Been buying these for the past couple of years for my now 9 year old. He loves them, I think they are great value for money for LEGO and he loves the ‘staging’ of the boxes and that you can genuinely interact with each item and keep it forever - it’s a great fun activity every day

I think the bald professor is Flitwick! He always decorates the trees in the great hall, and if you look at his minifig, his leggies are as short as the kids'. He's smaller than Dumbledore😊 Agree with the other comments saying the Hufflepuff is Susan Bones and the Ravenclaw is Cho Chang!❤ Loved this calendar

Absolutely love this! I agree with others that the second teacher is most probably Flitwick. As for the Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff characters - they immediately make me think of Susan Bones (described as a red head in the books) and Cho Chang.

The spare pieces are not in case you loose any. You get them because of how the sets are assembled in factory. A machine weigh out the right number of every type of piece, but because the scales are not precise enough they have to put in extra of the smallest pieces to make sure you don't accidentally get zero in some boxes.

Hi Cherry! Love your Advent Calendar series! As an AFL (Adult Fan of Lego) I have really enjoyed this calendar series since its introduction. Like you, I love the little food pieces and details that Lego includes. My only complaint would be about the statues for each house; they don’t really look like the mascots. When you have to use the color of the bottom tile to recognize the house, there’s something wrong with the statue. I appreciate your honest opinion of the calendars, some are really not a good value. The Lego calendar is, however, a great value and a fun gift for any Lego fan. Love your channel and hope to visit your shop someday in the future. (Might be awhile, as I live in the US.) I only have the first and third Lego HP advent calendars (2019 & 2021), but they all seem pretty solid. Really good set this year though, I much prefer the proper Christmassy theme of it, love how they included a chorister ghost from Philosopher's Stone. Nice idea of the stone statues, but I agree they don't quite look like what they're supposed to represent. Maybe they should have stuck with 'winged boars' that appear in the books. Hoping one day Lego will give us a fiery head Sirius to put in the fireplaces we get all the time. Also hope that they go on to do Christmas at 12 Grimmauld Place, or at the Burrow like in 5 & 6. Maybe it's just not as easy to sell as a Hogwarts themed calendar.

The calendar is very cute. I can understand how a child would love to receive this for the holidays. You also enjoyed it so much and you were very good at figuring out how to put them together. This video is very fun. It is worth the fun to buy it too.

I am so excited that you opened this one. I already have mine to open next month and have the previous gotten the last two years calendars. I really appreciate that they did this years to go with the Great Hall set (mentioned on one side of the box) The “wheels” for the train is actually a mini-fig roller skate. The chocolate frog card photos are a collection of 14 that you have to buy multiple different sets to try to get them all

The Hufflepuff student is Susan since Hannah has blonde hair and the lego matches Susans hair. Fun fact: Canonically Neville Longbottom married Hannah Abbott while Luna Lovegood married Rolf Scamander. Which surprised some fans because many thought Neville and Luna would have married each other but that didn't happen they married a person who matches their personalities well. Actually I don't know how well Hannah suits Neville's personality but Rolf definitely suits Luna's personality especially if he is continuing on his grandfather newt scamander's legacy. I think newt scamander is rolf's grandfather. Might be great grandfather.
