Hats off to you Lahiru for this wonderful interview 👏 Umara is an amazing very positive, very open hearted mom!! 💯 I agree with all her points. 👌sri lankan women should watch programs like this !!It's very sad to hear about those sri lankan people who look at these kids with a wrong eye. I live in California and have many kids like this in my class. May the Triple gem bless you and your wonderful boy. May he become successful in life!! 💜🙏

Lahiru and Umara,Trust me... The best treatment for autism is Dolphin therapy...I have a twin bodys they are 14 years old now.Them age 3 Both of them diagnosed Autism in Canada....We did many things for them...but...non of them didn't work much. Meanwhile One of My Canadian friend told me about "Dolphin therapy" is good for autistic kids...I did it few times...in US and Mexico. That was the best treatment for my kids..It worked better than anything..them age 9 they started to talk ...now they are too much talking...and not much autastic behavior. Also the best Autism programs in the world in Alberta, Canada. God bless your son!! Get well soon!
I am a sri lankan mother living in the UK and I have an almost 15 year old son with severe non verbal autism. I am very pleased to watch videos like this which educate other people especially those in our community about what our lives as special needs parents are like and how different our worlds are. Our children deserve to be treated with respect, dignity and compassion like anyone else and not be belittled and ridiculed. I can totally relate to what Umaya says.

I’m a teacher from uk and had a chance to work with many of the special need children. It’s so sad to hear that some people have no clue about the condition, so what I can suggest is educate the society. Well done Umaria for everything you are doing for your son x
I am so happy to see this . I am working as an Applied Behavior Therapist in a private school in Boston. USA. You certainly have great courage . I am always willing to help kids with Autism. Its very challenging to work in this position on a daily basis but I do my best to provide support to kids and families here. I hope you can get services in Sri Lanka. I am so happy to hear your confidence and your efforts. Its a great example for other women in Sri Lanka. Stay blessed
