My dream is to have a Harley, a Fatboy, but unfortunately I can't afford it, here in Brazil it costs $20,000 and it's impossible for me, unemployed, doing small jobs and supporting a family. I met a person here in Brazil who received it as a gift from an American businessman, he actually gave the value of the bike and he bought it, I found this attitude a dream, I watch videos about Fatboy every day and dream, today is the best I can go arriving by a Harley Davidson.

Harley is high on the list for my big bike upgrade so keep these new bike videos coming, a great tool to figure out the bike I want. "I need your clothes, your boots and your motorcycle " the coolest scene in any movie, in my opinion. Owning one in the UK, I don't know. I done my test on a Harley Davidson via their rider test site in Builth Wells whilst on leave back in 1990. Great experience turn up do the drill and get your full licence four days later. I bought a 1200 Sportster on the back of that as my first legal bike, then a Softail Deuce... then Buell caught my eye and need for handling, three of them. I still have one. The one thing I found from the H-D bikes was their build quality, I wish I still had the Sportster that bike would ride through the season's and anything! Things like grease nipples on the steering head stem, old school but so practical. Many bikes under my belt now, would I have one, yes. I have gone to the dark side at the moment with BMW K1300S & K1600, feckin great machines. Great post gents👍🏻

Test rode one yesterday, I’m not a Harley fan and I don’t like cruisers, but I’m now hooked! Awesome bike with stunning presence and the way it makes you feel when you’re riding it is indescribable! The biggest downside would be trying to run one in the UK given our crap weather! Not every time you come in from a ride do you want to have to wash and polish your bike if it’s got wet, you’d have no choice with the fat boy, I’m sure it would very quickly show up a lack of tlc with chrome staring to corrode. Owning one would be more than owning a motorcycle, it would be a lifestyle choice!

The mirrors, chrome switch surrounds, domes on the front wheel nuts, seat/sissy bar (passenger seat is separate with the stock - unfortunately not so with the after market); grips and chromed brake pedal. Happy with the free Vivid Black - Had it now 8 months and love it. Had to wrestle with it to begin with - counter steering is helpful - to say the least. Interested to hear you say how comfortable you are as I'm the same height, but feel if I was several inches shorter, it might be more comfortable. RIP Meatloaf.

Great vid as usual gents well done 👏🏻 I think the switch to shiny chrome from the satin is the right move and the grey and black two tone looks superb but I do think UK sales will be hurt this year. Not only from the price increases but the fact that you can’t even fit a set of slip ons to most of the softails now and who knows how long it will take the exhaust manufacturers and tuners to make it possible. Hello gents I realize I am a little late to the party, but I was hoping to get your thoughts on what the FB is like to ride? I am current torn between a Road King Special and a Fat Boy. I took the RKS out for an extended ride and was blown away, but I've only been on a very short ride on the FB to date. I found the handling of the FB took a lot more getting used to. Would you recommend going out for an extended ride on the FB, or sticking with my first love, which is currently the RKS. Thank you chaps.
@MrDarcy-OlMan2 жыл бұрын
They’re both great bikes so that’s a good start! RKS if you do longer tours because it’s stable at speed and has the luggage capacity etc. Fat Boy needs manhandling but that’s it’s charm; like riding a bull. Definitely have a longer testride if you can.

Great review of a stunning looking bike, just a shame about the £20k starting price!

Thanks buddy. They do hold their value pretty well though 👍🏼

Hi, thanks for the great videos. I hope you can test ride a road king standard. I am on my third (2020). I think it's one of the best.

One of my favorite Harley's, not keen on the seats though and it sounds quite nice.
@MrDarcy-OlMan3 жыл бұрын
Luckily theres a lot of different seats to choose from! A bit quiet stock but not too bad 👍🏼

I must admit, the '21 is better looking than my '04. Nice to know when it comes time to move on to a newer Fat Boy. And, 114 as opposed to my 88. Oh boy ! Oh Fat Boy ! Well done !

Please!!! Somebody tell me why the front wheel is offset in the forks??? And why does the bike lean (Not balanced central) ????
@MrDarcy-OlMan3 жыл бұрын
What makes you think that?
@robhoward423 жыл бұрын
Check the front mudguard offset. Why is the wheel offset in the forks?? Have someone ride the bike and follow them. The bike is unbalanced and leans. Then there is the fogging in the Speedo. And the sumping issue. The bike is a dog with fleas.

How do the stands of the softails (Fat Boy specifically) handle side winds? Will it hold without any problems if the wind blows from the right side direction?
@MrDarcy-OlMan3 жыл бұрын
They are very good from that point of view. The bikes are heavy so don’t suffer from that.

@@MrDarcy-OlMan Thanks. Im starting my licence next month, so scoping out for a Fat Boy on the side. Saw one in blue that the Sykes dealership is selling (one you guys get your bikes from). Would be a shame if the stands are not that great and it dropped. Can the stands be replaced to better ones since you did say Harley does make better stands than what they put on the Softtails?
@MrDarcy-OlMan3 жыл бұрын
@@drsparwaga we get our bikes from sycamore Harley, this one was actually a Harley press bike! I’m not aware of an alternative for the side stands. It’s not a huge issue in the grand scheme of things.
@drsparwaga3 жыл бұрын
@@MrDarcy-OlMan Ah yeah, I just remembered ‘Sy’ in the beginning and assumed it was Sykes. Saw some bikes up there too that I am considering in case I do want to keep it at a lower budget. Thanks for the stand replies. I was a bit worried that it might be a letdown because you werent the only one who commented on it.
@MrDarcy-OlMan3 жыл бұрын
@@drsparwaga You do have to be careful putting the Softails on the stand but once they are in place, they are good. The only issue is if the stand foot catches on a crack in the road or a stone etc, it may not fully extend, and then it can tip over

I hv the Fatboy 2020 and it is greatly superb! Accept for the front stock tyre Michelin Scorcher 11 is worn down easily. I hit only 2k miles and it already worn down on the ride side due to my frequent riding route.
@MrDarcy-OlMan3 жыл бұрын
Cool! Yes the stock tyres aren’t that great 👍🏼

Absolutely my favorite Harley..!! I like the turns too much to buy one of these… but I’d like to have the cash to just have several bikes and this would be my open road machine…!!
