And totally f*cked up the Percy Jackson movies. Not saying he's a bad director tho. He is an excellent director who directed films like home alone. But it's just that, he totally deviated from the script material while filming Percy jackson lightning thief. He usually sticks to the books. But that misstep caused the entire Percy Jackson franchise to fail. And im a huge fan of Rick Riordan.

Alfonso was truly a unique director, poa is truly the greatest film in the franchise in my opinion. Also the one film where Harrys hair actually looked like how described in the books.

Its amazing how all the actors were children and as the movies progress the actor's ages progress as well! I am also around their age and it made me feel like I grew with them

I think David Heyman, Chris Columbus and the uniqueness of Alfonso would have created the most amazing team. Chris and David had this passion for the books and truly understood how to turn it from page to screen. They created such magic, nostalgia and warmth on the screen, with a SPOT ON cast whilst Alfonso made it more beautiful and organic. I don't think any other of the Harry Potter films got as much love, time and devotion as the first ones got. They felt magical but real. 4-8 just felt like... special effects. I just don't "believe" them as I do with the first ones. I also wish the rest of the films had stayed more true to the books. I know it can't be exactly the same, but I would've wished for more depth in the films. And of course to have seen Dumbledore stay Dumbledore for the rest of the franchise. Michael Gambon is a brilliant actor but his Dumbledore was just too out of character in my opinion.
