Its specified in the books that Slytherin had been winning the House Cup for many years, they had a streak going on. Not to mention Snape was partial to Slytherin and would regularly deduct points from other houses to keep Slytherin ahead. When Gryffindor won, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw celebrated as well because Slytherin was the hated house.

If they had to maximize the book content onto the screen, then they would have had to make a webseries and not a movie for these things. And while high-budget webseries are commonplace now, back in the day, it was all about movies...

i didn't watch avengers, fast and furious, john wick and even ring and something sorry i don't know all the names. and i watch hp for the first time in 2012 when i was 14. it's okay to watch something for the first time. not everyone was allowed to watch TV as a child. ron was actually much more street smart in the books but the movie director lliked emma watson a loot and gave a lot of imp ron ideas and dialogues to hermione which is the thing i hate about the movies a looot the books give you a lot more story as to why these three became friends and how each one has a very unique set of skills -for ex the devils snare scene ron was the one who told the others to stay still and not move while hermione was the one freaking out

Not only that! They literally threw Ginny under the bus just to boost up one girl character, his fav Hermione. In the book it's so clear why she's Harry potter's true love! Ginny is way more interesting than Hermione in the books. Even they overshadowed the title character to uplift Hermione's importance.

1:17:28 there’s a context missing here the slytherin house was notorious for snitching on other houses and get the points deducted and prof snaps would deduct points for every other house for every little thing in favour of his house slytherin so proff.dumbledore was not being partial he was just righting the wrongs -every other house celebrated when griffindor won against slytherin just shows you how slytherin was 😂😂

Welcome to The Wizarding World rabbit hole that is Harry Potter. The best thing about the Sorcerer's/Philosopher's Stone, to me is that the chambers following the third-floor corridor containing Fluffy each play to the strengths of Harry, Ron and Hermione. The Devil's Snare chamber caters to Hermione's knowledge of spells. (Even though she froze up out of fear in the book and had to be reminded that she was a witch by Ron) The room with the winged keys caters to Harry's skill with quidditch. And the chess room caters to Ron's knowledge of how to play chess. Side notes: The Sorting Hat chooses new students' houses based on their corresponding personality traits: Gryffindor-Bravery, helping others, and chivalry. Hufflepuff-Hard work, patience, loyalty, and fair play. Ravenclaw-Intelligence, knowledge, and wit. Slytherin-Ambition, cunning and resourcefulness. Erised (The Mirror of Erised) is the word desire spelled backward. Hedwig is a snowy owl. They have ruffled wing feathers to silence their flight so prey animals don't hear them coming. They also have natural camouflage due to their coloration, and they're the only birds who don't have bare feet due to their habitats, like the Arctic Tundra. At the time of the deaths of Lily and James Potter at the hands of Voldemort, Harry was only 15 months old.

So everybody keeps repeating this that Dumbledore was biased against Slytherines. But is he? He told the Slytherines they won the House Cup Based on the Point Count until the events of the last day. The way I see it he gave them more credit than they deserved. Slytherines gained those points by cheating, bullying, abusing others everyone through out the year. They got away with it because of Snape. They cheated during quidditch and Draco broke a rule and then tattled on Griffindores for breaking the same rule. He also insulted Ron and Hermione. They didn't care about rules nor were they honest or disciplined in anything they did. Why is everyone so poor Slytherine then? Dumbledore didn't just give out points to Griffindores for no Reason. They contributed to saving the school. Were their actions out of the jurisdiction of students? Sure. They broke rules, but for a change for a good cause, to save the school, unlike the Slytherines. Slytherines Broke the Rules because they were purists, classists, elitists assholes who believed themselves above everyone else. If you read the books you will realize, it wasn't just griffindores Slytherines didn't get along with. They didn't get along with any of the other houses for this very reason just like House's Founder Salazar Slytherine.
