I don't care about woke. What I don't like about HD is the business model, which is a separate issue. Premiumization, surcharges, closing mom and pop shops, dealers that are incentivized to rob folks. Some of that has been around before Zeitz, but it's gotten worse in some ways. He's just another modern CEO that uses the latest systems thinking to make the company more profitable. You'd be surprised at the behind the doors look at execs on both sides of the issues. Some, many, aren't all that doctrinaire about being woke or anti-woke, but it appeals to the major demos in some cases and helps with certain things in others. If you don't like Zeitz and what he's doing, write the board of directors. They are the ones that decides who fills that seat. In my mind, most execs are very similar in ways that matter to a company's fortunes and I don't fall within that spectrum. Thankfully.

When I bought my brand new Harley Davidson 1200 Sportster back in 1988, at the age of 24, I noticed even back then that the Dealer at Motex in Bromyard Hereford would turn His back on Us longhaired bearded Sportster and FXR Riders the moment an Electra Glide Rider pulled up! And I paid Cash for my Bike! 4 years later at the age of 28, I took my business to Riders of Bridgwater, and I bought a brand new 1340 Evo Fatboy and was treated totally different! But Yeah Harley Davidson have always catered for the next big thing like They did in the early 2000's when They turned Their backs on the Outlaw Image that They had rode along on for a good while, in favour of the Rich Urban Bikers or "RUBS" The Next Big Thing! But one good thing about the RUBS was that You could pick up a quite reasonable Bike after a couple of years when the RUBS got bored of Their new toy 😂😂😂👍🤘😎🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Sold my Harley Deluxe a few months ago. I had an Ultra before that and a Lowrider before that. I'm 61, and I'm not coming back to Harley. I loved riding them, but I'm moving on to a new brand. Something lighter, softer, quieter and less expensive. I retired from a Silicon Valley Software company and had to go thru lots of BLM DEI training.. The company turned on white middle aged straight men. It was terrible. The country has turned against white straight men. I quit that job and fortunately retired young. So my advice is Harley should fire their CEO, apologize, or people should move to another brand next time they buy a new motorcycle. It's hard to give up your Harley, but they've changed their beliefs and I can't ride a woke bike.

This is all so hypocritical. I own a Harley because I like the ride, I like that I can customize it, I like I can get a manual to work on it. I like how it looks and feels. I dont give a rats ass if a gay, lesbian, transgender, black, brown, or any type of human buys one. That does NOT affect me. And I dont pay attention to those trying to tell me it should affect me. Anyway now that I know this I am writing letters and trying to encourage every dealership I visit start a petition. I am removing all of my Harley-Davidson badges off the bike next month. Another great Video Alf. I simply like my bike (a sport glide). However the bikes are getting too expensive for me and I am likely to hang on to my bike as long as is practical. I don’t buy into the Harley lifestyle and believe they do need to move with the times if they are to have a future. If they keep with their old image lifestyle and customer base they will continue on a path of decline. The problem they have is that the majority of their old customers are ultra conservative and have a fixed view of the world which taints the image of the Brand going forward. Ironically I think HD need to focus more on their bikes and less on an out of date lifestyle and they could become more successful.

I worked for a dealership in Fl in the '70s the MOCO wouldn't allow any merchandise with a skull to be sold. The yuppies and old dudes discovered H-D in the mid '80's ( Refer to RUBs). Buy a Harley and you were an instant biker. They thought they could buy their way into a lifestyle that never really existed anyway. Hell, I wouldn't allow a copy of Easyriders magazine in the house.
