I saw the video title before I watched all of the GSL day and I thought you picked out the first game where he gets in with the medivac timing and just wins. Can't believe how the final game went. Such good games out of them the whole day. Byun has been my favorite since he streamed back in HOTS and made poor Demuslim suffer on NA. Inspiring guy.

@@philip2363 But then you assume micro is the only measure of skill that matters. Macro and strategy should matter right? If someone with superior macro and strategy loses because the Terran just micro's better it is bad for the game... Terran becomes better if you are good at micro, Zerg becomes better if you are good at macro, Protoss becomes better if you are good at strategy. They should all be just as good on average...

I thought this was a clear IODIS, as 6 base Zerg vs. 2 base Terran, and I didn't have any idea how Byun stayed in the game. Great casting! Without Artosis, the live casting suffers. Current patch and map pool favors Terran. 2018-2022 patches and map pool would have had Dark and DRG in round of 4. Balance is hard, and I remember when Maru and especially Byun had Terrans meganerfed with reaper nerfs. Remember when you could build barracks before depot? Zerg - remember when we could dropper lord/elevator before Lair? Some nerfs spoil all the fun. And infested Terrans.

Joking, I assume. Only Byun plays like that, or can. Possibly Oliveira could, but only Byun would. Zerg was obviously not Dark or Rogue, but beyond that top level Korean GM.

infesters would of been good, and hydralisks fora bio ball are super good dmage points and out range marines.. so 20 hydras... are great... and clean up medivacs combined with good fungals... infestors inf you stay on ling bane, it is 100% important you get infestors and have about atleast minimum 6.. 2 south 2 center and 2 top.. depending on your base and move accordingly to their energy level... Fungal... ability and slow stoping power allwos those most zerg cost effective ling banneling pushes and allwos banneling to be as a lead roll in.. wahts funny is most use a move command retreat whe nfungals... but in reality msot of the time they are dead with out a tank lien to fall back ot so its better for them to jsut stay put and die fighting.. lol.

If zerg had teched up byun would have lost bad. Infestors for fungal would have been huge but byun's micro is so incredible he might have just targeted all the banes anyways. Truly a byun strategy.

Nah bro the unit control didn't seem like neither byun or drg. On top of that, byun would never fall back with his all in, worst case scenario he would wait for medivac to drop into main. So yeah I checked and indeed Byun and DRG were playing yesterday, it was 2:0 for Byun, neohumanity was supposed to be the 3rd map. Oh captain my captain. I have solved it first!

It's true. I sent in the replay. This was me playing against myself on my other laptop. You can tell by the micro slip-ups. When I lost all of my queens to myself, I was performing an emergency tracheotomy with a pencil on a choking person so my attention wasn't fully on the game.

Not trying to take anything from Byun's victory, it's clear he was the better player here and DRG had some questionable fights/overextensions.. But this is not something you can micro your way out because you are not facing an opponent 2-3 leagues below you. Zerg has better upgrades and 5 bases while Terran 2 bases all game. Byun didn't even make any marauders for tanking... This game is a testament to how OP mules and stim marines are. Mules should behave like workers while mining, meaning they can't mine the same patch while an SCV is working there, and stim has to last 3-4 seconds shorter imo. Currently Terran is dominating both zerg and toss by a large margin.

I see your point and i fell the same sometimes when i play. Then i watch pros constantly making mistakes and losing matches that they should've won. In this game Byun didn't need any marauder for tanking because DRG made really few banes so making marauders would've been a waste of dps. DRG was winning and the moment he lost all his queens is where the situation started snowballing in Byun's favor.
