Talk’s Julia Hartley-Brewer is joined by former NATO commander Philip Ingram to discuss Sir Keir Starmer’s new promises ahead of the general election.
The Labour leader will launch the party’s doorstep offer to voters, with a set of “first steps” for government.
In a launch event at a potential electoral battleground in Essex, Starmer will set out Labour’s offer, building on the missions for what it has branded a “decade of national renewal” should it win when voters go to the polls.
Among its first steps “to change Britain” the opposition will aim to deliver economic stability, cut NHS waiting times, launch a new border security command, set up publicly-owned energy firm Great British Energy, crack down on antisocial behaviour and recruit 6,500 new teachers.

Sunak had 5 pledges and has not delivered one of them. Starmer has 6 and he will deliver on any of them. As to the costs he will just go cap in hand to his E.U. buddies or his newest buddies in the Middle east.

Apparently, it's costing £300k a day to conduct the Covid Enquiry. How on earth can it cost so much money for people to people ask questions, rarely obtain a coherent reply, and to generally waffle. We know no sensible conclusion will be made. £300k a day. My God.

She's not good at this. She's going to be so mad at the next election result and it's going to be so funny to watch her rant and rave every time the country gets a little better.

Reform isn't even a political party, it's a ltd company backed by venture capitalists and selling hate and division to make more money, only fools and racists would fall for that rubbish.
