Josh, you beat Matt by 2 hours!! I'm a fit and finish guy myself. Love those Rock Sliders for that reason. I still can't afford an SCX10 II Honcho YET, but I had thought about that waterproof RX Box, and how to repurpose it for a little while. You SOLVED that mental dilemma! Thanks!! 👍👍 Carmine 🚂

Just put these sliders on my SCX10-2 Deadbolt. I noticed in your video that you attached the links higher up than stock. Do you recommend doing this? What are your thoughts after running the truck with the links in that set up VS stock location. Also, just a quick note, I saw that you zip tied your wires from the speed control underneath the battery tray. I ran the wire from the speed control through the spacers in the battery tray so that it would not come in contact with the driveshaft. It runs under the battery tray, then over the top (where your zip tie is connected) and then back down through the next spacer.

What dimensions are the Scalerfab slider/skid plates you used? I am a little confused by the options on their site and your link is taking me to a different style. Love the fit on yours and want to make sure I get the right ones. Thanks.

Sweet install on the rock sliders they look perfect for this rig and my question is will I be able to install the first style axle housing from the Scx10 ii into the Honcho? I know it’s a different setup and doesn’t require knuckles but would it be an easy change from these axles?
@HarleyDesignsInc6 жыл бұрын
Yeah nothing would be different, you’d just need a housing and C-hubs.

Hey can anyone help me out with a question I have about ESC's? I am trying to run my 18v lithium ion drill battery which is connecting to the parts inside a drill. Now I have it soldered onto my esc and I get insane throttle and control but I can't seem to get my steering to be strong. Once I turn my esc beeps and resets. I disconnected the steering servo and I was able to drag test perfectly fine. Do I need a huge BEC or upgrade to a more capable ESC? Also please be warned I'd say don't do this it's probably seriously dangerous. I already blew an esc while trying to wire my led bar when positive and negative touched. Vids on my channel to show
@TheChefford6 жыл бұрын
marioo marsupial you probably Need an external bec at higher voltages the weak internal one has to work really hard to step down the voltage and you en up getting receiver brown out causing the beeping
@Legoman5856 жыл бұрын
You definitely need an external BEC to run your servo. Even though you are putting 18v to the ESC the built in BEC is still trying to limit the amount of voltage going to your servo to about 6V depending on the ESC. With an external BEC you are able to adjust how much voltage it sends to your servo.

marioo marsupial thanks but I’m looking for the body and the rear bed with the roll cage and diamond plate on it
@mikes0626 жыл бұрын
I'm not finding one that's a direct take off from a stock rtr but this is a full brand new setup for the first scx10 honcho, so it's capable of holding a tire in the rear. m.ebay.com/itm/Axial-AX4025-Trail-Honcho-Clear-Body-w-Rear-Cage-AX10-SCX10/382254832762?epid=1801764935&hash=item590029dc7a:g:67IAAOSwGUBZ5395
@CasperRc816 жыл бұрын
Idk man, this new run of axials seems like there less tech involved. Your deadbolt had more fab in it also the wroncho and wraith seemed like there is more trick parts along with the deadbolt. My scx10ii I love it’s operation but it’s to much. I miss buying a first gen scx and moding it from front to back. Taking a ok performer to a crazy performer. Axial seems to becoming more commercialized and less engineering changes at home like traxxas. I like both just miss the old videos. Also seemed like more home built garage mods were done on the scx instead of the big box companies making bolt ons.

I cant help but notice that the link you left for the sliders is not the same slider. You list them in the budget report at 38 bucks, but thats WITHOUT the skids. The sliders you have in this video are 50 bucks. Great series. Keep it up.

No, the double bar is 50, these are 25 without the skid and 37 with the skid.
