I don´t like digital comics for a couple of reasons: 1. I find them hard to read. 2. They cost the same (if not almost the same) as a physical comic. So, if I´m not going to get something physical and you´re saving costs of printing and distribution...Why am I supposed to pay full price?

I really like having a book I can hold and focus on and get lost in. Digital releases are fine but they feel impermanent, I'm not really willing to pay for them like I am a trade, and I think the idea of seeing digital media as 'the future' is a bit of an old fashioned way to look at images on a screen.

i'm a fan of both. my personal creative model for all of my creator owned stuff is digital webcomic first and then later in print the way i see it it's the best of both worlds and also removes any false advertising. people get to read before they buy the printed. i've enjoyed it immensely. sure it's not the same format as the one we have here but there is a sense of convenience to both that i truly appreciate.

All the best for your upcoming delivery! I had no idea that you're Canadian! I currently live in Toon town and that's how I discovered Rossmo. Since then I've been a massive fan. I even loved this issue. The only one I picked up from this run. I like digital just fine. I prefer floppies though as that's the collector in me. I also have a very hard time paying the same price for a digital rental as I would for physical. That said, I will pick up older stories on a sale through digital. All the best!

The only drawback to digital comics is that you can't roll them up to swat away the flies that are trying to land on your ice cream cone while you;'re reading the latest issue. Also, if your due date is in 3 days, what exactly are you due for? Change? Chocolate ice cream? More comics? An adjustment in your superpowers? :) Seriously- congrats and good luck Sasha.

I disagree completely! This was one of my favorites! It was cute, realistic of how Harley would tell a story, and a nice escape from the real world, even for a moment. And her “partner...” who was it? Was it Ivy, or Elastic Man, or somebody else. It definitely made me wonder... 🤔

First, happy spawning! Hope all goes well! If you remember (and it hasn't happened yet) Do you best Gollum impression when they hand the baby to you and go "My precioussss!" (I'm not a LoTR fan, but I think every mother should do that this year.) I love digital comics, mainly because getting them is easier, and storing them requires no shelf space. I've never really enjoyed buying individual issues - they always felt like I wasn't getting a good deal for the money being charged. This was not helped by the fact that my mom's old comics all seemed to have twice the page count as the ones could go buy. The other thing is that I read too fast and get really, annoyed having to wait for the next issue. This only happens to me with comics. I'm fine with weekly episodes of TV or YT videos (not Casually Comics, I need that at least 3 times a week). Trade Paperbacks are great, but I reserve them for special titles I want a physical copy of. But I buy most of them digitally because I can read them on nearly any device I have anywhere, anytime. TV? yes, laptop, yes? Tablet, Heck yeah! PC? Gotcha covered. As for the future, I think individual issues may have to go all digital to keep existing. Shaky distribution will just make Trades, omnibuses and the like command a higher price and can be had in Hardcover format, which will attract buyers. What I would like to see is electronic copies of comics, magazines and books being permanent once you pay for them so it's a true purchase, not a lease or long term rental. I've never had titles revoked, and I backup my files to cover that possibility, but the fact that it can happen is unacceptable. Also, I'm old enough to be aware of just how awesome it is to be able to carry hundreds of books and comics and thousands of hours of music I can read and listen to even if I have no service in my pocket.

He had digital files/contingency plan on all members of the justice league, so like Bruce i love a good backup to get my goods, digital, physical or read my friends books when we get together "#GrownUpBookClub" 🤣😂

I like digital comics because I like webcomics format but the sites tend to be clunky and a lot of them deteriorate in quality or start having questionable plot lines and with mainstream comics you can usually just drop that comic and pick up another one with the same character. Also congratulations in advance for the baby. I’m the type of oblivious that I don’t notice people are pregnant until after they’ve had the child.

I find it difficult to put digital comics on my shelf and display them. At least with floppies, I can put them in a thin box with a label on it and place it on my shelf like trades. Maybe, if I learn that I can download the digital copies and read them offline forever, never losing them (unless the storage medium goes bad), I might feel different. But everything I keep hearing is that you need to go to the websites, you don't own the books, and if the sites choose to no longer host that issue or you stop paying a subscription, you can't get those books back. And then there's that same problem I had with VHS to DVD to Blue Ray. I own the movie copy, but I can't get credit to upgrade to the new format, so I have an unusable version. Well, while paper copies are always usable, in digital, what happens if the programs that read and display the books become obsolete and Windows 25 can't read what was made for Windows 10? I'm already starting to get this with my Windows Vista and on my Mac not being able to display new stuff and the new computers not recognizing perfectly good media from the old computers. Heck, I'd love to save space on my shelves bu having a memory stick full of a thousand or more issues. It might slightly throw off my displays and I might have to print boxes to hold them with labels... that's a minor worry. I know, if I want a physical copy of a digital one, then I can always use the file to print one at "Kinko's" (if they still exist). The book will need to be worth $10 to $15 each for a color copy 5.5 inches by 4.25 inches (today's prices) or prices better drop drastically.

When it comes to regular books, I’m 100% physical 100% of the time (particularly paperbacks, I love the smell). When it comes to comics, digital only. No folds in the pages obscuring word bubbles or artwork.

By the way, where are your star trek graphic novel books? I would love to see a vid on your favorite next generation graphic novel. I really do prefer physical comics (to answer the question in the beginning of the video), because after reading them I can put them on a shelf as a collection of sorts, it just feels good to have, I do also do the same to vinyls, so I guess It's just something I like to do in general. But I do realize that the future of comics is digital

You talk with an a middle American accent that was popularized by radio, TV, and movies due to the fact that it's easy to understand across the United States. If you can find videos from the 50s - 60s I'm pretty sure your accent is different from that on the CBC. The "Minnesota" accent you are referring to regional accent spanning Wisconsin, the upper peninsula of Michigan, Minnesota and the Dakotas. The accent has heavy influence from the German and Scandinavia colonists who had a heavy influence on the region. Generally you can still find it among older people and some segments of the rural population.

I feel weird about digital comics. Most comics I read now are digital via the Marvel unlimited app which is unlimited access to Marvels complete history for 60 dollars a year (comics released 6 months after their publish date) but then using that I'm not actually 'purchasing' a comic its more like a subscription streaming service like Netflic. If I was paying for new individual comics I'd be much more hesitant because most people STILL don't understand you just gave money over to DC or whoever for nothing except the ability to read a comic until they say "nah, we're shutting down our app". You payed 99c or whatever to read Harleen. You DO NOT own it. If DC suspended your account tomorrow you'll lose access to it and won't get the money back. The same problem exists for all digital media.
