Daniel is actually a pretty good actor. You can see that light, dazed kind of look on his face at 2:20 like "did she just kiss me??!!! Oh my god!!" And that's so understandable because throughout the book he has a major crush on her but had to hide his feelings because she was with someone else, and it'd be like back stabbing Ron. He seems so delighted and relieved that she's into him too, and she made the first move.

I love how Ginny is the dominant one here, telling Harry what to do and he just dutifully obeys. She has more dating experience and she knows Harry is awkward when it comes to girls, so it makes sense for her to take the lead. I also think it's more meaningful than in the book because here Ginny is saving him from the influence of the Potions book, like how he saved her from Riddle's diary.

I've never read the book but I think this one can't get better. It's obvious if you read the book first, you start comparing each other and ruin all the adrenaline rush. Kissing in front of 50 people for the first time: act of bravery mixed with a pinch of carelessness Kissing in a hidden hallway, where nobody comes, and a pleasant background music plays: bravery mixed with the feelings of cowardice. She says "that can stay hidden too if you want".... Which cannot be said in front of 50 people. Bravery and cowardice, 2 opposite features stats power-punched in a single, light kiss. Your heartbeat goes up the first time you kiss. That's the feeling director emphasised on. I don't belive it can be made better. ~BTW, English is not my forte, neither is my mother tongue, so pardon my English and also for the word "cowardice" I used. Couldn't come up with a better word. ~And yes, forget the first kiss, my heartbeat goes up whenever I see girls who are sensual or those who stole glanced at me. 😂😂

I like that Harry's less resistant to giving up the book in this movie. After he uses Sectumsempra on Malfoy, he allows his friends to talk sense into him, especially Ginny. Her telling him, "You have to get rid of it. Now." in the scene preceding this was a nice lead-in to this scene here. Ginny's there for Harry at a very vulnerable moment, helping him to get rid of a book that's very bad for him, and which he would be too scared to do on his own. Exactly like Harry did for Ginny in Chamber of Secrets. This scene is the two of them really bonding through relating to each other's vulnerability, and I love that.

Ginny is also a better person here than she was in the book, where she defended the Sectumsempra spell as "something good" and didn't object to Harry planning to go back for the book later, whereas here she knows the book is dangerous and convinces Harry to give it up.

although this differs from the book, i actually appreciate harry and ginny's private kiss as opposed to an open public make out. especially for a first kiss, it reveals a much deeper romance and sentiment that ron and lav can never have - because it hasn't been developed. their make out is just sheer excitement and spur of the moment where feelings between harry and ginny have been building FOR SIX BOOKS. i guess that's why more of you prefer their glorious moment.... maybe i'm just old fashioned. not that i dislike their moment of excitement after quidditch, i just feel that a private first kiss is more intimate.

Harry and Ginny are an amazing couple but they don't really seem to be hiding feelings for each other. The books is better. But I like the ending. They have three children- James Sirius Potter, Albus Severus Potter and Lily Luna Potter. I totally ship them.

@Beastpower64 Yes finally someone said it. It's also worth noting that the main reason why Ginny was even attracted to Harry was because he was "The boy who lived". In reality we know that Harry *hates* having that title. Him marrying a fangirl who had a celebrity crush on him is just so... ugh. Then there's the fact that Ginny is pretty much a Mary Sue because she's just good at everything in the Half Blood Prince, wouldn't Harry be turned off by that? In conclusion I have no bad feelings to people who ship Harry and Ginny but in my opinion it's one of the worst pairings. I would've been happier if Harry was still single at the end of the series than marrying Ginny.

They actually made Harry more soft as compared to book Harry... In movies Harry hides Half Blood Prince's book because he feels that the Prince book is dangerous after sectumsempra incident while actually in books Harry hides it because he doesn't want Snape to find it and take the book away from him and even says that Prince made that sectumsempra curse for personal reasons so the book isn't dangerous when Hermione says that the book is dark and harmful...

I honestly can’t show any interest in the Ginny from the books, it’s almost boring because of the fact that she’s got that fire like all the other girls in the book. The Ginny in the movies is my above all favorite. I can connect to her in some way due to her personality. The Ginny in the movies is serene and patient, she’s got that sense of instant forgiving, a feeling of mystery. You can’t tell what’s around the next bend, she’s ever changing and full of surprises. I could honestly go on about this for days, but I shall stop myself from talking about the brilliantly put together girl. :)

Ngl but I loved book Ginny and movie Ginny equally but when it comes to kissing this scene melted my heart in happiness. This was one of my favorite scenes. Ginny got so much parts in the films as she had in the books. As much as I liked their kiss in the book I felt it was kinda forced like they were showing everyone in public how to kiss. I wouldn't go dragging my boyfriend and kissing him in front of everyone. I would have felt like it would make us both awkward so I can see why this scene happened in the movie and not in the book. They are both different in a good way. This scene is exactly how I kiss my bf. Their kiss here felt more passionate, gentle, and romantic and it didn't feel forced to me which is why I preferred this over the book.
