I've always wondered - 2:46 they have no real conscious awareness that winter is on the way but the changes in the coat and behaviors to prepare for the different season progresses like clockwork. It's amazing to me. I can't wait to see Kane in his lovely winter coat again. No more lanky, itchy wolf. Now it's big poofy, lanky, itchy wolf.

I'm so happy the diatomaceous earth and oil are working, poor Kane and Harv were having such a rough time of it with those mites and the allergic reaction to other medication.

The moment cheese was mentioned, Harvey booked it for the fridge. Good to see our two favorite potatoes getting some love and attention (even if Kane's still pretending he hates it). Here's praying the mites _stay_ gone, this time!

I'm glad that coconut oil/lemongrass is working well. I was lucky to have a vet that when my yorky started having liver issues, she told me we could get on the medicines, but they were expensive or just pickup some milk thisle vitamin supplement. We chose the latter and her 3 month test showed a slight improvement, 6 month showed a big improvement at 1 year she was normal. With our GSD and the vet we had at the time it was all medicine and shots for her allergies and they quit working,we spent over $1000 in allergy testing and never got the answer, I used flea and tick killer 3x a year to make sure that wasn't an issue but to no avail. We had to put her to sleep because she was scratching herself to open wounds and it was painful and the occasional infection, once it started year around we knew that was not the life for her when she would be scratching/whining in pain and bleeding over 12 hours a days.

Such an “aggressive” & “dangerous” wild animal the only thing he is, is aggressively potato & dangerously adorable. Ever since Kane learned what the camera is he says it always needs to be pointed at him and yet both these weirdo’s will go outside when it’s 80 degrees and the deck is a fryer and lay on the deck and cook & Kane becomes wolf dog bacon
@charlottewolery5583 ай бұрын
The thought occurs to me that maybe Harvey keeps going to the fridge demanding cheese, not because he wants the cheese, but because he wants something else and asking for cheese is a 'big ask' which makes you giving him something less, like going outside more likely. Notice how he beat Kane down the stairs. despite hanging around the fridge until you oped the gate. And given all the other videos I've seen of him, yes, he is that smart and manipulative. I have seen it.

I’m sure he knows it. But it wouldn’t be too far behind. We know dogs especially Huskies love their foods especially cheese.

Essential oils are a major part of a plant's defenses, so it makes sense that they would work, but does it have to be lemongrass specifically? It probably doesn't matter, but an interesting fact about lemongrass is that it's chemically similar to the Nasonov pheromone that bees use to guide foragers to the colony, and also "vote" for a location to make a new colony. Some beekeepers supposedly use lemongrass oil to attract wild swarms to empty hives, so you might want to dispose of the unused portion in a sealed container in case that trick actually works.
@Harv-Kane3 ай бұрын
A lot of other bugs have an aversion to lemon grass (it’s considered a ‘hot’ oil, which means that if you get it on any tender area of your body, you will be in a world of pain), and cedar wood melts the exoskeletons of young bugs. The bees here do seem to like it though.
