Robert Pattinson this generations Leonardo DiCaprio
@AbhishekChaudhary-uq4xo3 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't say that. Leo has been in some of the best films of 21st century so far but they were all safe movies. By safe I mean most of them were mainstream movies by acclaimed directors like Scorsese, Tarantino, Inarittu etc. These guys have strong backings. Pattinson on the other hand has done more daring and different movies with lesser known auteurs. For a lack of better word, his movies were very unconventional unlike Leo's filmography. I'm not saying that Leo is a bad actor. Infact, he is an amazing actor but he has always played it safe. Rather than Leonardo DiCaprio, I think Pattinson is this generations Philip Seymour Hoffman. Philip Seymour Hoffman was very unconventional in his choices as well and had a talent of using different accents with ease, a talent that Pattinson also uses in his acting performances very often be it The King, The Rover, Good tImes and The Devil All The time.
@a.madison96253 жыл бұрын
@@gomathinayaganthirugnanasa6542 Pattinson is not method at all. He has his own process and he's made fun of method actors. See his Variety interview with Jennifer Lopez. She asked him about method acting and he said, "Did you ever notice method actors always say that when they're playing assholes?" He doesn't think much of method acting.
@a.madison96253 жыл бұрын
@Duc Long Nguyen Nope, that's just acting, not method. Rob jokes and cracks up between takes, he doesn't always stay in character, in fact, it's rare when he does. He wasn't using method for Good Time, he simply lived in Harlem and wore the costumes/clothing on the street to get accustomed to it, and comfortable with it, because it was foreign to him. As for Batman, there are pics where he's smiling and laughing as well. Keep in mind it was cold, they were shooting outdoors, and under time/lighting constraints, so of course he looked pretty serious between takes. That's normal, not method acting. He never had any formal acting training and certainly never the method. In his Variety interview with Jennifer Lopez, he said, "I always say about people who do method acting, you only ever see people do the method when they’re playing an a-holes,” Pattinson admitted. “You never see someone being lovely to everyone while they’re really deep in character.” And, Rather than remain in character throughout an entire production, Pattinson prefers to focus his energy exclusively while the camera is rolling. “I need to know when you’re on stage and when you’re off stage. I need to know that between action and cut, that’s the thing. That’s the safe space. I need to know it ends. I need to know there’s a cut coming, and then I’ll feel safe. If it just feels like you can’t get out, that’s when you go crazy.”
Rob never uses his own voice/accent in any film. He's a master of voice work. They left out The Rover, 2014, for which he deserved a best supporting actor Oscar nomination. He was phenomenal. If you're just discovering him, watch that, along with Tenet, Good Time, The Lighthouse, High Life, The Lost City of Z and The Childhood of a Leader, where he has a small but significant role. After Batman, he's making another indie with his High Life director, Claire Denis.

He does in Tenet
@a.madison96253 жыл бұрын
@@AwakensYT No, not even close. He and the director both said he was inspired by the way the British author, Christopher Hitchens speaks. He studied Hitchens' interviews here on KZbin. He sounds nothing like Hitchens when he uses his own voice. What I've discovered is that a lot of people have no ear for accents, they can't tell one British accent from another, and they have no idea what Rob's real voice sounds like.

Batman was a martial artist. His physique suits the character perfectly. I am tired of bulky bats

When watching rob act, it reminds me of young leonardo dicaprio. He has same range and versatility as an actor.

It feels very weird to see clips from the bad mother’s handbook because they filmed it in my old school and part of it in my house. Great to see how far he’s come since then

I loooved him in The King, it was a role he’s never really played before and he absolutely crushed it! He’s really great in every role he does, but he’s really made an effort to step out of his comfort zone and do all sorts of movies.

I never liked Rob because of his Twilight role, i've said that many times but I fell in love with him and his acting once I saw The Lighthouse. His acting left me fascinated with him since I thought he could never pull off with becoming Bruce Wayne. Robert puts so much hard work into the films he's in and since then i've been watching any good movie he is in. I cannot wait for The Batman.

glad that he's getting the attention and appreciation for his acting he deserves this year
