I also use fasteddy bearings in my 2wd slash now. Their with the money and upgrade. I had a traxxas bearing explode where you bolt the drive shafts and trashed my gears in trans case. Thanks, for another awesome vid!!!

Great videos first off, I just got back into RC maybe like almost 2 years ago, the scale stuff really got me hooked again. Built a scx10ii just got the rtr electronics and found myself wanting something a little more extreme so I built a bomber. Stock kit and I threw a mamba X with a holmes puller pro xl 3500kv holmes servo ready to rock n roll. But the first 3 times I took it out just to test I broke the steering horn stripped it immediately then threw the right rear tire clean off the stock beadlock...I came back to your bomber upgrade series I watched parts of 2 years ago and next thing you know I watched the whole playlist in 1 sitting. I had to order up a bunch of vanquish parts, very excited. Just figured I would throw my 2 cents in also, great work my friend, If I ever make it all the way out to axailfest (WI native) hope I run into you. In a way you are part of me returning to the hobby along with Matt from SBG and guys like Coleman. Keep up the good work!

Thanks Mike, I appreciate the comment. Hope you enjoy the Bomber as well, it is a beast of a truck!

So how did you like the setup, you never said how it performed and if you would change it back to the stock setup? Thanks for all the vids, very good, lve watching all the episods and am just re-building mine with all your parts you suggested!

I know earlier in this video you said it's one of axials easiest rig to work on so hopefully if I do purchase one I will be able to say the same thing. I watched you do an overview on the trx4 and that one does look like it will be a challenge to work on. You made the bomber more appealing to me.

+Souledout RC the bomber was definitely much easier to service. The Bomber is also a very different car compared to the scale TRX4. If I could only have one of them, the Bomber would be my choice.

Think you can do a driving tips video on the bomber. I have done almost all the same upgrades from this video on my bomber and I'm having a bit of a hard time keeping it on all 4 wheels now that I got my brushless motor installed. Maybe its just me and not having a lot of time with locked axles rcs. Love the builds and have fun at Axial fest maybe one day ill get there.

How does the underdrive gears in the rear with the standard gears in the front work for you when u4 racing? Is it noticeable?

Hey I'm looking to buy the bomber but I'd like more speed, but I don't have the money for the motor you put in. Is there a cheaper option. Thanks

Adding the lower gears in the rear was there a specific reason in not going with over drive in the front and stock in the back??
@HarleyDesignsInc8 жыл бұрын
+Travis Merrix I'd always rather run more reduction in the axles as it takes stress off the driveshafts and transmission.

+Harley Designs ok thanks for the reply you channel is great I have learned a lot from watching... Your budget builds are killer keep them coming can't wait to see what you do next

Hey josh! Does the Currie yeti sway bar work on the bomber?
@HarleyDesignsInc8 жыл бұрын
+The RC Expeditions it does work, but could use shorter end links so I haven't added it as a Bomber specific part.

I have a axial yeti built from a kit and I upgraded both diff's and the spur & pinion gears for more speed , do you think the stock transmission & transfere case gears should be upgraded too hardened steel or is stock ok ?

Wouldn't it get drivetrain windup?
@HarleyDesignsInc8 жыл бұрын
+Scott RC Addict the slight drag effect from the rear aids in turning and climbing. Since we aren't running on pavement there is almost always enough slip in the terrain to not have adverse effects. It would be more of an issue if the rear was faster than the front.
@scottrc57768 жыл бұрын

Oho NOOOO !!! A Axial Helical Cut bevel gears LMAO !!! I love my XL !!! Its so insane now Josh !!!I heard that I might be able to buy a Vanquish XL axle from the company ... Is this TRUE ?? I'd love to have that opportunity .. Can you help me out ?
@HarleyDesignsInc8 жыл бұрын
I wish I had some time to spend with my XL but it hasn't been driven in months. We have TONS of XL axles on the shelf but can't advertise them for sale until we address the issue. If anyone wants to buy one knowing the issues with the HD gear then I have no problem selling them one.
