I think my main issue with the 1000D is how the hell you move it once a full build (or two) is installed! Great video Dmitry, +1 for having a 1000D end table for the past 4 months 😁

Omg I don't even want to think about how to move this sucker once the builds are in. But yeah, you're totally right. I might need to call a few friends to just move the system. What are you planning on doing with yours? -D.

I decided that I don't want to try to figure out what to do with it after I'm done making the build/videos, so I'm planning to use it! Somehow this needs to fit into my computer room with an editing/gaming 1950X build on top and a FreeNAS mini-ITX system on the bottom

why would you waist over a minute just setting a computer into a case where the fan airflow is totally blocked ??? all those new stupid case end up running with open side panels......., not even speaking of the fan controller which is too small ? the power button on the back ? no place for mounting extra video cards ? small display for second pc ? price ? what is this... seriously ? This case has nothing nice, its just an heavy pile of junk.

I think it's too gigantic. I can't see for who it's made for... Two systems in one case and there is still place to be filled, if you go for air cooled system. Yes it's especially made for extreme watercooling systems but at what cost ? 500$ is ok for this case. Maybe reducing it's size on the top and the front with the same layout and you have the almost perfect full tower case. A purple build ? AMD Threadripper on EATX mobo (ASUS Zenith) and Intel 8700k on the miTX tray. Red and blue makes purple. And that's a good match. As usal a very cool video Dimitri !

I don't think many streamers can afford this type of machine, and I think plenty of them want to stream and play with the same machine. I still think this case is a showcase (as it was for Computex 2017) for high end watercooling machines. IMHO.
@MuShinnen
@MuShinnen 6 жыл бұрын
I know plenty of streamers that could afford a build like this. More and more of them are making the switch to having a dedicated streaming system, and a dedicated gaming system to reduce heat, and improve the quality of their streams. There are also enthusiasts with the money to do it. I was looking at getting the Enthoo Elite for just this purpose, but I do like the way this case has everything set up. And yes, that's exactly the purpose of the case, to be a high end watercooling machine, so in the end you kind of answered your own question in regards to who this case is for. It's for anyone who wants to build a high end water cooled machine.

Also 30Kg empty makes for a pretty darn heavy complete system.

Geez, case is absolutely massive. If I'd say what I would do in that case is 1 main stream PC that's used for regular uses, gaming, watching vids, editing etc, and the other to be a streaming PC because some people have a separate PC to stream. That's just what I would do. Love your vids Dimitri, keep up the great work you're almost at that million!!

A gaming setup for the ITX system and for the top build having a server build would be pretty epic. Something like VMware ESXi/Proxmox/XenServer running VM's like FreeNAS to control most of the storage, pfSense for a badass router, and a windows VM with a GPU and a USB controller being passed through for the workstation VM comes to mind for like an editing/rendering box or stream capture comes to mind. Would make for a relatively compact beast of a system.

is to big and the motherboards are not back to back vertically, as a normal case, that's why i said mirrored atx motherboards. Also i dont need water cooling, just many air fans. Is there a case like that?
@JamesSmith-hg2rt
@JamesSmith-hg2rt 6 жыл бұрын
i dont think the manufacturers want to make a 2nd version of every motherboard that is mirrored just to fit a specific case. it would make things confusing having a left or right orientation motherboard to choose. i know there is BTX motherboard layout which is mirrored but that is obsolete. unless im not understanding what you mean.

Wow this Corsair 1000D looks really fun to build a custom water loop in. The Corsair Obsidian 'D' series line up like the 750D and 900D has been infamously used for custom water loop builds by Pc enthusiasts, known for its rigid all Steel premium material and spacious design has made the Obsidian D-Series the "Go-To" for serious high end, Full-Tower(ATX) Custom water-loop builds. I myself, have built my first build with the Corsair 750D(air flow edition) and was excellent and very pleasant to build in. It looks like Corsair really put a lot of thought into the design with this 1000D, I really like the dual 120mm, rear exhaust mounts and french doors which is new and unique. I always looked at the Obsidian D series more for its Function, but with the new trend of Tempered Glass that Corsair has added for both front and back for the 1000D will able to let you show your extreme beautiful bends and loops. With all that space and capable of adding 6 intake fans in the front! Will most def' be keeping your system cool. I will be really looking forward to what custom water-cooling build enthusiasts will be creating with this Corsair 1000D case. Achtung~"Glorious Master PC-Race"!!

That's a minibar! You cloud use all that space to build a leak-proof system with all radiators and pumps and reservoirs in the outer section, separate it with an acrilic gutter above the motherboard and only essential pipes and blocks on the electronics area. Using ilumination on the acrilic itself with you channel logo drawn with spray paint would be even more awesome!

- no fans included - no aluminum body/panels - non removable drive cage in 2018? - entire floor of this huge case is wasted - top 120 mm compatible bracket sold separately - frame so light and unbalanced opening the glass door makes the case tip over (second Corsair case like this) no wonder it's half the price of the Enthoo Elite. it has half the stock radiator support, is made cheaper and has no included fans. the Elite comes with all the bracket options, adapters and accessories in the box. so out of box rad support in this 1000D is two 480's, a 420 and a 120/140 on the rear? am I crazy or does this case have less rad support than the 900D? that was two 480's, two 240/280's and a 120/140 out of the box. this case makes you appreciate the ridiculously priced Enthoo Elite and Caselabs cases for not half assing it. Corsair should stay in their lane.

glad I could shed some light for you. lately it seems we can add Corsair to the list with Antec and Cooler Master, using a good name they earned with past great products to sell poorly thought out and poorly implemented cases to people who still trust in their name value. this is just the latest and biggest blunder since the 780T (a huge case that holds less rad volume than Corsair's own smaller full towers the 750D and 760T). like Cooler Master is known for, Corsair are prioritizing shiny looking exteriors over internal functionality and flexibility.

- Many people prefer the looks of the 1000d to the enthoo elite because of the full glass casing -Radiator support in this case is actually 2x 480mm and 2x 360mm - with push pull (you'd have to buy the extra bracket for the top, its 10$); enthoo elite has something like 4x 480mm rad support -1000d is significantly cheaper -One thing I didnt like about the 1000d is the window tint - why would they do that!??! When it comes to cases like this...we approach enthusiast builds - people stop caring about purchasing extra brackets or fans because this is usually what they build their dream case in.

Well as a sugestion, you can make a workstation in the main system, and as for the mini itx, make a nas or file server with 10gb addon card (probably that's the idea of having 2 systems and the power button in the back). Since I personally don't use the reset button since dual core CPU's appeared, I would use the front reset button for the second system's power button.

You should do a 1950x eatx with a 8700k itx build! All radiators should be in push pull, just to to show exactly how much can be put into the case

Dmitri and Iber produce superb videos with amazing production value. Hardware Canucks need a bigger, better office space with flagship rigs sponsored by Origin PC to do their work on. I think we all can agree that these guys work their butts off and deserve it. I really hope I get the pleasure of meeting you guys some day. Keep up the amazing work!

It looks great! I think quad 1080 ti's across two loops with a dual socket cpu motherboard and vrm cooler having it's own thick radiator. I count three loops so far. that's a start.

I think you should consider some sort of Threadripper or X-series server type set up for the ITX (never need to trun it off, really) and then a totally over the top E-ATX for the main system multi GPU, multi M.2 & SSD/HDD RGB everywhere!

you should do a Threapripper 1950X build along with a 7980XE build inside of the case.

A Red and black themed Ryzen Thread-ripper Build with a itx Ryzen 7 build would be awesome to see. If you could put Vertical graphics card at the front so you could Have 2 on the main build with another on the 2nd build; Setting all 3 vertical in the front would look beautiful. Only if Corsair has a custom piece to allow you to do that. Considering that tank of a case definitely has the room for it.

if youre not so familiar with dual systems then just make something easy like a straming rig - i think this could be of interest for some people. The water cooling... of course a sick hard tubing would be awesome... but i think a closed loop for the main pc and air cooling for the second one would be ok also.

Yups, Dmitri, you are on the right track, full custom loop, dual 1080 Ti (or triple but how good does 3 way sli work these days?) And some epic processor (x299 or x399). Great video, thanks!

I'm speechless. I saw this chassis at Computex last year and it was honestly massive. Seeing it with "ordinary" hardware inside really makes you understand how GARGANTUAN (God, I love this word so much xD) the 1000D is. How about hardline tubing for those systems? And maybe NO mechanical hard drives? NVMe+PCIe only to make it the most silent dual build ever?

My only suggestion for a case build is this: imagining the “ultimate” streamer set up. The main system being Intel Coffee Lake, while the system that handles the “stream” being whatever you want. Ryzen 2. Previous generation Intel or AMD. But basically the idea is the perfect machine for a streamer (or anyone who runs two PC’s). One case saves space.

I would go full circle on this build and go with any rgb. TG looks good when it's just being shiny too

Got an idea for you. Yes, it's water-cooled, but check this out... What about a single loop for both systems, GPUs included? I sure would love the opportunity to work on that kind of build!

Thanks for a great video, pro made. I really didn't think that the case is so big.. I have Antec 1200 and i think it is much smaller than Corsair 1000D. Totally OVERKILL. Great for full water cooling! Thumbs up!

Add some wheels and drive it around? Water park? Computer/Ultimate hamster cage? I'd probably consider a rack-mounted system if I needed that much capacity.

I have the 900D and it is an absolute beast. Yes, its very heavy. But that will feel like nothing once you've installed your custom loop with a ton of rads. I can barely lift the case. It will definitely not get stolen :)

Do a dual watercooled system with 3 hardline watercooled loops. 1 for the itx system. 1 for the multi gpus and 1 for the main system CPU. I think a pale blue liquid for 2 loops and one loop with nickel plated brass/copper tubing would look fantastic. If in doubt drop the loop for the itx system and just do two loops. And if you have the means or contacts, try very lightly coat the clear part of the res for the metal tubing loop with a very thin layer of nickel, to give it a metallic sheen. Well that's what I'd do if I had the money lol.

Oh also please adhere to a color theme and don't do the rainbow LEDs. Most systems these days look like unicorn puke just because people are too lazy to configure their RGB setup and leave it on rainbow puke all the time. Hate the trend. You do RGB because you want to be able to change the color theme to your mood. Not because you want to have all colors at the same time!

If you go highend then use X399 and Threadripper, TR vastly outsold any Intel X299 platform CPU in 2017/2018. Most enthusiasts also take budget into consideration.

This Machine is a Gaming/Stream Machine dream, no need for two cases. Curious what the heating would be like with a ITX Threadripper for handling compression's and main board being Intel for the gaming. Looking forward to getting one of these cases in the future.

Build: Dual socket EPYC in the top, Threadripper itx in the bottom. Cool top with custom water loop bottom with an AIO. OR Threadripper on top custom loop. Ryzen 2700x on bottom. Cool the bottom with a 360 AIO like the x72 if you are up for a challenge and maxing out the rad space on this case. USE dual 1080tiS on both top builds.

Actually this case would let you take advantage of the best of both CPU companies. Put a lower count Intel CPU, say 6 to 8 core, overclock it like hell, and have the space to cool it, then slap in a Ryzen system on the bottom, as the heat output isn't hard to handle. However idk if AMD has an ITX board right now. The perfect stream/game and production system (s).

Honestly, I think a small Ryzen 7 gaming PC at the bottom and ATX some Intel work station up top to have the best of both worlds, all ran on 1 single loop to keep both CPU'S and all the GPU'S at the same temp would be perfect for this build! When others did their builds they ran separate loops for each computer, or only liquid cooled the top build, you should run both on the same loop, and having the best of both worlds in there, would be pretty epic!

System 1 - Thread Ripper 128GB RAM - System 2 Ryzen 2 32GB Ram. Have it all hard line water cooled with the biggest/beafiest radiators available. since it's 2018, full RGb everything possible. 2x 8TB for storage - each 1 HD. both systems coupled wth a nice pair of M.2 SSD's in Raid 0 and eeeehhmm... I would buy this case!
