Before I was almost exclusively shopping at Uniqlo because it was one of the few brands that fit me. It's nice to have a bit of variety. Having said that, due to the pricing of their items I still only shop there occasionally and I'm not sure I'd shop at Abercrombie much if I was a taller guy with more options available to me.

A few people in these comments hit on it, but the long length is just a bit more comfortable for some guys. People who are truly into fashion (like those that watch this channel) understand that a slightly shorter (maybe even cropped look) is often better. However the “average” guy doesn’t understand this and would view that type of fit as too short. This is especially true in the US, where abercrombie is based out of.
@HarryHas Жыл бұрын
Yeah I agree with you. Also some people who are really into fashion like longer tops. It’s just a preference but I have to agree I think Abercrombie are aiming to appeal to as many people as possible, hence the longer fit.

I personally love Abercrombie at the moment - however I agree with your comment about sizing. I have some hoodies in medium which fit great, but also in small.

Love this video, such good honest review! One thing I'd always be interested to see is an overview of the ethics of the brand, such as sustainability and working conditions. Hopefully people are starting to pay more attention to how and where their clothing is made - and not just fast fashion brands, but high-end and designer clothing too! Abercrombie, for example, have a pretty poor reputation when it comes to their environmental record and treatment of workers. Would love to see this topic become a part of the conversation with any new clothing brand or style.

When I moved to America 20 years ago it was a very popular brand, and it was also having a moment in the UK. My nieces who were teenagers at the time would always get a haul of sale stuff whenever they visited. The clothes have definitely changed because they used to be tiny. An XL would fit a medium (they were called muscle shirts because I guess they were supposed to be worn tight. There's an Abercrombie in my local mall (and most malls in the USA) so the beauty of that is being able to go into the store and try stuff on. I'm tempted to go and check it out again soon. Cheers for the video, great content as usual. About 10 years ago it was considered a kiddie/teenage brand, however recently their look is more mature and less overly branded. I'm a little stockier than yourself so the boxier fits will probably work well. As for the length, that doesn't bother me too much as often my clothes will shrink a couple of inches in length in the wash.

I ordered some stuff before the summer, returned like half. The quality was decent on most, something like linen shorts i really liked but it was also relatively expensive. AF is fine if you really like the piece but budget wise for value its pretty bad. They for sure have better fitting bottoms than tops.

bro is on onto that real good stuff now 🔥

I loved the idea of linen shorts and the Abercrombie pair looked great. But they are 78% cotton and only 21% linen. It's definitely not worth what they are asking for a cotton pair of shorts.

Yeah, I get what you mean. They are still great for the summer for me.

@@HarryHas Willing to try it out in store! Kotn (A Canadian brand you recommended in another video, thanks!) has some 100% linen shorts that look very nice as well.

Appreciate the honesty. And tbf these are your personal opinion so I dont think its harsh at all. And jus from the video i can tell the tops are jus way too long.

I totally agreed on AC T shirts. Tho you’re 6 foot tall, it’s long t’s Over priced too dress shirts, polo’s are all out of fashion Maybe the cut or style. Trousers the same. Very common & over priced. Sweatshirt/ Sweatpants etc the same. Just the label or logos the difference otherwise, it’s exactly the same compare to other major stores. Never ending lol boxers shirts omg common. Again , we’re paying the name. I got few of AC too but limiting now, unless it’s outstanding & price is reasonable. Cheers ( btw, keep growing your hair. Looking good buddy 😜

Maybe I have a shorter torso but yeah, I think the tops are going to be too long for a lot of people. Thanks a lot bro. I’m sticking with this length for a while as I really like it but maybe I’ll go a little longer further down the road. Who knows.

Hey, first of all I love your videos. I think the signet ring you're wearing in this video is really cool. Where do you have it from?

More than likely from Serge Denimes. Thanks

Honestly I really like my tops to be on the slightly longer side of things. So fits look fantastic to me.

Could be a good brand to look at for you then

@@HarryHas Definitely could be, however for the time being I am on a little bit of a custom clothing binge. Had rain jackets made and now on to Hawaiian shits.

abercrombie's cropped clothes are so much better; the sweaters and tees fall perfectly, at least for me

I'm 6'2" with long arms and have loved their length for most garments. I like their boxy fit too. Any recs for a leveled up A&F that you can recommend?

They have nice essentials but it’s on the expensive side. I like their jeans a lot but usually only shop when they have a 20-30% sale.

Dude they’re the only ones doing athletic fit jeans. You don’t understand how game changing that is. Just bottoms and maybe one or two simple T-shirts. Plus they’re super cheap on sale, especially when multi packs go on sale.
@liamneslind5708 Жыл бұрын
Their quality has dropped drastically since covid. Its not the same store. However their black jeans are really good maybe the best for regular lower priced jeans still, which I'm glad. I got a new pair in 2022 and they were fine.

Got a couple pieces from them and while they have some cool stuff, the quality is kinda iffy. Their pieces look good at first but start to lose their form after a couple wears/washes. Their chinos started to fade after less than a year and the oxford button down shrunk and the fabric started weirdly pilling. I do have a camp collar button down that's really soft and actually really nice and has held up. So maybe it just depends what you get from them.

Yeah, it’s the same with a lot of these mid-more affordable brands. They are very hit or miss.
