In the grand early days, silent film stars #MaryPickford and #DouglasFairbanks held court at their Pickfair estate. #CharlieChaplin built his home nearby, followed later by the #BusterKeaton Italian Villa, and magnificent #HaroldLloyd Green Acres estate. For a few years, at the peak of their film careers, Harold, Buster, Charlie, Mary, and Doug were once all neighbors.

I would love to see a documentary about these homes. Mostly Green Acres and Pickfair. And the pool at Pickfair. It's shape, it's size, that photo of Doug and Mary in a canoe in the pool! It's opulent without being ostentatious. Great piece!

I just read about that talent-less bimbo Pia Zadora who demolished PickFair ( a HERITAGE home) to build a MONSTROSITY in its place.

John, your videos are AMAZING. My brother and I actually make pilgrimages to LA a couple times a year to hunt down old movie star homes and old silent film locations, lol (we did a day in Chatsworth last time as well). So great to see someone so excited about the same thing. I know how much work these are and how much research goes into them, and I truly truly appreciate it. The excitement and thrill is indescribable, lol.
