He and Lance Archer known as The Killer Elite Squad were a great team for seven years in New Japan and NOAH. Archer has more personality but both solid in-ring workers. Together they won the GHC Tag Team Championship twice, NWA World Tag Team Championship twice, and IWGP Tag Team Championship three times.

He never struck me as someone with a real presence or personality. I saw him wrestle Iive in 2006 on a few occasions at UK indy shows, on Smackdown in 2010 and even on British wrestling on TV in 2016/2017 and on WWE tv in his first run. He always seemed generic and bland despite his solid in ring work. Davey Boy wasn't the most charasmatic wrestler with strong promo skills (which probably prevented him from becoming a main eventer as well as troubled lifestyle) but had a working class/Blue Collar likeability and relatable nature about him. He could also come across well as a brutish/bullish heel. These aspects brought out a presence with some charisma and promo skills and he got over even when we wasn't at his athletic best (still a great worker). I remember hearing rumours that they were going to consider Harry in Legacy with Orton, Cody and Dibiase Jnr. I remember thinking it was a shame he wasn't included but maybe not. Nothing stuck out about him.

​@@anthonyflynn2662you're definitely right about the Anoai family, I don't think the Uso's or Roman are anything spectacular. Their promos and general attitude are bland (feels kind of forced too) and their 'tribal' gimmick is stale now. Their family name is a big part as to why they're pushed so hard.

WWE has screwed that Hart Family so many times. From Vince stiffing Stu on payment for Stampede, Scapegoating Davey Boy in 1992, the Screwjob, Owen’s Death, Screwing Harry etc. Hart’s did so much for WWE & WWE just uses & abuses.

Stop looking for excuses. His last didn't work because there was a new era and his time was up. Plain and simple. He was semi injured and their were top wrestlers on the rise. Austin, rock, Hhh. Davey was done by the late 90s.

Davey’s run in 1999 mostly didn’t work because he was in a shitty place health wise and never really healed up completely after his back injury. That and he was dealing with an addiction. The era has nothing to do with it. He literally updated to accommodate for that new era.

I imagine they wanted Harry on board because WWE has no ownership of the British Bulldog name or Davey Boy smiths likeness. Harry now owns the name and he and his sister, possibly Diana aswell get all the royalties. Im sure WWE wanted to keep hm sweet so they could make Documentaries and use Davey Boy while paying the family as little royalties as possible.

It didn't because WWE is sabotaging wrestler's careers on purpose. again it's all about control and power over the wrestling industry and making it diffcult for any wrestler to make money outside of WWE without getting revenue off wrestler's. it's actually very simple explanation but people refuse to believe it. people live in fantasy world or a matrix and tend to be closeminded to reality.
