This is proof that "Today is going to be a great day." What started a few days ago as anger, hopelessness and frustration, is now unadulterated joy. Music wins again.

Joel is amazing... hearing him play Irish tunes the last couple of years has inspired me to learn some Irish tunes myself. I play mainly for my own enjoyment, but sometimes for others, and its always good to know a variety of tunes... and I do have some Irish in me, as many people do ! Love the Easy 3rd and paddy richter tunings... don't always need them, but for certain songs they do really help make them easier to play. The Octaharp is really cool... I built one with a mouthpiece from Joel, that fit Seydel harps, so I used a regular 1847 G, and a Low tone 1847 G that I modified for Easy 3rd.... So much fun to play ! Have fun guys and God bless you !

@@stephenkatko3236 Yeah, like Old Time Harmonica said below... I used Blu Tack adhesive on the end of the 2 and 3 draw reeds to lower the pitch a whole step... works great, and easy to remove if you want... no soldering required. I explain the Easy 3rd tuning in my video, starting at about the 2:00 mark, where I play my OctaHarp... kzbin.info/www/bejne/an-6q4GvipuofLM

wow - I love how Brendon plays his Irish tunes but this guy is awesome - the tune sounds so full of flavour - still really pissed that I'm not there with you both - if Joel has a channel his has certainly got another follower 👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🤩😎

I love that Celtic stuff! I use to have a nice tremelo tuned Comet that was stolen from me along with all my other gear. I miss playing that thing but I can do ok on a regular harp. Glad you had a good time Mooncat despite all that what happened.

Instead of torturing yourself just get a 16 hole chromatic all those notes to play without bends and fiddling about.

Never felt like torture a lot of us play both for different reasons , microtones, enharmonic possibilities and most importantly FUN! 💜

Stevie Wonder, Toots played both chromatic and diatonic baby and loved it! Filip Jers kills on BOTH and sooooo many others. It's all beautiful! They are different instruments. A fretless bass is harder than a fretted one at first but does think a fretted bass cannot. Different instrument, different sound, different possibilities. If your thing is just the chromatic go for it Roland! That's a beautiful pursuit! Nothing about ANY of Joel's playing sounds torturous to me or anyone I have ever met you would actually be the first exception and that's ok too 💜. Joel will be ok. He's use to putting himself out there's Every instrument takes work and fiddling about if you actually LOVE it. Post us a video Roland and show the world how it's done! 💜 Surely it would be A LOT easier to play this piece of Joel's without all this bends on your chromatic and thanks for watching these videos on the meantime! ❤️
