I had a silver Silverstone FT05, and a black FT02 before that. fantastic cases. one of the most underrated benefits of the rotated mobo/vertical GPU is no sagging cards, and great airflow with blower style cards. I had two 980ti's wedged into the FT05, with no major issues.

I told her due to the cableing, I would have to have the rear facing the desk and the front facing away. If air was in from rear and bottom and out was top and side/aio that would be perfect. Glass would face out. I really need good filters due to animals.....only neg is buttons would be by the wall.......which I'm fine with as I don't use them much.

So there is one field to improve - I had ALTA F1 from Silverstone and there is one condition for such cases - TT fulfills all, except one - access to the I/O of Motherboard and GPU. I personally think this is one of the best cases, if the price will not be too high - its COMPLETE case with all dust filters, its a pity we have plastic on the top (where all heat will cumulate and exit - plastic "shouts" (reaction to temperature change) is inevitable with time). But that top can be made better - TT, if you reading this - if motherboard and GPU are lowered to accommodate stiffness of the cables, just put some big bar from case front to case back, that will block the vision through tempered glass. After this remove some structure overload and you will get more clearance for cable management near I/O's. Dont forget to give user some velcro stripes for the cables out there (on top). With all that said, to get case top metal structure you can get standard case back side (with standard atx cutouts + 1 for additional fan) and reinforce structure by making it thicker (that top panel) or by adding some structural beams. Or create that panel with welded beams.

Keep in mind that this 80 degrees is GPU chip temperature, video memory is usually 15-25 degrees hotter. The only effective way to lower high GPU temps is to replace shitty stock thermal pads and paste with high quality 3rd party ones like Thermalright or Gelid Solutions. No need to spend hundreds of dollars on fancy cases, most basics cases with 2 140s in and one 120 out can provide decent airflows just fine. Removing dust filters and front panel can drastically improve airflow, but this is kinda personal thing.

I picked this case up at Memory Express not realizing what it's true nature is. It's almost a shock with number of major changes I have to adapt to and learn. Overall, mostly good changes but connecting the motherboard rear to the outside is really cumbersome. At least most fan configuration create positive overpressurization to keep the dust out at the minor sacrifice to total air cooling. It's a very sexy case once you cram with an AIO CPU liquid cooler kit even though I am not a big fan of such unreliable kits (their pumps suck and break down in a couple of years)

Fantastic Case. The only downfall was you cannot mount the radiator inside on the side panel exhaust. A 360 or like mine H170i Capellix with fans inside running as exhaust blocks the ATX power cords [CableMod] from coming through the case pre cut slot. There is no pre cut on the mounting bracket for the intake and output tubes for the radiator to be mounted outside by the wiring case area. So I used tin snips and a file and was able to mount the radiator outside and the fans inside. Running in idol the 13900k at 5.5 OC is 30 to 34 degrees RTX 3090Ti Suprim is 28 degrees. Full boar gaming with iCUE set on extreme cpu averages 78 degrees. Best case over the many others i have ever used.

Man case manufacturers really need to get some people with basic engineering knowledge on board because frankly, the layout of this is abysmal. The whole chimney setup is just wrong in the context of modern high-end GPUs with flow-through heatsinks. In this configuration, you've basically no choice but to exhaust the hot air from the GPU right into the intake of the CPU. There is no way to get clean, cool air to the CPU in this case. A traditional layout but with the CPU fan flipped around to take air in from the rear would be a lot better. Then both the CPU and the GPU have their own cool air supply and exhaust into the front of the case, allowing for much easier exhaust configuration. You wouldn't even need too many fans, just enough to get the GPU and CPU the air that they need, and one or two fans to exhaust the hot air. This is a configuration that's commonly used in the NR200, which allows for extremely good cooling using just a couple of fans. On a full-sized case, you'd have even more options. For example, you could provide modular paritions to prevent the GPU exhaust from mixing with the CPU, a space below the GPU to stuff a shitload of side-mounted fans to increase the air pressure on the GPU intake, modular ducting systems, etc.

Well, this was kinda made for water cooling. At the very least, the CPU has to have a radiator. For a custom loop, as I'll be running in it, there's be no problem at all. For air cooler, the smaller C700 would make more sense, since the fans by the motherboard are removed, so the front fans are much closer to the the CPU.

Unfortunately this case has a major flaw, this GPU orientation doesn't work well for most of gpu coolers and you will see around 15c higher temps. And no amount of fans will fix that... So you have case that is too large, has too many fans that add to the cost but you still get worse thermals compared even to really small cases. Dmitry great review as always :)

I don't think this thing can outperform HAF 700 with 13 fans.. Dimitry pls test it.. you have one! 😁 I have that case but also an old system ( saving for new one ) so i can't compare it.. Btw pc looks cool and "odd", i like look of it.. but i think they can't figure out how to cool properly gpu.. Would be perfect with some custom made heatskink for gpu, which will have lenght of 120mm fan and fans can blow through it.. that will have big benefit in this config ( in theory lol ). but how gpu's are designed right now.. no matter where or how you put it it will have the same temps.. fans hit the fins and goes on sides.. Maybe i cross now in science fiction but would be more logical we have third party gpu heatskinks/fins which was longer and you can force air through them, not into them..same principle what we have for CPU heatsinks, just not to be in that shape ofc.. idk that's just my thoughs 😁

I'm not surprised in a way that this is a Thermaltake case as it somewhat reminds me of my Core P6 case. I actually run 12 fans in that, but it is normally near silent due to the airflow being so good. I do eventually need to get some of those swafans though, I'd love not looking at the back of some of my intake fans.

How about front exhaust, top 240mm liquid cooled gpu exhaust, bottom -back intake, .... Wonder how would it perform.

Thermaltake needs to make an updated Core V21 cube case as that also has really great airflow due to the mesh sides (save for one side being a plexiglass window) and I can orient the fans anyway I want (with the front intake being a 200mm low RPM thus silent fan). This has helped me keep an air cooled system at the 40C mark in the middle of summer.

I love this case, it would have been fantastic if it just had better cable management, unfortunate, I would have loved to be 100% convinced, I planned to run it inverted because I have a left desk and I don't mind the power cable going in from the front, but the usb cables coming in as well would be too much.... ughhh

What if you make a custom venturi shrowd from the gpu exhaust to a exhaust fan directly? Like 3D print one?

With all that internal volume they should have made a separate gpu enclosure to separate heat sources. Case fail.

Is that literally what you have to do to get people to run a vertical mount cpu cooler hahaha

GPU high temp may be the problem from GPU's heatpipes orientation.
