Please suggest - Agar Haryana Govt retired pensioner ne koi private medical insurance policy bhi le rakhi hai or empanelled hospital ka bill uske insured amount se jayad aata hai to kya hum bacha hua baaki amount claim kar sakte hai kya. For example, yadi retired pensioner ne ek private policy ki hui hai 4 Lakh ki or apna accidental treatment uske thru (TPA) karaya hai or total bill 10 Lakh ka aaya to kya hum baaki ke 6 Lakh claim kar sakte hai kya, please advise?

Yes you can claim with original bill of rest of your treatment with information to your office

Original bill will be submitted to TPA , AND TPA will pay to the hospital ,80%of total bill or sum insured which ever is less will be paid to the hospital. U must work out for total bill that is 10 lakhs & deduct actual amount paid by TPA . Remaining amount will be paid by the concerned department.

Husband is not eligible to claim for his wife treatment bcos she is also a retired govt employee she can claim on own bases..and not dependent on her husband
