Love your 48 I have the same one and putting a lot of stuff on it I’m currently putting a black bird legacy 3.5 gallon tank on mine. I already put 6 inch z bars with two inch risers and red vans grips, exhaust air cleaner and tune, and Vikings fairing.

How did the lift effect the mpg?

Not much, I still get good milage. But with the tank lifted, it does create a small gap where I can't fill it completely full. However, I top off my tank and I feel like it's fine. I'll try to make a video about coming up lol 🤙

No issues. My fuel line is pretty long. Try untangling it, maybe it's caught on something.
