyone. I think there are a lot of precious people.

Hey guys! I myself am not religious, but I do enjoy watching your videos and opening myself up to different perspectives :) I did however want to give you guys some food for thought, especially after I listened to Nate’s answer to the “what if Christianity is wrong?” question. The only outcomes you considered to be possible were that you are right, and you’ll end up in heaven, or that you are wrong and there is no after life, in which case following your faith would at least have helped you live a good life. You then said that non-Christians have far more to lose, since we’re risking an eternity apart from God (I assume you were talking about hell). But have you ever considered that, if you are wrong, its possible that it’s not because there is no God, but because the God of another religion is the “correct” God? In that case, you would be the ones “apart from God” in the afterlife. What I’m trying to say here is that a non-Christian’s consequences wouldn’t be “much much greater” than your own. The way you spoke in the video acknowledged only two possibilities: 1. there is no God or afterlife, or 2. Christianity is true. In reality, there’s much more that could be possible or valid, and it seems you haven’t considered very much outside of your own experience. Also, I really appreciate your kindness toward the LGBTQ community, but I hope you know how easy it is to say something like “If God told me to do this, I absolutely would, so you should too!” when you yourself are not experiencing the pain that comes with being gay and raised in the church. It’s easy to speak in these hypotheticals, but you really can’t say what you would or wouldn’t do for your faith if you haven’t experienced these obstacles yourself. Anyway, I can tell you come from a place of love and I don’t mean to call you out or anything, I just think it’d be good if y’all would dig into other people’s points of view more instead of presuming that the opposition is all just “based in feelings” or something. P.S. I loved your point of view on vaccines! People these days seem to be so afraid of autism that they’d rather risk their child contracting a preventable disease. imo, the anti vax movement stigmatizes autism and encourages misinformation. Oof, this was a long comment, sorry lol. Best of wishes to y’all !
@shelbymorimoto371
@shelbymorimoto371 5 жыл бұрын
liz johnson I love your first two comments. Such good points. However, when it comes to vaccines, there is SO much more at risk than just autism. It’s no coincidence that the most recent young generation is the most ill in decades. The vaccine schedule is not what it used to be and the combination of 8-9 vaccines at each appointment especially the first year of life has not in any way been tested for safety and effacy. The amount of vaccine injured kids I know whether it’s gut issues, autoimmune issues, or developmental issues is unfathomable. I pray Nate and Sutton will look into this topic more especially given that their argument is that they and their siblings were vaccinated and they turned out just fine. At the very least, the CDC schedule is not safe and people should be doing a more spread out schedule of shots. Some of these shots have 3 viruses/diseases they’re vaccinating in just 1 vial. That and the heavy metals and other toxins are a total overload to a baby’s system 😫

Beast bombshell hero where are these deaths in the US? If this was true it would be blasted all over the media. But even the one everyone is freaking out the most over (measles) has not killed anyone in the US since 2015 and it was an older woman who was immune compromised. I just feel as though there’s so much fear-mongering about diseases/viruses making a comeback and killing people, but where’s that data? Kids are way way way more likely to be vaccine injured than to catch and especially die of a disease/virus that’s easily treatable in the US. And at the end of the day, I wasn’t at all advocating for everyone to stop vaccinating for anything ever... I encouraged them to at least just look into a more delayed schedule. Simply just delaying/spreading out the shots has an enormously positive impact and lowers adverse reactions tremendously... we HAVE to start taking a deeper look at these kids in terms of their genetics and their ability to handle the viruses and ingredients in vaccines because many many MANY babies/children are not able to handle the viruses easily (especially live viruses like in the MMR) plus detox from all the toxic ingredients at the same time without any repercussions...

Science? . . . . Depends what birth control you are talking about but there are 3 ways a contraceptive works 1. prevent spem reaching the egg (ie. thickening cervical mucus or creating a hostile environment to sperm (IUD)) 2. prevent ovulation 3. prevent a fertilized egg from implanting (by thinning the endometrial lining) For the most part the primary purpose of the combined oral contraceptive is 1 & 2 HOWEVER 3 is very much a 'back up' mechanism for the COC and definitely does mean that birth control CAN ' kill a fertilized egg'. The progesterone only pill and copper IUD however do not prevent ovulation therefore rely on 1 & 3 to work. (The mirena or hormonal IUD I believe does prevent ovulation so works similar to the COC) There is probably a lower chance of mechanism 3 occurring than the other two and that may mean that someone doesn't have a problem with taking birth control and that is their choice! However it IS important for everyone to be informed and make their own decision as for some people even a small chance that it prevents a fertilized egg from implanting means they do not want to use it and that is also a valid decision! By literal law your religious rights and opinions are protected and upheld in society. Voting against basic human rights for all people regardless of gender, sexuality, ect. is wrong. Using the bible as means of morality and fact to establish law is wrong. Faith is not fact, and human error is the way reason is that the bible lacks any legitimate means of fact or morality. If you all lived as Jesus did, you would love your neighbors instead of shaming, condemning, and judging them. By far people of color, lgbt+, and other religions are far less tolerated than yours. There is a reason people have to march, protest, and fight to be treated as human beings. Something Christians have never had to do in the same capacity in modern history. Christians are not the victims the church teaches you to be.

Info. How do birth control pills prevent pregnancy? The birth control pill works by stopping sperm from joining with an egg (which is called fertilization). The hormones in the pill stop ovulation. No ovulation means there’s no egg hanging around for sperm to fertilize, so pregnancy can’t happen. The pill’s hormones also thicken the mucus on the cervix. This thicker cervical mucus blocks sperm so it can’t swim to an egg - kind of like a sticky security guard.

Oh boy. The moment Sutton joked about the amount of letters in the word “LGBTQ”, I knew we were in trouble. I have tons of respect for both of you and I have been following your videos recently, but the way this video discussed the lgbtq+ community made me deeply concerned and ultimately made me question if Christianity is right for me. For one, homosexuality is not a personality type, it’s a sexuality. The way this video characterized this diverse community as a singular type of person is harmful- I’m specifically referring to the qoute: “I get along with homosexuals pretty often- more than just a regular guy”. I’m also not one to usually leave comments on videos like this but felt particularly urged to speak up and be a voice to anyone in the LGBTQ+ community that watches this and for even one second questions their worth. Finally, the last thing I will say is that I was frankly in disbelief hearing Nate allege that his desire to owning a big home and an expensive car is the equivalent to being denied the right to LOVE who you love in the walls of the Christian Faith. It’s incredibly disheartening but I find light in knowing that this is not what every Christian believes and that as a Christian I will never adopt this principal.

Stacey Lapointe amen it’s the same concept with God. The Holy Spirit is a feeling. The only way we know it exists is by its effects on others. God pulled me out of darkness and addictions. Addictions that I tried to beat on my own but failed. When I accepted Jesus into my life the Holy Spirit entered my life and changed me for the better. I know God is real because of his effects on my life.

Wow, so refreshing to hear truth from the Bible spoken! So often it seems like people get it wrong, and it breaks my heart to hear a partial truth or complete lies. Thanks, for trusting God and putting yourselves out there!

I’ve always believed in respecting and not invalidating anyone’s believes, I’m a Muslim and I’ve always watched this channel and respected your views but you said something that makes me feel like I’m not your target audience and that’s very okay. Sending you so much love & light ❤️

I really appreciate how the LGBTQ part wasn't super disrespectful. I'm part of the LGBTQ and I also surrender myself to God every single day and most people tell me I can't do both. I try to live by the bible and as faithfully as possible, and simultaneously I am more likely to gravitate my earthly love to someone of the same gender. There are huge misconceptions that as LGBTQ people, we're deviants 24/7 and constantly going against God's word, when it simply isn't true. In fact, i'm not very lustful like most misconceptions would have you believe. - its the same way that some people think all Christians are bigots. The misconceptions go both ways. It just isn't true. We are just like you. So, thank you for trying to be kind and loving towards the community and not hateful as some 'Christians' in the spotlight are.

so... he didn't really give a clear answer about their views on homosexuality. Here's what I got from it: It's not a sin to be gay, you just can't act on any of your sexual feelings or desires. I don't understand how that is fair AT ALL. I don't appreciate how they say homosexuality isn't a sin, but they still cannot accept that it is totally fine for people in the LGBTQ community to do everything straight people can. If you're gay and wanna have sex, DO IT!!

Anna Randall THANK YOU!!! My view is always on the fact that at the time of the Bible’s creation pro-creation was absolutely necessary for couples. However, as time has passed it is no longer simply about pro-creation so any God should not be against two people loving each other, no matter their gender.

Hannah Thomas mmmm, I think the biggest issue in regards to very closely following the Bible is that when reading it I never found a specific statement about that, it’s just implied in a couple places and one of them was a mistranslation (man shall not lie with a man).

You’re telling me that someone can “struggle” with homosexuality/ homosexual thought their entire life and it not be allowed to love someone of the same sex because it is a sin in Gods eyes.. but that same exact thing actually brings them suicidal thoughts or actually brings them to committing. That is so sad. I’m bi and I have a girlfriend and I’ve never been happier. I was the most separated and miserable being a Christian who thought I was a living ever day in sin just because I had the capacity to love a woman just as much as I could a man. So wrong and for anyone watching this. I advise you to follow your own heart. I’ve learned that just because someone else’s beliefs on something feels right to them does not mean it is right for you. Learn to love yourself and not feel guilty for being who you are. ❤

Right?? And if they wanna believe it’s a sin then whatever, people don’t have to like them, what really gets on my nerves though is when the homophobes bring their views into the law. My right to get married and be happy shouldn’t be up for political debate.
