I'm probably going to pick up one of the active explorers. Not sure if I'll go with the modern or the one with standard HB pickups. But I wanted to say, I'm a fan of the black guitars, generally speaking... BUT: Last year I got the HB Ex-76GHWAN model. The one with wood grain, black guard, gold hardware, and I cannot recommend it enough. First of all, it's absolutely STUNNING to look at, the pics or vids you'll see don't do it justice at all. Second, it plays fantastic, especially for coming in just under $300. I think the pickups in mine are kind of duds, but I'll swap them out eventually and they get the job done for the time being. Anyway, for an affordable Explorer, you really can't beat it. I tried TWO $1200 Epiphone models and they were effin garbage, so for 1/4 the price this thing rocks, definitely worth checking out. I'm also making payments on a Schecter E1-SLS Elite "Evil Twin" model, and sir, let me tell you, that thing is like playing a Lamborghini. So if you find yourself in the market for a higher end explorer model, don't sleep on Schecter. Seriously. That guitar is a mf MONSTER, unlike anything I've ever laid my hands on.

Les 2 guitares sonnent comme une casserole,vqu'en pensez vous ? Je me serais bien acheté la 1ere mais mà je suis decubaxmoins que vous me répondiez qu'il faut changer les cordes et sur quel ampli elles sonnent ? Merci de m'avoir eclairé 😊

It was a line 6 spider 3. It was only recoded with my phone so the audio isn’t a great representation of the guitars sound.

@@bibiri_kun sorry I don’t have any recording equipment but the guitar sounds great. Pay the extra money to have the upgraded EMG active pickups. It’s worth every penny.
