Good video but I would recommend not putting Loctite on the drain plugs. I've been servicing bikes for 18 years and have always used some pipe dope on the plugs. I've noticed in the last couple years Harley is using it from the factory.

$20 on amazon and you get a oil funnel, a primary fluid funnel, a filter remover (like the one you have) and most importantly a funnel that redirects oil away from the frame/motor and into your oil pan. It is amazing to not have to clean up a mess!

@@alialsultan1480 You can use 20w-50 in all three holes. I would recommend full synthetic.

Hey brother Tony, hi....i just came across your channel (i have a 2005 fatboy, and i had my crank,camplate and stock oil pump replaced with fueling set up. I do have 37g Andrews gear drive cams, with no head work, just new rings) since the work done, my oil level drop to the end of dipstick, with in like 2 days, if i dont start it up. i know that softail set ups are known for this, but maybe after 5 months i could see that happen, but overnight? i hope to god im not sumping...bike runs strong!! ty in advance if you have an idea...ty so much, loved your vids!!

I have a question. I own a 14’ iron 883 and just serviced it. I used the same oil in the primary as I did the engine. I bought the HD service kit so it was full synthetic HD oil. 25w-50 I believe it was. 3 quarts in the tank and 1 quart in the primary. Was this OK to do?

I wanted to loctite my bolts as well and at the time I mentally couldn’t stop thinking of........what if the loctite added to the bolt when you screw it back in the loctite then mixes in with the fluid inside? I’m assuming the threads don’t reach that far in? Idk haha just a mental thing maybe

A drop of loctite on the treads in my opinion isn’t going to effect the fluids at all. Makes me feel better knowing that it isn’t going to work it way loose on me.

Hey Tony ! What brand scissor jack are you using ? Was thinking of the harbor freight jack but know thinking about a simple scissor jack that doesn’t take up space when storing.
