I loved my street bob. The build i did was fun and so was the bike. Traded it in for the 22 Electra glide to ride 2 up more comfortable. Deff miss the street bob power to weight ratio tho. Congratulations on the softail standard! Just adding a stage 2 kit will make the bike come alive! Looking forward to the build.

I have a ‘21 Street Bob and I use the Memphis Shades Road Warrior fairing with a black wind screen. The only downside is that it seems every other Street Bob/Softail standard is running one of these.

What makes this bike cheaper than other softail are mostly parts people are going to change anyway. Makes it a perfect starting point!! Got some good stuff on the way!!

Yeah I didn't hate the red but the pegs and shifter/brake tip had become 3 different colors of red. Should have all of that back from powder this week. New risers are on and bars will be this week. Also switched up some things with lighting and the fairing. Got some bags for it too.

Risers and bar you can go with Original Garage, Thrashin Supply, Bung King, etc. There are a ton of options there. I put Original Garage 8.5” risers with an ODI bar on my bike. As far as the fairing goes, I like the Ventura fairing, or even the Memphis Shades Road Warrior. I have Performance Machine grips on my bike and I refuse to run anything else ever again. This should be a fun build. Thanks for sharing.

Thats one thing that is VERY hard to find. I want a lay flat but there are no holes in the fender.

I've got the same bike I bought from Harley-Davidson of Pensacola in 2020 I've added a few things to mind I wanted it to stay kind of old school but you definitely got to change out that seat I'll try to send you pictures of what I've got but the bike will not disappoint

Leave it the way it is do some motor work and throw some thrashing riser and bars on it. So clean. ODI or Builtwell new grips. A 5gal Fuel Tank. It needs a RWD Fairing and Shocks. Custom Dynamic LED Lights.

Not sure of the budget but if it were mine I would completely black the whole bike out, including getting rid of the seat, and do a Stage IV. Mag wheels would look awesome. Upgrade the suspension and brakes to handle the increased power. A 131" would be cool but I kind of agree that a lot of those builds are not very rideable. Super cool concept and I'm excited to follow along with the build.

Congratulations on your new ride. I think, if that bike is mine, I will keep that decent looking seat and that exhaust system, very similar to Two Brothers exhaust system in my opinion. Love your bike man, apart from that awful red coloured after market parts and that bmx handlebar.

Congrats man! If you're going to change the seat, I think bumping up to the Le Pera seat would be awesome. Maybe the Kick Flip or even a Bare Bones.

I second the La Pera. That’s what I use. I think it’s more comfortable than the Saddlemen.

For handling I'm keeping things as true to stock size as I can. 19 front and 16 rear but both wheels are .5 inch wider.

Personally, I’m not a fan of the red pegs or the plug wires. However I do like the stitching on the seat unless you’re going to go with a different color scheme altogether

I do have another color in mind but the red MIGHT still work on the seat I'll have to save that for last and see how it looks. Luckily I can get decent money for that seat and put it towards the new one. If I do away with the red pegs do you think the red wires will look bad alone?

on my 2020 Standard, I put the 2022 Mag rims on, ordered 2 inch tank rise, 16 inch sissy bar, 12 inch high handle bars, and rear passenger/sliders all from Dean Speed Customs(all parts gloss black. VH big shots for the exhaust, stage 1 and tuned, Saddleman knuckle remegade seat. took off all reflectors, for the intro price of the Standard, was able to build my dream bike...u should ckeck out Dean Speed Customs, high quality parts without high quality prices.

So I took the bike to Daytona with this seat and noticed the gel leaking from the stitching. I have sent in a warranty form to see if they will send me a new one. I'm not the original owner so we will see. If they do send a new one I'll probably sell it since I already have a new saddlemen on it. They said 2 weeks so just hit me back up after Christmas and we will see what the word is!

The grips and pegs have to go. The red does not work although the seat could stay as the only part with red. The air cleaner needs to go also.

Pegs are off and grips are ordered… along with a few other things. I haven’t picked an air cleaner yet but definitely will by the time I do the cam.

An excellent choice on the bike to build. The softail standard is a great blank canvas to work from. I’m no fan of anything spiked on a bike. The potential of those spikes eating into you in a lay down is great. I’m out Bro.
