Ben, an amazing job as usual! Seriously, GMT should employ you to redesign their rule books. The iconography makes it so much easier to wrap your head around. I love GMT games but I find their rule books and playbooks positivity obstructive to learning their games. Once you have learnt a game you realise it is not a complex as the rules made out. Although I am not sure that can be said for LoD. This video must of taken you ages to make, thank you very much, you have saved me a huge head ache. Please keep on doing these. I am going to print out your break down of each action and make player aids for when I teach the game, they are so much better than the player aids in the box.

3.3.1 'The Patriots may select any one Rally space with a Patriot Fort and replace any Militia with Continentals.' It's not one militia into a continental as you described but instead one space where all militia can be turned into continentals.

Thanks for all the hard work put into making these, they are so helpful and thorough. I saw a couple discrepancies from the rules concerning French Muster and Indian March commands. 1) the cost of the French Muster is 2 resources, not 1 as stated. 2) Indian War Parties are only activated by exceeding 3 when adding the number of War Parties marching to the number of Patriot Militia in the destination. Patriot Continentals and French regulars (blue/white cubes) should not be considered when calculating, only Patriot Militia and the marching War Parties. edit: Just noticed a few more: 3) On the Defender Loss table, Indians Defending in Reserve should be -1 to losses, not +1. 4) When determining battle winner, you only exclude Militia and War Parties that are Underground, but still tally the ones that are active. 5) Indian's War Path special ability can remove any Rebellion unit, the Militia removed does not need to be active. 6) Patriot's Partisans special action cannot remove British Forts, only Indian Villages. 7) The British Naval Pressure special activity, before TOA adds 1D3 resources to the British, not 2. 8) The Patriot Persuasion special activity only raises 1 resource per colony/city, not 2. 9) The Indian Plunder special activity can only be chained to the Raid command, can only be performed in one province that contains a Raid command and where War Parties exceed Rebellion pieces, and a War Party is removed, not activated. 10) In the British Muster command, they may only choose option B, Reward Loyalty, if they have at least 1 Regular, 1 Tory, and Control.

Note: Indian villages can only be placed in Provinces, NOT in Cities.

Great review! Really made it easier to understand. If you are still going down the GMT road I request Labyrinth: The War on Terror 2001- ? for your next tutorial.

I'm interested in the game, but I'm pretty backlogged right now. If I do it will be later this year.

Any chance part 4 will focus on the solo/AI instructions =)? That would be amazing!
@harsh-rules6 жыл бұрын
Not sure if it will be in Part 4. I am planning on doing Solo AI section though

If it gets covered in this detailed way at some point, then that's certainly positive news =).

French Command Muster costs 2 resources - you said it costs 1.

Just a request. Can you turn down the intro music just a tad. I like these instructional videos but I do find myself rushing for the volume/mute when the video first starts.
