Welcome to Hartwick Performance!
I want to say thank you to everyone following this build! I had no idea there would be so much interest. It has really kicked off the channel and I owe it to you guys for sticking around and being patient throughout this project. It was a huge risk for us to take, but was worth it!
This is the final part for the build, but not the end for the Godzilla. Can you guess what's coming?! Make sure you comment below what you think!!! AND stay tuned for more! We have lots of plans for this mustang.

Info on the harness and tune:
On the harness I had to swap the coil plug connectors, moved the exhaust bank 1 cam position sensor to the Godzilla's front cam position sensor, and extended the knock sensors. By doing this I was able to use the factory 2011 Mustang ECU and harness.
Huge thank you to Rob Shoemaker and Mike Veisz at Palm Beach Dyno! Getting this thing started was all thanks to them. They connected with me after seeing the other videos and helped me get this thing going. I got a tune from them and they told me what I needed to do with the harness. Couldn't have done it without you guys!
Another big thanks to my friend Deric Schmelzer at Assassin'z Custom Cars! He helped make the oil cooler, the manifold flanges for the headers to weld onto, and other parts as well. Couldn't have done it without you man!

@@hartwickperformance I still think GM LS7 is far superior to this Godzilla engine and the GM LT1 is smaller, more easy to swap, lighter and better OHV than Fords OHVs. What Ford should ve done is make a 6.2l DOHC 32v V8 with Di and PFi. 550-560 hp, 460-470ft pounds torque. That wus ve been amazing.. this 7.3 is neither efficient nor as powerful.. Its just a giant v8
@BC08
@BC08 3 жыл бұрын
@@1989rs500 The LS7 isn’t better. Smaller cam core (50 mm VS 60mm for Godzilla), smaller diameter lifters (lifters have always been an LS weakness), LS7 doesn’t have canted valves while Godzilla does. Oh yeah, and the LS7 can’t keep valves either.
@BC08
@BC08 3 жыл бұрын
@@1989rs500 And while I agree I would much rather Ford evolved the 6.2 Boss (which the Godzilla is loosely based on, they share bore spacing and journal diameters) into a PFI/GDI DOHC 4V aluminum block variant of 6.8-7.3 liters that would have easily dominated the naturally aspirated world it wouldn’t make much sense to build a ~700 HP high revving N/A V8 for the Super Duty which is what the Godzilla is for. Maybe the rumored 6.8 for is a variation on the Boss instead of Godzilla, it’s feasible since they share bore spacing they can likely go down the same line for machining.
@1989rs500
@1989rs500 3 жыл бұрын
@@BC08 But reliability made 505 hp and 500 ft pounds torque and was powerful enough to even win 24 hr Le Mans. Also even today this LS7 lives strong in Corvettes beating and hanging on with Manual 5.0s

I have the 445 7 3 in my 2021 f250 super duty work truck and it's been awesome over the year and a half I've owned it. I have a tremec tr-4050 bruce jenner in the 89 boat hauler truck and everything works too good!! Been running the truck as a weekend cruiser and toy hauler for about 7 months now and everything is working too good. It's pushing just under 700whp think it was 683 whp on the dyno and 632ft lbs. The truck is an absolute unit!

Not that you don't already have enough to do, but you're gonna want to solve that 120 psi oil pressure pretty quick or you're going to blow out either the pump drive or the oil filter, or a combination of things.

I tripped on to this channel, and had a Deja Vu. I was in my twenties, in the navy, and my best friend had a lift just like yours in his boatyard next door. I used it to shoehorn a built 327 sbc, with an M22(couldn't afford a M21)Muncie 4sp. into a B1600Mazda pick-up. My stuff wasn't as new as yours, and didn't sound quite as nice, but really good to see people out using what they can to build something original! Super impressed, dude. Even though I worked on chevy's and had a good supply, I've always loved the 302 ford. Would've fit in the Mazda easier, being narrower, however, II used what I had, kind of what you're doing. Looking forward to finish and the Godzilla vs Kong video.

Col swap. But other than for sheer displacement. And uniqueness. What’s the point? The 7.3 gas has 430hp ad 475trq. The coyote has more power than that. And the money spent could make the coyote a beast.

Young man you have the gift that many can only dream about, and your work ethic is unheard of in most people today below the age of 40. Not saying everyone is on the get someone else to do it band wagon, but enough that it shows in a whole lotta folks. My only concern, and I'm not a safety Ninny, by any means of the word, but get yourself a proper engine setup, and don't use the knotted ratchet strap method. As we'd all sure hate to see your hands or arms smashed, are worse yet it catch you under the car trying to wrestle the transmission into place. Only reason I'm using my typing fingers, is a long time ago I lost friend smashed under his car by turbo 400 rolling off his floor jack. Yes he'd done it that way many times, but it only takes once, and as hard as your girl would try, may not be enough. It's not the same, but it is if you don't use the tools for the job, and especially when you already know that's the truth of it. Plus you've got thousands of us interested, and I been here quietly watching for a good while, and I'd like nothing more than to keep doing so far into the future.

@@hartwickperformance even a section of chain bolted to the heads, are intake bolts is safer than the method your placing your life on. I just would really not like to something happen to anyone over a twenty dollar piece of equipment you can pickup at harbor freight, northern tool, are untold number of websites. Heck give me location to send it from one of those places, and I will make certain that you get as soon as I can order something for you. Your worth the money, and then some. Call it a donation to the new shop if you want, and it'll be my pleasure to be able to help out with that. Up to you, it'll be an honor to help young man out that has served our country. Thanks for your concern for his safety. Luckily so far none of his ER visits have been too serious. We would like to keep it that way.
