I really did want to like the dynamic but it had some compatibility issues for watercooling. My gpu waterblocks wouldn't fit and my 360 rad wouldnt fit on the side. If it was an 5mm wider I would have loved this case

I bought the Lian-Li PCO11 Dynamic (white) about 3 weeks ago without looking at any reviews or anything. I saw it on Amazon and just knew it was the one. I'm glad I watched this video, you've kinda made my day. It's a beautiful case with amazing cable management options, my build isn't finished but I can already tell I'm going to love it.

Check out the corsair 280x. It's not perfect, but you can easily mod it to make it work better than stock. Eg I am running an Itx board so I can fit rads at the top and bottom, I removed the front glass (all screws, no breaking stuff needed) and it still looks good and allows for airflow, you can raise the feet for better airflow at the bottom, and with the drive cages removed the back has tons of room for fan controllers, RGB, pump, res, and a big PSU even as well. I'm very pleased with how it turned out. Only gripe was I couldn't get 3 rads to fit at once

5:05 Have you heard of Louqe's Ghost S1? It has pretty much the exact same concept of the Riotoro Morpheus (expandable height) but the Ghost S1 is a mini-ITX case. It is also pretty well-recieved, and JayzTwoCents used the case in his video about building the smallest watercooled PC he has ever attempted.

I was only made aware of this channel recently, and I must say I am a huge fan. So now I'm binge watching all their older videos. Unbiased and very informative. Topics are well-presented and well-edited. I am currently trying to build a Razer-inspired PC myself. The NZXT H440 Razer Edition really caught my eye. But now I can see it is not without its drawbacks. The Define R5 looks like the better and more practical choice. If only it came in a Razer Edition, then I'm sold. Thanks Hardware Canucks.

My favorite video of the year! This is the place I come for case reviews. Good choices in each category as well. I completely agree with your choice for case of the year. I'd definitely choose that for my next build, if only it came completely white and not black and white together.

Finian Blackett Ill look into those, these Corsair ones have a horrible mid pitch humming from 800-850rpms. Im rather disappointed.

@@Mazdabater07 I can confirm this. And I used to use nothing but Noctua fans. I can hear the clock on the wall 20 feet away in my computer room, but almost can't hear the ML 120s at 750 rpm despite the fact they're 2 feet from me. At 750 rpm they move more than enough air to keep everything in my 011 Dynamic very cool while looking good. Can't say the same for Noctua. I actually started trying other fans because I kept getting Noctua fans with a hum. No bearing hum with maglev fans.

I bought it and then I returned. It really is beautiful but I reallly hated how the glass panels were so tricky to take off along with the sliding disks they used for cable management to the front. The enthoo pro m is amazing and has all i really need along with a smaller compact form.

Sidney Horne / yep, I understand how you feel. As we both know the CD/DV D drive is dead. I have one in one of my old work station. It's only used for doing some simple CAD and 3D rendering. It's will over a year and haven't ran a CD in it. So when I built my new Ryzen system I picked the H500i. No access to a built in drive. I'm good with that and for now I can access the DVD player over my home network. The RGB is amazing I'm sure the system runs faster with it. 😜

​@@jazzt3839 - Yee, there was too many RGB trends in 2018 which made everything look cheap and kid-ish. However, NZXT is pushing that trend away and it looks like more and more case manufactures are following the idea of minimal or simple designs.

I've always liked Fractal for this. Like the R6 or meshify. I do like some RGB; but only when it's done tastefully, just to highlight the other components (mainly in white, but I do like to change it up for christmas); it's a shame when case manufacturers do it themselves because it is normally too obvious or not diffused properly (h700i has terrible diffusion). Hopefully in 2019 we will see more cases like Fractal's or NZXT's non "I" cases.

I bought Cooler Master Q300L only because of you and I am very happy with it. Using I5 8400, GTX 1080 mini with cooler master H410r air cooler and my CPU temps never gone above 75 deg even at heavy load. Thank you Dimitri. Its good to see Q300L in your list. :-)

For all the flack that the H500P caught, glad that the H500M was just the panel concerns. It was a pretty big pain to get all the equipment in the case, but I love the way mine looks now that everything is together and it's easy to maintain now that it's set.

How come O11 Dynamic is praised for great airflow with same dust filters as O11 Air?

The dynamic doesn't have the choking front dust filters. That's the main complaint. The front air filter creates too much resistance. Gamers Nexus and Dmitri both agreed that simply removing it yields better results. You don't have that problem with the dynamic since the front is glass too.

The Q300L is my go to for all my builds i order them by the dozen and customers love the looks without the added cost. great air flow and one thing you should have mentioned Dmitry is it can be placed on it's side and used as a HTPC.

Cooler Master has made some amazing cases this year. One of them being the H500. Not the P, not the M, but the regular one without the extra nonsense. And honestly, building with the Q300L is just an amazing experience. I own both those cases and I just love the HAF design trend.

I don't like modern case designs. Why have a giant tower design when it doesn't even house a single 5 1/4 inch drive anymore? That form factor was designed decades ago for utilitarian purpose, and now it's just taking up needless space.
