Harley Davidson Touring EXHAUST

Harley Davidson Touring Exhaust is necessary to make that bike sound like a Harley! In this video, I'm throwing out some tips to make it look like a pro installed those aftermarket mufflers. Not only does this video include the install for a harley bagger exhaust install, but I've also got sound clips from a set of Rinehart 4" mufflers, Vance and Hines 450 mufflers, and a set of Cobra neighbor haters.

I put the Cobra Neighbor Haters on my Indian Challenger. I had the Cobra Scallop slip on's last year. These are a bit louder, but a noticeable deeper throaty tone. What I like about the neighbor haters is that they are not mid life crisis I am compensating for something loud. For me these are perfect.

John. After a lot of searching I decided to go with the screamin eagle performance pipes, mufflers and high flow air cleaner (stage I). I bought the pro street tuner to pull it all together. So far I am happy with the looks and sound. I am planning on upgrading to a stage IV next fall.

Love your channel John, learning all the Harley maintenance info to keep my roadking in top shape. I just picked up my first harley after years of honda/suzuki. 2008 CVO screaming eagle roadking and i love it! Has supertrapp mufflers/ maybe system too, not sure, on it and they sound good,look good, but do not have the deep rumble, and also whoever installed them left all the clamps showing, muffler and heat shield clamps! Had the bike 2 hours and i was on my ass indexing the clamps so nothing was showing. Great videos man thankyou! Ride safe!

I have had Reinhart's and Vance and Hines before. On my 2015 Limited I went with Vance and Hines 450's. Sounds great. But I also put 2 Brothers Headers and Screaming Eagle Ventilator Elite air cleaner.

I love my thunder cones from Thunderheader. They’re awesome. My 15 Roadglide has the Yaffe true duals. Love the low tones. I wasn’t looking for something that loud because of the audio on the bike. The roadking with the thunder cones with Klock werks true dual headers is obnoxiously loud. 😎👍🏻

Just ordered a set of Cobra 6106 4" slip-ons for my 07 FLH to replace the aging Screamin Eagles, should be here before the end of the month. Of course that doesn't mean I'll actually be riding it, winter sucks ! Ride safe.

mufflers are merely or looks without a head pipe, rineharts 4" are my favorite looking mufflers, but the CFR are the best sounding, especially on there M8

Bought a 2012 Roadking a few months back....it already had V&H twin slash rounds on it with the stock head pipe. Installed a Cobra headpipe on it and V&H fuelpak....I like it and it runs good. Still trying to get the decel pop dialed out of it without going the dyno-tune (for now) route... think it's a good setup with some good thump

I had Vance and Hines twin slash on my 2005 RK Classic I now have Rinehart 4” chrome with chrome caps on my 2014 Road King. Hard to say which I like better, but if the bike hadn’t come with Rineharts I may have went back to Vance and Hines, always been a fan.

I was under the impression that HDs SE mufflers and a lot Rineharts are 50 state legal. I think RC components may have also done some EPA reg stuff for the M8. I might be mistaken, though. I’m a loooong way from Cali, so I just kind of know...

I like the Reinhart Four Inch. I have them on my 2016 RoadKing with 2-1-2 headers. Loud, but not obnoxious.Great sound going down the highway.

I have a 2016 Street Glide Special and I will say took off the Bassoni's I had on and added the CFR's best thing I could have done. Even gave me few more HP from what i feel. Be nice to see the video my friend.

If you want a good sounding exhaust ditch the whole stock exhaust! Slipons will get you a different sound but that’s about it. Go get a D&D Billet Cat or a Thunderheader. You won’t be disappointed! The best sound in my opinion and a true performance exhaust.

I just took off my VH's and replaced them with full dual all chrome 3" Rineharts on my 2007 Street Glide. I like the sound better than the 4".

Thinking about going with either Screaming Eagle or Rhinehart on my 18 Street Glide. Not sure yet. Just going to do slip ons.. Not going to go with headpipe.. leaning towards the Screaming Eagle...I honestly love the factory sound.. I know it’s quiet but that new Milwaukee 8 mill sounds good no matter what to me... Ohh..... And it runs great... Very happy with it

John I like them all but I think the Reinhearts sound the best, but them Vance and Hines are good also. But if I ever get around to replacing my stock exhaust on my 2016 Limited I’am going to go with the Reinhearts with the header pipe and a Vance and Hines Fuel Pak-3 and upgrade my air filter. You should have included the best sounding (imo) slip on mufflers which you have in your parts dept. RC Components. Or RCX. the 4" is louder and the 45's which is the 4.5" is deeper. Awesome exhaust, that you stock!

I liked the Vance and Hines 450’s, they have a better throaty sound and seem louder. On my bike, I went with the Cobra 909’s for now but will eventually go with the Vance and Hines Eliminators or Destroyers. I have a 115 Anniversary Street Glide Special.

Man I just love your videos. I have heard that the catalyst are inside the pipes and the slip ons wouldn´t help getting that signature sound. I guess it´s not for all Harleys then? I guess it is in the Fat bob which makes sense.

Recently picked up a zero miles 2016 CVO limited (almost zero miles actual was 35 miles, picked it up April 2018 and now October it has almost 7,500 miles) looking at changing to a set of RH's 4.5" I believe is the size. Wondering what is the height of the bars on that last bike with M8. That's exactly the fit I am looking for.

My favorite sound comes out of a D & D 2 into 1 fatcat with a straight baffle. Sorta tinny and poppy on the decel, but nice

It's all taste on exhaust. I go with a blended approach; my bike is a touring bike and it doesn't need to deafen me on a 700+ mile ride, but needs to be audible above the stock level. That being said I listened to the Screaming Eagle in person, the V&H, the Cobras, and the Rhineharts were already on my bike at purchase. There are a few others out there comparable, as well. Rhineharts were the balance for me, but on my prior muscle cruiser it was V&H and head pipe combo that was perfect. I'm keeping stock head pipe since I intend very lengthy ride time and want my situational awareness about me as far as the touring goes...but she'll sound off when I give it the BRRRAAAAPP! It's not obnoxious, but it's not my style. The SE set was way to mild... just above stock. The V&H likely would be a close second because I love their sound; I always have. The Cobra NHs would be too much for an extended ride unless you're already hearing impaired, I'd guess. Just my figure. Best advice is to sample around and go hear what you think will be right IN PERSON if possible. 😉

Basically the after market just opens up the exhaust further what really changes the sound is the baffle design. Get a DB meter or download an app on your cell phone and check the level before and afterwards.
