I think it was a sign. I watched all the movies with my brother and SIL in 2016. Then I DECOURED the books. My SIL said thaf GoF was SOOO much better in the book (she's right). I am a proud Hufflepuff that has PoA and GoF as her favorite books and PoA,SS, and OotP as her favorite movies. Sorry for the rambling. I just REALLY loved this.

I'm finally able to sit down and comment on this video! Took a few days to gather my thoughts. First , let me tell you that you are SO creative! You took my idea and made it completely your own LOVE that. Second, I loved every second of this video! I could talk about how much Harry Potter means to me for a while. Like you, it shaped me into the person I am today. I was six years old when I read the first book. Growing up physically disabled I was bullied a lot and didn't feel like I belonged anywhere. Hogwarts truely felt like HOME and it is my go to series (books and movies alike) whenever I'm feeling sad or happy. I learned that it was okay to be different. I didn't finish reading the series until I was a teenager in middle school. I am now 25 years old and I still read them once a year.

I think this reading challenge is a fantastic idea. It’s a wonderful way to encourage more people to read and explore new genres. i fell in love with the book when it first came out my mum got it for me too and still got the original means alot to me also the films came out around my birthday in Nov so my present was going to see them. it being harry potter is the icing on the cake, totally going to make this myself Slytherin all the way Severus Snape is amaing

I so wish I had been into HP when it was first coming out because I was 11. So I would’ve grown up with the characters. By the time I got into it the last book was releasing. So at least I got to marathon them. But my favorite character is Ron, and I got his wand at the Warner Bros London Studios, which was amazing. Harry Potter means a lot to me too. I lost my brother 14 years ago. Harry Potter was our thing. I took him to see all the movies. He wasn’t a reader. He never got to see the last 2 movies. I did get to tell him how it ended before he passed. He also had a lightning bolt scar on his forehead. I always had the glasses. The world of Harry Potter has always been so much more than a book for me.

You really should check out One Dark Window! Very unique & complicated plot but in a very accessible way! Ehh Colleen Hoover is hit or miss for me...Verity was pretty good, but is her mystery type book.

I definitely do not think it’s overreacting or sappy to have a book/book series affect your life in such a big way 💕. Growing up I didn’t really enjoy reading, because I had reading deficiencies but I remember my grandfather reading to me out of this book of fairy tales and always encouraging me to read along the best I could. Those moments reading with him will always be with me and eventually helped developed my love for reading. 1st, I loved EVERYTHING about this video! I am also a huge potter head and have memories of going with my parents to get each book when it was released. I think this needs to be a permanent “special” wheel in your monthly TBR videos! 😜. Also, now I really want to drop everything and make my own HP prompt wheel! 😂😂😂 2nd, I absolutely LOVE It Ends With Us and actually cried while reading that book! I one million percent agree with everything you said and also do not in any way feel like Colleen Hoover was glorifying DV in this book. I felt like it was super raw, realistic, and heart wrenching, especially after reading the author’s note and learning that Colleen Hoover wrote from the perspective of witnessing her own mother experience DV.

I was never big in to Harry Potter I was in to manga series called Negima also about a 10 year old wizard and dean Koontz Frankenstein. For manga that has possession that isn’t scary look for the Shaman King series. It’s an about a tournament and the hero’s and villains fight with Goshts . But usually the gosht are friends like yoh the main hero has friend who is a samurai gosht . And there is British character who has a fairy as gosht partner . Sorry but since you asked for a non scary book series with the evolving possession, shaman king is the only one I know The anime is different from the manga . The card thing sounds like the anime card capters.

I did get to tell him how it ended before he passed. He also had a lightning bolt scar on his forehead. I always had the glasses.
