If actually 2x (!) 20cm fans fit perfectly in the front panel (480x234mm), it's so stupid to design the front panel with 3x 12cm fans instead. Bigger fan - more air flow and less noise. I would only buy this pc case for modding it, making some changes to install 2x 20cm fans in front.
@NYcibbyRyder7 жыл бұрын
A solution for the bottom is to mount the m.2 bracket EVEN if you don't have an m.2 to put in it. The reason is you can run the cables taut underneath it. It keeps them flat. I also found if you run the cables that need to go there up from the psu basement instead of through the rubber grommet it helps to keep them taut and out of sight. I wish I could post a pic of it to show you.

Dimitry I have to say that you make the best adds out of all the main tech youtubers that I watch (LTT, Bitwit, Paul's Hardware, JayzTwoCents, Austin, etc...)!!! The adds actually have quality of an almost cinematic sense and I love the whole "terminator" vibe that you got going with the NZXT cooler. I watched your review of that cooler and am seriously thinking of getting it to upgrade my Cooler Master 212 Hyper EVO so I can finally do some overclocking on my 2 year old CPU. As for the case in this video tempered glass would be nice but I would be freaked out about damaging it cause I like to move my PC around a lot for LAN parties or gaming in the living room when family come over, anti-social I know but they don't mind occasionally! :) However I have to say that the Corsair 570X would look nice with some LEDS and a full custom water loop. Thanks for the review, Dimitry - Keep up the good work!! :)

Thanks for a great, thorough review. I was hoping for this in a full tower size, and I almost purchased this one. I pulled back because of the limited space at the top for radiator fans, such limited wiring options and exposed wiring at the power supply. Thanks for exposing the flaws in this beautiful 'glass house.'

Corsair released an update to this case since this video fixing a few issues. PSU is not fully shrouded and has a grommet. Wiring management could still be improved slightly but overall I managed to tuck everything in really nicely. The top has a Corsair H100i Pro with ample clearance for ram. The radiator does cover the kobo a bit bit its not a big deal. I would say my only real issue with this case is the inability to turn the lights off completely. I feel like the RGB would have been a lot better if it was part of the Link system and could sync up with my AIO cooler. And even better than that if both worked in mystic light. Overall I really like this case and I would totally recommend it now.

I bought one of these a few weeks ago (from amazon) and it does indeed have a full sheet metal cover for the PSU shroud now. I wonder if they added it after release. Recently got this case, it looks stunning. There have been changes to the case since this review, the important one I've noticed is that Corsair added a rubber grommet down in the PSU shroud by the side where the front panel connectors are on the motherboard. This helps clean up the wiring but is still not as necessary a change as closing the PSU shroud.

@ChrisRand-gf7lz8 жыл бұрын
I know it was a review of the form and appearance, but did you have a chance to measure the performance of the fans? At the front, they have 3 fans with a pieces of glass in front of them and maybe 1" of gap around the edges to allow for air flow and to me this creates a giant restriction to air flow as, unless the fans included are high static pressure fans capable of probably at least .5" WG SP, all fans are their most efficient when capturing air directly in front of the fan face, and the more you move to the side the less efficient they become eventually only capturing a fraction of the air that they can compared to directly in front. Forcing the fans to capture air from the sides where they are the least efficient seems like a giant oversight just for a bit of visual appeal, whether intentional or not.

Just a little update since i just built in this case yesterday. They added a rubber grommet to the power supply shroud. If u still use a hard drive (I do) u need a sata cable with 2 flat sides! If u have one with a 90 degree angle u won't be able to put ur glass back on the cable side. ALSO I highly recommend sleeved cables. I used EVGA's cables from their G3 850 and all of their cables are fat so i wasn't able to put the cover back on. Also my last issue with the case (well more corsair) is that u cannot mix and match fans on their lighting node. I had some ML120s that i was bringing from my old case and the case comes with SP120s. If u mix and match only one set of RGB will work. Overall this case is not build friendly. Once u start mixing all of ur RGB controllers it becomes a tangled mess so quick I just stared at the back to figure out how the hell i was going to make it somewhat neat. It's a beautiful case but it's definitely not for me.

Hi Dimitri, if you put another exhaust fan at the end. Doesn't that make this case very negative pressured? I notice that there is a gap between the case itself and the tempered glass on both side which is absolutely not good under negative pressure circumstance. But, if you don't put the exhaust fan, does this case have enough air flow to cool all the components down? Thanks!

I don't know why are visible cables such a "problem" to many pc enthusiasts. I do not think the cables should all be hidden. They are a part of the system guts, and some of them should be visible, especially if they are custom color braided, and well routed. I think they give that cyborg look to a pc, it looks more alive. I like that.

I bought one of these cases. Although I am basically happy with this, there is one thing that bugs me: as far as I can tell I cannot turn of the LEDs on the fans at the front of the box. Although I think the lighting is generally attractive, I'm a video editor not a gamer. Lots of times I am working late at night in a dark studio, the lights can be distracting. I understand that I can go into the case and install a switch to disable the LEDs. This is a bit of a hassle and most of the time, I like the LEDs.

Just wanted to add that for some reason that PSU shroud just doesn't look right out of the box and that Corsair actually has acknowledged that people don't like how open it is and they do sell an end cover for the 570x on the Corsair website for around $5. It's not a great solution, I would much rather prefer an extension piece like the one present in the 460x but I suppose this was all that Corsair could do so late on into production. It's not great but its a hell of a lot better
