Just the thought of trying to keep all that lovely black paintwork clean in a British winter sends shivers down my spine!

What a beast of a bike! Too much of a bike for me I think....and for that price you could pretty much buy every model in the Royal Enfield range!!! 😄

😂 very true! 30k 😳 crazy. It is very impressive though and feels really premium.

This is not my kind of bike but I test rode one six months ago out of curiosity and I loved it. It doesn’t feel heavy when you are moving and it is tremendous fun to throw around on the road. It has all mod cons…Apple Car Play, cruise, satnav, sound system, bags, good tank range and comfort. It’s just a beast of a bike but still practical. I have always had high end sports bikes, super nakeds and cafe racers but this bike really got under my skin when I test rode it so I bought one. I still own Ducati, Aprilia, KTM and Triumph and would have trouble cutting any of them out of the collection but I think the Street Glide is also now a permanent fixture in the garage. I had negative preconceptions about the so called touring chassis bikes in particular but it’s a blast to ride and absolutely no slouch. The ST with the 117 does seem to come alive at higher revs though vs the standards and specials. Once I realised that I really started to have fun.

Great to hear you have added one to the collection 👍 I always find these style bikes a real event to ride, and great fun! Yes I was really surprised with the handling for such a big bike. What a beast

Another great review... I'm loving you're channel. Mixed views on this bike. It's undoubtedly an impressive looking thing, but for money I could probably get a Speedmaster... and a decent tourer. I often feel that Harley's get a lot of allowances made for them during reviews, and they're often only really compared to other Harley's (which haven't always had the best reputation). Descriptions are often made with the follow-up phrase "for a Harley" (the clutch is light for a Harley or the build quality is good for a Harley). I test rode a Street Bob recently, and the salesmen said, of the build quality, that it was much better than Harley's of old. So it may have been, but it still wasn't anywhere near that of Japanese or European bikes. As for people trying to look "badass" on them... let's be honest, the majority of people who spend nearly £30k on one of these are nore likely to be city investment bankers, looking for something to spend their bonuses on!
@redangrevival Жыл бұрын
Thanks so much I appreciate that and great to hear you are enjoying the channel 👍 Yes for 30K it really is a rich persons toy! Haha absolutely you don't get many genuine "badass" riders on new Harleys these days. I completely agree, it is strange how Harley has somehow managed to make a segment all of its own that people only compare to other Harleys.

Love a Harley, love a bike I can easily flat foot, love a bike I can listen me some Lynyrd Skynyrd, Lenny Kravitz and Jimi Hendrix while I am cruising. Would love a spare £30,000 and a heated garage 😂 These bikes are designed for heavy Americans and wide, mostly straight American roads, so it was interesting that you found it agile enough. And that's why they put their bikes away for winter. Yes please review the Roadglide as most of the Americans I know seem to prefer them.😊
@redangrevival Жыл бұрын
It is a great fun bike, but 30k! A lot of money for something you use only in the summer. Very cool though 😎 Yes I prefer the looks of the RoadGlide as well. Will try and get a ride on one

Good review 👍 The side stand has a lock....once down it wont be able to lurch forward. Next time....try it, tis very good. As said by others not cheap but, then hd's never have been. If you ever get the chance try a Roadking special....much lighter front end, with no weight up over front with fairing and all internal's. Can tour easily, and imo more fun to be had on fast b roads. Versatile too the king, screen can be added or taken off in 20 secs. Safe rides mate 🏁🍻🤙

Thanks so much Kevin I appreciate it 👍 Ah now that makes sense, good feature! I was getting a bit worried about the stand. I would love to try the RoadKing Special, I think I prefer the looks of it as well. Sounds like a winner. Cheers and the same to you

@@redangrevival 👍 Have had mine about 4 years.....and that's a very long time for me lol It's the versatility of it, that is the overall game topper. In the past have had cvo streetglide, ultra's etc but not so much fun to own and can feel much like taking a sledgehammer to crack a nut, if it's only a very local journey. The Rks doesn't, so gets used much more.

And again… if I feel like hiding behind a dashboard of that size I take my Miata for s spin! 😂 I need to test ride one of these engines in the future but in a more nakedy model. That would be a Fat Boy or a Fat Bob? Perhaps a Heritage Classic but without the screen then. Great video again! Cheers, Lupo

😂 well said! I do recommend giving one a try some time, it is a real event and great fun. I would try the Low Rider S, with the 117 engine 👌

Some may say I’m crazy but the flowing lines remind me of a 1955 Jaguar XK140. I’d like to ride one, but it wouldn’t be my choice if I could only have one motorcycle. But I would definitely love to have one if I was a collector. The cost is a bit excessive. Personally I love the looks.

haha I suppose if I squint I can just get that! Beautiful car 👌 Yes I agree, I wouldn't want it for my only bike. Way too much hassle cleaning etc... Very cool though and great fun

Even if I could afford one, a Street Glide would be like a fish out of water on the kind of roads we have where I live, narrow, twisting country lanes. But if there were only two motorcycles in the world to choose from, Street or Road Glide, it would definitely be Street. That Road Glide fairing is really hideous!
@redangrevival Жыл бұрын
It is a bit unfortunate how expensive they are 😳 However it did feel like another level of premium over other Harley bikes. I actually don't mind the RoadGlide, would like to get a ride on one
