Glad u found your way out. My dad was like this. He was alcoholic and police chief so it was hard to get out. I was only 5 sent to grandparents and mom hid. My uncle went to our house to find my dad with bottle of whiskey and service pistol, he did what Hardy did himself. I don’t remember him and luckily mom found my now dad. He took care of me like I was his own and it’s been 40 years. I have a hole in moms room with pic over hole from his fist as a reminder. Mom told of stories where she to run out of house out into the woods. Anyway glad you found a “MAN” and got out alive and so sorry u had to go through it.

Oh Andy you're so welcome. Yes, it makes me sick to watch how men are treated like they're animals in this country that can only be the perpetrators when that's not true AT ALL. Men can be abused and taken advantage of the exact same as women. I'm so sorry you experienced that. So many men don't report it or get away from it because of how society treats abused men vs how they treat abused women so I am so sorry you went through that and I am so proud of you that you made it out. @@andybrekken3063 ohhhhh Andy! Well allow me to give you some pointers on this if that's ok. 1) start collecting evidence. You can start recording the conversations and/or @buse someway. Voice recordings or video or both. 2) start taking pictures of damages or injuries. 3) try to journal in your phone or in a notebook when the incidents occur, the date, time, location, the details of what happened, and just keep good notes on it. 4) do not tell her you're leaving. Just literally get up and walk out one day while she's at work or something. 5) notify someone you can trust so they know what the situation is. And 6) take your evidence and go straight to the courthouse with it, get a protective or restraining order against her immediately! You deserve so much better my friend and I'll be praying for you! 🩷🙏🩷

@@JusticeJunkies1 I greatly appreciate the advice. I have started documenting at the advice of someone I had confided in. I’m curious, and feel free to say no, but I was wondering if there was another platform that we could stay in contact on. If you are uncomfortable with that, I completely understand. If there is one, let me know and I can give you my name for that platform. I only ask because I appreciate your support and if it’s ok I was wondering if you would be willing to be someone I could talk to or get advice from. But I’m a little uncomfortable the wrong person may recognize my name in the comments and tell her about what I may be sharing causing backlash against me. Sorry if I’m stepping over boundaries, please don’t be afraid to tell if I am crossing lines that make you uncomfortable or anything like that, it’s definitely not my intention

Let me start by saying thank you for being open and sharing your story. It's hard. I've been through DV as well, and it's never easy. I'm so glad that you got our alive and that he got sent to prison for 10 years. Mine got a whole 10 days in jail after his second offense. Thank you Ohio for that. But I made it out alive too, and now have an amazing man in my life. And he lifts me up...which I wouldn't trade for anything in the world. Amazing reaction! I will be watching more! Also, I am an addiction counselor now, and this is one of the hardest things in my career. Having gone through it myself, seeing a person who is trying to get our but can't...it breaks my heart. And I'm not allowed to report it unless they are sorting in my office and ask me to call. That's one of the hardest things I deal with...and one of the scariest. Again, thank you so much for this much needed video. You are the only reactor that spent time talking about DV after the video ended, so I appreciate you for that!

Im 65 your old man. Im from the midwest, and have never heard of, standing on business. I love it. And am glad that you are a survivor ❤️ My parents had 6 children, 5 boys and 1 girl. My mom raised us to never lay hands on a female. And i asked her, what if they hit us first? Her response was that if she hit you first, then she is no longer a female. .I don't know, we just have to thank the Good Lord that we just never had to go through this crap. My sister and her husband moved from Illinois to South Carolina, and i was talking to her on the phone one day, and she said that he went insane because she hid her pain medication for a double hip replacement, and he shoved her hard enough that she bounced to the floor. I asked her if he needed a visit? She said no, he only pushed me, and promised never to do it again. I guess I wasn't supposed to remember the double hip replacement. That was Wednesday, Saturday morning we was knocking on her door at 5am her time. We took a ride, and had a conversation with him. We never laid hands on him, or yelled at him. But he came to conclusion that South Carolina wasn't so far away. And in about 5000 years from now, someone would come across his fossil. And asked him if enough was said. We got a yes from him, took him home and dropped him off and left.

If a woman is physically attacking you, you have EVERY RIGHT to defend yourself from those attacks. It goes both ways and if women want to get physical and expect a man to just take it, she should be shown that that isn't happening. We learned that in Kindergarten. Keep your hands to yourself! @ thank you for your kind words. My mom was killed in 1993 and even after all these years,it’s still painful. Her case was a little different than most as she was dead for six weeks before we were able to get the police to take a report. Her husband kept saying she had gone to visit her friend and would be back soon, then his story started changing and other things came to light, like the 86,000.$ they (his mistress and him)wrote checks for on her account that they spent during a drug fueled trip to the casino at the beach. Soon after that the police went to the house and could smell the decomp and the locks had been changed and padlocked from the outside. When the police contacted me to sign the paperwork for a warrant, they told me he had been picked up. They didn’t find her body in the house as he had come back and moved her body and dumped her remains in the woods near a local freeway. Animals had scavenged her body and they only found 45% of her. What they did find was her skull and the antique cross she always wore. I identified her from the cross and the medical examiner from dental records. Her body had been in my childhood bedroom for six weeks. They stole everything of value from her house and they lived with her dead body for at least three weeks before they couldn’t stand the smell and left. My mom was disabled,4’11” tall and less than 100 pounds and he waited until she was asleep to stab her through the heart. That same night he moved his mistress in. He got 15 years and the girl was never prosecuted for anything. He got out on good behavior and had violated another woman within days.

To add to the other comments... he was not a bad man, he was not an evil man... perhaps he grew up in a house of abuse.... as he knew what had happened to her without asking... he was a man who saw a need, saw an evil and acted on that need and evil. He was a man of faith (evidenced by the court scene bridge (Oh Lord have mercy on me was not asked to the court system... it was a plea to God) and visibly evidenced by the cross hanging on his rear view mirror... was his action legal, obviously not based on the trial, was it morally just.... that is up to each individual for you cannot legislate morality... but for every victim of DV, he would be an answered prayer... and for every man... the story forces the question... "what would I do?" I recently picked up on another aspect of the acting...you can see the transfer of 'weight' from the weight on her as a DV victim... to him, as the reality of what he did sank in looking at the body on the floor... she has her weight lifted as she no longer has to live that life... and the weight of the decision he made settles onto his shoulders, heart and mind.

You should react to "the tale of Jenny and Scratch" by Ren....he encourages people to react to his music so no need to ask first unless you want to but he is very sick and back in the hospital so he might not respond right away also he is from the UK so he has an accent but he has the lyrics in the comments it's very powerful and I would suggest finding the video that has all 3 parts and not do them separately

@@JusticeJunkies1 Hi Ren deals with mental struggles and he preforms it in a way that is very impactful and his acting is absolutely amazing and it gets better as you dive into other things like the tales of Jenny and Screetch and all 3 money games...he is also a rapper and a busker so he has lots of different types of music Incase you find yourself going down the rabbit hole of Ren...thank you for updating me on this I will definitely be waiting to see your reaction

Ted, I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. I cannot even imagine what that would be like. I have a little girl of my own and I cannot even imagine the kind of pain that must have brought into your life. I am praying so hard that God can somehow, someway alleviate that pain for you in any way you need. I was so lucky to have made it out and I know just how potent and dangerous a relationship like that is and just know I am praying for you and your family. No one deserves to lose a child especially in such an awful way and I just know she's looking down on you and she's so damn proud of you. You are always welcome here my friend and if you ever need to reach out, I'm right here 🩷🙏🩷

I'd argue that most men are Hardy. But there are bears out there too. But if you're going straight for "the bear argument" you'll probably never find a Hardy and you should stick to your guns. Saves us all a lot of trouble.
