Fun fact: If your mixing bowl wasn't 100% free of oil residue from the chocolate mixture before than the egg whites will not whip like they are supposed to. Also, adding 1/4 teaspoon of cream or tartar to the egg whites will help them whip better and faster.

Jenna Hall yeah.... this was one of those episodes that stressed me out, because I wanted things to turn out well for her! I'm sitting here going "the ceramic bowl is probably big enough. Wash the metal Bowl! please wash it if you're going to use it! you have to get all the chocolate out!" I'm actually surprised and glad it turned out that well!

Great! I was scrolling down before commenting because I wanted to make sure someone hadn't already posted this comment already. Honestly though, I saw it coming in a way. I was thinking "Oh I hope she washed that bowl really well or this will turn out bad." Oh well, we all learn from experience, and it came out alright in the end.

Hannah, I almost don't even want to take this from you but ....gurl you made molten lava cake. WHICH IN OF ITSELF IS AN ACCOMPLISHMENT WORTH CELEBRATING. Sometimes life throws a challenge at you, and you tackle it head on with the best intentions. This just proves that even if you try, just a little bit, you can still make something beautiful. Even if it wasn't the true end goal. The goal you reach is just as worthy. ....and also you're not old.
@markpoole64497 жыл бұрын
Henry Pires Fun fact: the original lava cakes were mistakes that had to be served anyway because chef Jean-Georges had no other dessert available to serve at an event. People responded well, so he decided to keep making them that way.
@passwordpanda7 жыл бұрын
I. Love. This. Fun fact.

INSTAFAVE! This ep so good!! I loved the... when I started this show I was parodying the type of person I'm becoming... sincerely. A great, quick kinda self-deprecating, observational jab. Then the "Day six of making the souffle" scene was solid gold, reminiscent of some older eps, like the French ep, which I love, and then the way it turned out, both in terms of the souffle, and the recording, was a sheer treat.

Hannah, I just love you so damn much. My life is just a whirling shit show right now and this video hit home for me. So, maybe you're getting drunk while trying to bake something advanced. So, you don't have enough mixing bowls even though your content is a cooking show. So, your egg whites didn't do shit. You still got a yummy ass chocolate something at the end of your efforts. I needed to see that even when nothing seems to be going right with all you're hopes and efforts, perhaps in the end there's still a sweet victory. Thank you. You've improved my day.

Hannah, congratulations on attending a recipe that I myself in my 33 years of life have never tried. And I love cooking. And I adore baking. I'm so proud of you. On another note... I turn 33 this year. My mom just died. I just quit my job with five and a half years. My boyfriend and I are going to move out of our hometown to another city by the Fall. We are going to get pregnant. We are going to get married. The thing I've discovered about being in your 30s is that you are allowed to stop being afraid of what happens if you don't make it all work out okay. You realize that you are strong enough to get through this s***. And you begin to understand what it means to have people you love and support you around you. I think my 30s may be the best time of my life yet. I miss my mom. But I know should be so glad that I'm taking risks. And on that note... Next week I shall make a souffle. Love you lady.
