Once again I will add a little bit of constructive criticism. I've been watching you guys were around a year-and-a-half no. Actually the only KZbin videos I watch and I believe I've watched every single video and podcast!! With that said I got a saying I can see how you guys are trying to move forward and build something great, which I think you guys are actually doing an amazing job! I'm more feel like I am the father and you guys are the children because I continue to watch you guys grow each episode into something greater and something bigger. But my whole reason for commenting was to say ...spite please at least act like you know when you're talkin about!!!!! Thingamajig... And harley is different because "reasons"!!!!! really!!!!

When I receive everything and when I have all the parts in front of me I will come back to this comment and share my sh*t show with the world.

Did the Hammer 1275 conversion on my ‘94 xl about 3 years ago. It was a vanilla job, pretty much the jugs, pistons, snd ignition module only. The only issues i had were getting the carb jetted right, and the extra heat from running a higher compression motor. She’s certainly fast though. But i went a step further and added a ‘03 Vrod to the garage... even faster, & liquid cooled.

Over the decades, customizing your bike has become a huge part of Harley's sales pitch. Also being that Sportster's are the cheapest entry to a Harley, Spending 3k on a used 883 and then another 3k-ish on parts to surpass the performance of a stock XL1200 or even some of the newer 100+ci engines(stock ones mind you), is not really a bad route to go. Oh and pretty much all that work can be done in any driveway with some hand tools and basic engine knowledge. Not something the cheaper more powerful import bikes even offer. Plus with imports you either get a 12k rpm sport bike motor or a weak ass V-Twin you can't upgrade at all. Unless you find a solid deal on a big ass Vulkan or skip over a big Vtwin for a Goldwing. Just talking in the used market here, good luck finding any running riding 100hp Harley cruiser for under 6k. Vrod comes the closest and thats not a cruiser.

@alexfasciolo27154 жыл бұрын
It’s cheaper than buying a 1200 and doing the same thing. Putting an aftermarket 1275 on an 883 gets you more power than a stock 1200, so if you want that power, buy the smaller bike and then get the bigger kit. Some people also like projects.
@jasongraham34884 жыл бұрын
The 883 has a different gear ratio than the 1200 and even with a bolt on screeching seagull 1200 kit (meaning not as cool or fast as a hammer kit) a 1200 kitted 883 will smoke a factory 1200 off the line. @@caseyjones6316 ohh yeah, the only problem then is attaching it to the conrod. if the engine is out of the bike and disassembled. then I guess that helps but in this instance, they didn't need to have the jugs there. at the bench put rings, and first clip. then take over to the bike and attach to the con rod. by putting the lubed pin through and the final circlip. check its free to move no binding then get the cylinder/jug and put it into that :) Baby laughing while getting shotsBaby laughing while getting shots
