Being a good leader first starts with leading yourself. If you can’t lead yourself, if you enjoy blaming women, if you don’t know who you are, then your influence will be weak and no woman can submit to the your mission. Stay Focused!

You all have invited comments so this is my opinion: Two Things... First...I'd like to encourage you all to match the conversational integrity and/or character of your guest. Pastor Daniels is dope, we know what he stands for and what he represents. That being said because he was respectful to accept your invite and respect your audience and platform...it would've been dope to see you all grant him that same courtesy with your language. Meaning, granting him the honor and respect of his Age, his Character, his Conversation, and his office of position. Be disciplined enough to Code switch or Match that energy. There is No Loss of authenticity nor loss of genuineness in doing that. Malcolm X was taught that people curse or use profanity because their vocabulary is limited BUT, that not the case with the Hardly Initiated Host... You all are WELL read! Secondly...I agreed with 98% of Pastor's answers, my disagreement comes with his initial answer to Purpose... As a Christian myself, Biblically a Man's purpose to work and build things that have dual utility all in one... those things or that one thing that he builds is to bring Worship to GOD while bringing Prosperity to his own House...period. That is a Very Heavy mandate, thus why over time a lot of men have abandoned it due to lack of examples, education, and affirmation thus they desire to stay children in adult bodies. But, we can't escape it...Men are created and called to carry Heavy things...and It's only when men embrace that, That Life for a Man becomes extremely enjoyable. There's so much freedom in that! 1 Corinthians 13:11 And Biblically, a woman's purpose is Family and there is so much Beauty, Power, Opportunity, Work, Growth, Prosperity, and Fulfillment in that work of Purpose. There's so much freedom in that! But, these modern times and single motherhood have tainted and or even poisoned the well. This is why the Bible says a virtuous Woman is challenging to find because most "aren't that" although some will put in the work to "become that" while extremely very few are "already that." Thus, their price is far above Rubies Proverbs 31:10 #My2Cents

Thank you. Your second point is huge and necessary. Part of the reason marriage is failing is because of elevating “who am I individually” over what God intended for men and women in marriage. And when marriages fail, church fails. I also think this is one of the reason men don’t do church because pastors don’t make it clear what men do and what women do in marriage.
@fefemarks315
@fefemarks315 Жыл бұрын
Classic example of A-trak thinking in the age of streaming. It's really difficult for some men to accept virtuous women, just like the Proverbs 31 woman, can also be very successful, business women. Women - single and married - literally supported Jesus and the disciples. Women financially contributed! (Luke 8:3) They had money. And... Jesus allowed women to learn, to ask questions, to follow him, to lead (John 20:17)... this was unprecedented and bothered a few of his disciples! That was not a woman's place! But even Jesus understood every woman wasn't going to find "so much freedom in" the traditional roles. Martha complained when Mary was learning as she slaved in the kitchen. How did Jesus respond? He affirmed the actions of Mary. PD's metaphor of abusing the microphone was spot on! You don't predicate purpose on gender alone - this is another reason why so many women feel unfulfilled when they are told their purpose is solely family. This is archaic y'all. Some men are more nurturing, some women are lionesses. In addition to this, pastors should teach men how to follow - like the disciples. Men do not just lead. Teach men how to be submissive - as scripture instructs every follower of Christ - one to another. Create whole human beings that know how to lead and submit. Lion and lamb. Another reason this binary model is faulty is because all women won't get married or desire to get married, all won't have children or can even have children... what is the role of the single, child-free woman? Who is the head of her house? (Remember, Paul said singleness is a gift.) Finally, Let's be clear, sIngle motherhood is absent fatherhood. Is this the attitude you shepherd single mothers? Do you prefer women leave children on the streets? PD is truly a treasure. This comment that encapsulates views I hear far too often from fundamentalist makes me appreciate him so much more. New supporter for sure.

I agreed with both of your points. I think with our context you might not realize your speaking about purpose in general for genders which apply to everyone and Pastor Daniels is focusing the unique purpose of the individual. As Christian’s, male/female we have things were supposed to do and as individuals with unique God given talents we have unique purpose to fulfill as well.

So happy to see PD dropping his knowledge. When I attend church service, it is disproportionately female. PD understands that he has work to do outside of the church to reach the male audience. Despite all the propaganda we repeatedly see, I desire a black man who is a sound leader that will steward the household. However, one without character cannot expect another with discernment to follow. Having PD as my pastor has transformed my life in so many ways! He just gets it!

He's the most consistent man I know till date, I never have to guess, He's so true in who he says he is and I can trust that with my eyes close. Also his confidence, oh chile, His confidence shocked me the first time I met him, not pride or arrogance cuz some get that confuse but he just had the surety of himself and the man that he is and wanna gonna be to me.

Oop, Dr. Dharius, what was that last pathway regarding purpose? We have 1. Unique Design 2. Unique Dreams 3. Unique Discontent This podcast is AMAZING. As a single millennial woman who is actively seeking the kingdom of God, practicing celibacy, defining my purpose, and striving for a level of excellence that no one around me has before, it is REFRESHING to know that there are men out here in my generation who care enough about the healing and growth of themselves for their future. I wish there was more respect for the pastor. Too much swearing for me. I wonder if he would have still used the same language in a church setting🤷🏽‍♀️. I now know why certain pastors say they aren’t invited on certain platforms. It’s because they won’t take the disrespect. Unsaved men can’t lead when they are lost themselves 🤷🏽‍♀️

Yes, family but that's not our only purpose. We are given a purpose inside the family and many times outside the family. Think Proverbs 31... The woman mentioned in Proverbs 31 is not actually one woman but what the writer was summing up for a person of wisdom to look like. We are to help procreate our children and then rear them in the right direction and maintain the structure for them to become who God created them to be. Then as you continue to read the proverb she had a business or other purpose outside of her family but it all was to edify her community and edify & enrich her family...just saying to be a little more specific for those who are offended by a woman's purpose is her family statement. We can go even further to say it should align with her spouses mission and if he's hearing from and walking with God you'll have peace around all these things. This will take time, wisdom, mentorship, and discipleship to achieve. 😊 Still on my journey as a Proverbs 31 woman...😊😅

“Real” grown men know that healing is needed. Boys that call themselves men don’t think there’s anything wrong with what they’re doing, saying, or how they’re living. Grown folks know that change and growth happens and is necessary. Folks who call themselves grown don’t care for either to occur. I don’t watch y’all regularly (I just came upon it while I was scrolling), but this particular episode was a good one. I have seen Pastor Darius Daniels; he’s a really good Pastor, and he’s wise. @J'LEN TAYLOR hey I'm speaking from a Christian faith believing perspective, so my expectations may be a bit different. But the fruit that is expected is The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control…” Those who are in Christ are distinguished from unbelievers in that they have been gifted with the Holy Spirit, enabling them to bear fruit. I've consistently heard men say they can't help it. It's their nature to "be fruitful and multiple." Misusing scripture because Jesus corrected lustful minds and sent us all a Helper that helps us correct, uproot and manage our own tree aka self. The Holy Spirit is our accountability partner! Amen, be blessed🙏

31:54 I disagree. This is still unconditional love. You’re just enforcing your boundaries. For instance, Divorcing a spouse who continually cheats on you is an act of love because you are in a way rebuking their behavior and acting like a teacher. Your teaching the person that it’s not ok that they are treating you that way as opposed to you staying with them and giving them the impression that you are complacent with their bad behavior. Discipline and enforcing consequences is an act of love in itself. Just because you enforce your boundaries doesn’t mean that your love for them has changed especially when you consider that love isn’t just a feeling you have for someone.

Its literally only Black men that feel this way. Not all. But most. A man can outwork a woman any day of the week. There is no reason why i shld have a pocket full of money and a manbe tryna eat off me to get on his feet. Its shameful. Black men are just as capable as every other man in the world. God did not create them with deficiencies. They simply need to believe in themselves, focus and do what needs to be done to take care of themselves and the families they ask for.

What the guest is talking about is role reversal or having no roles. I don’t believe in a woman’s place being in the kitchen barefoot pregnant I cook this is one of my remote days and I’m cooking now but we can’t ignore the impact of not having order and order is not dictatorship. Men are symbols of strength leadership operate out of logic because we are thinkers, we protect with our lives, we provide until we literally break our backs in some cases and we provide guide, and lastly God driven because if I recognize there is something greater than myself that will hold me accountable then I should act accordingly at least that’s how real men should operate that’s opposite from the guests perspective

The crazy part is most people believe in a name (Jesus) that's not the true original name. It was YAH. (Yahshua) (Yahweh) which is why a lot of the profits have lAH at the end of their name but pronunciation of YAH. They're HEBREW. At the time ACTS 4:12 is one the most important verses in the Bible. The letter J, English language didn't exist back then. I say that because people will argue the translation theory but they don't understand the meaning of Yahshua ( Yah is Salvation) didn't translate to the name Jesus. Changing the NAME that was designed to save us it's one of the greatest tricks of all time.... At the time of John 5:43 he (Yahshua) was still alive, which is why it's usually in red letters. The name Jesus didn't exist yet. Do your research diligently. HalleluYAH

Oh my ex was a kappa but pledged somewhere other than where he graduated. He had all the nupes following me around in college with fantastic reports. There wasn’t but 1,000 blacks anyway with 12,000 whites. Couldn’t understand probably jealous. Then my townhouse was next door to the kappa shop spot. I think I’m a ka psi phi ni pie pie pizza. Upstairs in bathroom medicine cabinet saying why are they screaming! They get outside next day dummies got scalp burns from perms and broken ribs having folks mommas on campus talking about suing. The white groups in frat row hanging black faces out windows while the butlers standing in uniform. He convinces me to pledge delta where his ex was one and his sister but dhe liked me. They started asking me for too much gifts I worked in mall. Do I dropped the line and they got put on probation for underground too long. My mother is an AKA. Nobody understood she insisted I send Kamala Harris a gift from my artwork.

Dude. I had to cram and pretend nothing was wrong in q&a for the science and math chairman ! But I don’t have time to kill you and clean blood off the paper. Imma go to class. I saw that hammer next to the keyboard though lster. I saw letters flying over the floor. Felt doooo gooder better. But they pop back in easily not phantom limb pain for amputees pain sensors on powerpoint

We had separate bank accounts. He said pay my credit cards my mother in law . Lol is responsible for ordering too. And he paid for household bills. I just said if you buy family packages either lift and separate or leave for me. I do not want to eat pork chops for 100 days! I’d say oh that’s new outfit. Jerk say oh this old. But the closet kept getting tighter and tighter. So…. What’s in your trunk with best friend confidant.

I saw my classmate in the pulpit. I said that’s CeCe but she wasn’t in stilettos carrying a bible then. I had no idea she lived so close to where I grew up because we entered school by test. I was on colorgugustd team and president of usher club why always on stage too other than ballet class in leotard mandatory dance. Uugghh but I remained in honor roll. It was modern dance she gave me a C and off honor roll because I didn’t try my best my mother’s church member said. First of all zi was cramping and mind on pad falling out in circle in room. But I was better than C with all the requirements inserted in performance. I just liked looking in all the mirrors in ballet pleating. I’m trying to get my partir go hard in the dinners shall I compare thee to a summers day thou.. I was like we will never used Shakespeare ! But his dissertation was on that. Not really but it’s interesting when I was complaining about it Helio he was failing 11th grade. And I guess nobody especially white liked me. I had one boyfriend and he got my best friend pregnant at another high school. Took my teammate to her prom and he says I’m the problem. Nope. Them hora ain’t loyal! Lol. Taught me stop telling women anything about relationship problems.

I had no money argument in marriage. He forgot the women weren’t talking to him until we started dating. I said did she call you 3 Christmases ago? Y’all daughter 25 years old. They both nurses why he went into that career besides military. Then I graduated with bachelors and went to graduate school. He got lost. I bought a plane ticket for him to come to California for my graduation both he stood me up as undergraduate. I wanted to drive back to get her across country to have a honeymoon we didn’t have because we decided not anymore toasters needed. Suddenly I’m defending myself. I packed and driven to airport so not in the dark. He watched me on stage singing every Sunday at work in chapel for volunteer minister of job we met. But now off compound internally he chose to listen to my rivals. And non of them married him after the divorce. Just saying.

I forgot I had my own refrigerator after I cooked all the meat in left side of fridge his mother gave him for her new one. It stopped working and he kept saying put meat in cooler. So one day I bought another one. His mother comes with teeth clacking needing orajel about a missing fridge i said get out. No lol really just reminded her I like new things too. So she buys me some perfume named fleur with flower on bottom of bottle. Then later my lab job chief was named le fleur. I mentioned that and the man starts at me. Just conversation. I didn’t name his family nor feel bad about throwing old fridge out door. I’m talking sometimes men need to put their momma in place. I’m not going to fight about my house at all. But in good news I blame my mother in law for telling me about all of comenity bank online stores she was ordering from. Now I got 5 stores that won’t cease catalogs! Had it not been for sitting over there told to lay in his bed growing up. Lol.

In my opinion I believe a husband should feel safe to be vulnerable with his wife Is this always the case? No because when you have two broken people And only one of them is working towards healing then you have a hot mess codependency issues This is why as much as I desire a husband I will not take any man hostage I'm waiting For me to be Whole So while in a relationship when these issues arise We can sit down and reason together and support one another because a husband and wife should be them two against All odds My man should not have to drive around the corner three times Before he fell safe to come home Because when he comes home I need him to be present Not just coexisting
