I have the Huntsman Elite and it's a good keyboard. But I have a few problems with it: - The buttons are small and close to each other, it's easy to fat finger even after half a year of use. I had the Razer Tarantula previously and I never missed the buttons with that. - The keys are extremely loud and the whole house can hear me typing. - The keys are to easy to press, not enough counter force. I found myself pressing space or shift when I didn't intend too. I couldn't feel my fingers pressing it down. - If you lock your PC Synapse loses it setting and the lighting goes back to default. It's annoying at night.

I just went and picked up this board after using a membrane keyboard from Corsair... loving it so far. My first mechanical keyboard. First thing that sticks out to me the most is the response of the keys. They are sensitive as hell! I even have to be very deliberate in the way i'm typing this now to prevent typing mistakes. And look at that - the same was just mentioned around the 5 minute mark lol! Besides that i'm loving the actuation point of these keys when it comes to games. When I press a button it no longer feels like I have to damn near bottom the button out to get an input. Split second decisions in games actually matter now lol. Swapped out most of the keys with the HyperX pudding caps for the ultimate unicorn barf RGB shine through... although the clacking of the keys are louder now since these key caps are half as thin as the original key caps. The board was pretty tame in regards to sound with the default keys. Went and picked up the Logitech 502 Lightspeed mouse alongside it and can't wait to dive into its features a bit more but that's another topic. (And yes, part of this essay is to get a better feel of typing on this thing lmao)

I dug a single one of these out of a disorganized wal mart with the green keycaps. Transfixing. 23 pistil-orange Additional Textured orange rubber shine through caps on the way to me, 6 green tinted rainbow stainless steel WASD and arrow keys also coming. Working on ideas for a design to paint the frame. In case u hasn't guessed, I'm going for a classy ganja theme. Probably a lagoon landscape. *Dampeners added for faster quieter strokes and it was already buttery smooth. Ordered the fnatic 65 LP in white a week ago but i had been after this model with the green caps for a very long time and never got it so there was zero chance I wasn't buying it.

The sound you are referring to at 4:25 is the "metal ping" also found in the Steelseries 6GV2 for example. It actually is the metal plate underneath the frame that makes that resonance sound and is a sign of a good quality (not cheaped out) and rigid keyboard.

(2) Also no Razer device can remember their RGB settings, always switching to default "color changing cycle" without Synapse running on background (and eating bunch or RAM like worst bloatware besides Asus' bloatware). (3) And the last but not least: Synapse is glitching as when you're using remote desktop software, which is kinda main stream in 2020 conditions.

Literally bought this keyboard like 9 hours ago, I love it, but the only thing that kind of annoys me is the short actuation point. I sometimes press a key without meaning to, but I guess I need more time to get used to it.

Trust me as an owner for over two months though it gets better it doesn’t go away and becomes an extreme annoyance no matter what anyone tells you. All on a sudden your moving on screen and realize your resting your finger on a key by mistake.

I will say that as someone that doesnt game as much with this keyboard it sound signature really lacks; i made it more tolerable with thick 6mm neoprene foam, some spray lubing (at your own risk) and some o-rings to decrease the plastic on plastic sound that the keys give while typing. this are the best things you can do to make this keyboard get its best sound signature.

5:33 A major problem after 2 month is that I drop the keyboard from my coffee table onto a wooden floor and the bottom left cover where the ctrl is at so what happen is that cover band in and now it’s harder to press the ctrl key and I think the reasons for it banding is because of the design, first is the metal backplate as it is quite thin and the keyboard is a open style also all four sides of the metal back plate is not flush in to the side of the keyboard

So if you cannot rest your fingers on your keyboard, your hand would prolly have to be rested on the wrist completely for long periods of time at an awkward angle? Doesn't it start to hurt or cramp up after a few hours of gaming?

4:26 It looks like Razer fixed that awful pinging noise as I just got this keyboard and mine doesn't have this issue, although it is quite loud and clacky, but as this is a gaming keyboard, that doesn't really matter in my opinion. Although, it is disappointing that it still has the uneven lighting problem on its keycaps, but I got this keyboard only for the linear optical switches and 1mm activation so it doesn't bother me that much. And afaik, the keycaps can be replaced.

That metallic resonance sound grinds my gears, though I am sensitive to that frequency range. My old CM Quickfire Ultimate has the least, with the stabilizers being an exception, I had a Logitech G Pro for a bit that I didn't like for that resonance sound, and my Ducky One 2 Mini has it but its strangely muted and has a different tone so it doesn't bother me. I was able to try the huntsman TE in store and it was like nails on a chalkboard lol
@blahorgaslisk77635 жыл бұрын
A few hours with an angle grinder and no hearing protection will fix that problem. But don't over do it or you end up needing hearing aid and then you will really learn to hate that metallic clack... Jokes aside I totally understand your "nails on chalkboard" comment. Used to have that problem, but with age and being stupid about hearing protection, though in my case it was servers and not power tools, I've been "cured" of that. I just miss hearing a lot of the sounds I remember from my youth.
@storm_rl5 жыл бұрын
@@blahorgaslisk7763 Lol, in line with my dad telling me to rub my hands with sandpaper and harden up my keyboard hands I wouldn't even say my hearing is that great, just seem to be sensitive in that particular range. I've dumped a fair bit into audio now and it's always the same range that blows out and stops me from going louder when everyone else I know just cranks it

I got the Huntsman TE last month after both versions for Razer BlackWidow Chroma TE failed on me (V1 after 6 months and V2 after 1.5 years) because of dust issues. Hoping this one lasts. Adjusting to the feel of the switches has been interesting as I was used to the Razer Green Switches for so long, and accidental keypress because of your fingers resting on the keys was definitely an issue in the first few weeks. But overall, I'm liking this keyboard a lot more compared to the BlackWidow TEs I had, and I've actually grown to like the sound since it's a lot quieter compared to the Razer Green switches and I'm sort of getting used to not hitting the keys too hard because of the low actuation force required (I'm a software engineer so have to do a lot of typing).
@theendurance4 жыл бұрын
@UzEEInc how is it now? Did you get used to the actuation force?
@uzeeinc4 жыл бұрын
@@theendurance it's working great so far. I'm a developer so I type a lot and the actuation force often leads to typos. And in games I still sometimes find me self drifting in the wrong direction because I was resting my finger on a movement key. But I have more trouble now when I use a keyboard with clicky switches, so overall I'm happy with it.

@@eeeFloww Yeah I got it and it was too light and fast. I have large hands so whenever I rested my fingers, it'd activate the switches and I'd swing out by accident and die. There's not a lot of demand for white peripherals, especially ones that receive human contact as a primary form of use because white shows every speck of dust, dirt, and whatever else is on your fingers. Your best bet is probably to get some white keycaps.
