Ride this bike last summer one afternoon down Benidorm mountains. Great bike together with the coastline. I'm short so felt relaxed and comfy bike shifts well off the lights City. May even get a Second hand one soon. Always custom stuff you can do future really like a cafe racer. And it's a Harley and you just feel everyone likes em when you park up many hellos.

Great review! I'm an older beginner rider and see the street as a great way to enter into the Harley family! Which would you recommend the 500 or the 750? Thanks

for few dollars more you will get a sportster.a bigger,stronger and much much better bike.the steet 500 and 750 are a piece of junk.trust me.

theGman454 I would choose the 750 because it has more HP but still weighs the same as the 500

but the sportster isn't liquid cooled? City riding, stop and go traffic, that engine is going to get hot.

What makes the XG's "Junk" your opinion?

me too

After researching 750s I decided on the XG750 because of all the bikes in its class only Ducati has more HP and the price is great.

"It's a bit like sitting on a low toilet." Ouch! I get the impression from various reviews that people think this is a merely adequate bike, but the critics won't come right out and say it for fear of offending Harley fans. It seems like it doesn't do anything poorly, but doesn't excel at anything either.

I think any Japanese 750 would be a better choice....The Harley looks really cheap! (especially the front fork boots!) Maybe its just me!

Very Bad Engine and cranking quality and design (Many of HOG commented) . Router and starter gears and Clutch Quality are not good .... the engine crank Casing is a failed Design.... I got a serious problem on 1200 KM run, The Motorcycle still brand new Street 750 2015 Model but not operating ... I went to the dealer where the warranty already finished 4 months back, They gave the attached report and said I have to change everything - Report saying: ((( -Bike not start -Bike cutoff in middle of the road - service of 1600 KM *Bike final report 1- Engine Crankcase is broken, 2- Starter motor is broken 3-Router is damaged ))) Harley Davidson Dealer workshop - Kuwait And the dealer workshop said - I have to change the full set - Engine and Gearbox) No Maintenance price is offered. I am 1 year rider and I never loaded the bike ... The bike traveled only 1200 KM, At HD workshop I saw 3 Motorcycles of Same model with the same and different problems. No proper feedback from HD hiding from the street 750 owners the problems of the 2015/2016 models. No feedback no proper maintenance but offering new bike of another model (2017/2018 - not within the budget) They can compensate 1500 USD only if you choose another bike at a price of 17,000$ as minimum which will be the down payment of your next new bike only from the same dealer. I Like HD but I got a hard stress for the first bike I used. I will take sometime to make my decision so I will choose the correct HD model which will fit my requirement but not from the dealer I suggest HD to compensate all the owners of Street 750 who have the same issues and defaults ... Actually I lost about 3700 USD on this bike and it is parking beside th building waiting someone to buy it for spare parts or scrap. Thanks for all here and for your support.

You do not wat to look at Harley-Davidson Street 750 from the back. It looks like Korean scooter.

The Vulcan is a much better choice!
@Vandragorax8 жыл бұрын
+Dan Meredith Except that the Vulcan S still uses a chain... quite why anyone would want a chain on a road cruiser in 2016 I don't know. I do like the Vulcan S, but I'm probably going to be getting a Street 750 this year simply because it is belt driven instead. (Though I'm in two minds about waiting until next year and hoping they release a version with ABS too).

cause chains have significantly less force disappearing than belts, quite simply actually
@Vandragorax8 жыл бұрын
Mutsu Kazuma It's not "significantly" less, it's a bit less. Enough to be of significance in, say, a GP race, but not enough to be of significance for road riding.
@MutsuKazuma8 жыл бұрын
James Kaplonek 7% on chains vs up to 28% on belts is quite siginificant in every scenario
