My Roadking 99 had the connector pins that had to be delicately separated and delicately put back together... I had wasted about 4 hours.. But I did get it done.. I was hoping it had the connector like you had where it just snaps apart. Thanks for your information

Another thing if it isn’t the crank sensor,I had the same thing happen with my 03 heritage Softail Classic,heat up and then die,wait a minute and it would fire,after eliminating a lot,I went to the engine cooling sensor,behind the horn and on the back of the first head,just adding in case it isn’t this sensor,Thanks and Ride Safe

Great job... man I sure could sure use help. I just bought a nice 88 FXSTC and It also when it starts and gets to operating temp dies! When you crank it it fires once then just cranks,, crank it again and it fires for a split second but wont start. I bought a cheap coil on ebay and it fired up and I took it for a short ride. Thankfully got back to the house.. went to fire it up 20 min later.. same dang thing. I replaced the CPS inside the cam cover. New ignition switch.. still the same. I have a plug right where you pulled your CPS but it looks a little different, it has two male pins. And the wires run to the voltage regulator right where yours sits. Could this be making my bike do the same yours was? Any help would be appreciated..... thanks man... helpful video.. thanks,, beautiful bike!

My 1999 1450 harley Davidson softtail heritage carb model has engine light comes on half hour or so of riding changed cam sensor but still doing it no other issues

Hey great vid, my carb shoots gas new spark plugs thinking of trying this. My 02 dyna died at a light then made it home. Then had to bump start it to get home. Started up the next day but that's it. Bike will crank till dead battery but won't fire up. You think this is the problem

My Goodness ...you put a lot of faith in the neutral light...I never crank it up without the clutch pulled in..🤔 want to know why?

I have a '02 Electra guide as well with the same problem. Everything I am seeing refers back to the temp sensor so I thought that I would check it out. When I got to where it was supposed to be there was nothing but a plug in the hole. HELP!!

Now find out why its overheating. Fact: air cooled motors need to be clean or they will run 10% hotter than normal. No offense but that motor is far from being clean in my opinion. Good video on the change out.
