STEALING HOME( Mark Harmon, Jodie Foster).My favorite film.A film one must, I repeat myself one must watch alone.Why? One must watch alone to instead of hearing them characters listen to understand.I still cry it tons.

I remember Ford saying on one of the late night talk shows the he loves stupid. He got to demonstrate that with some of his antics in Regarding Henry. I.e. Deliberately spilling the orange juice. I'm sure that was improvised.

I think that's a plot point, not improvisation. Before the shooting, the daughter had spilled orange juice on his piano (that curiously we never see) and he lost his shit at her. We didn't see the incident but saw his "apology" for his reaction. When she spills the juice at breakfast, she is scared of how he will react. Instead of being angry, he intentionally knocks over his own juice, showing how much he has changed.

Probably his worst movie but full marks for him in taking on a role against type
