I had nerve damage after having a T.I.A. (mini-stroke) about 10 years ago. The T.I.A. was caused by sleeping in a home where there was a "smart meter" installed on the outside - just on the other side of my head where I was sleeping. After 5 months - I had a mini stroke. Anyway, I recovered - and moved out. Nothing like this has happened since. I had tons of stress after the T.I.A. and would have mini breakdowns often - way too often! So a good friend - who is an herbalist and kind of like you - walked in his house - after I told him what I was going through - and handed me a bottle of skullcap and said take this! I took it immediately. And It helped - IMMEDIATELY! I took it for 5 months and am convinced that skullcap healed the nerve damage - 100%!!!! So happy to see this video as I trust you and your knowledge of herbs! THANK YOU!

Hello Yarrow. I've been making and sharing Skullcap tea in the early evening for quiet a while, to help relax and prepare for a good night's sleep. It's one of my favourite nervines.

I'm a herb nerd 😁 I talk to plants the same way. My trees have names and my grandbabies hug them barefoot. I'm in awe! Everytime I look for a new friend, she shows up. It makes me giddy realizing I've been surrounded by them for decades and called them weeds🤦♀️😂 Every year they look healthier. They're bringing my "impossible" vision of permaculture, food forest and natural healing pardise to reality. We support each other to feed, heal and love. My apothecary is beyond what I thought possible 2yrs ago. Medical emergencies, pain and suffering have been avoided numerous times for myself and determined doubters. Nature's magic leads my soul❤ Thank you for sharing your passion, knowledge and time😇

I have seizures if I’m not medicated. I haven’t had a seizure in many years but when I tried going off my prescription I did have a seizure. I have been harvesting skullcap for the past 5 years in hopes I can get off my prescription and just use skullcap. I have my doctors support he just said he knows nothing about it. So my question is how would one wean themselves off of the prescription and ease into the skullcap at the same time? I also have the support from my chiropractor. I have been practicing herbal medicine for the past 5 years and love it. You are my favorite herbalist
@emilybh62554 ай бұрын
In addition to Skullcap, if I were you having seen the synergistic effect Skullcap has when taken with other herbs like mentioned in this video. I would add those in and gradually take less and less of the Rx. The formula I saw stop a petit mal seizures permanently was called "Nerve Restore" by Quantum Herbal. Unfortunately they are no longer around but their formula included Skullcap, Oat Seed, Orange Peel and leaf, Celery Seed, lavender, Coffee Bean and kola nut.t.

Your message leads to the best way to do this. If it were me, I would slowly easing into skullcap when working with this type of thing, also not in too large of a dosage to begin with. Working with a herbalist or other practitioner around this is ideal to get feedback and modify as you see benefits or challenges that may come up. May even want to start a low dosage while still on prescription. Though this is not meant to be medical advice. You need to take responsibility for your chooses and notice/modify as you get feedback from your body.

I've been studying for a bit now and of several of my teachers and books you are by far my favorite to learn from. Thank you for these wonderful teachings. You will see me going through all your videos :). I do use this herb as well and it's combined with camomile and whatever I feel led to add at the time or situation.

sounds like I need this herb in my life. Ive been using and (growing, well the Lemon Balm has been spreading and growing on it's own very happily)for the reasons you mention especially grounding and trying to remain comfortable in public settings. Would you say Skullcap works even better? I think lemon balm has been helping with anticipatory anxiety mostly in my case.
