The democrat party and its adherents need to be crushed. If that sounds too strong, you'd better face it as the current truth. I've seen much. If we do not silence this dissident element, we, as well as much of the western world will enter an era of darkness much like the Black Plague..

Courageous, perhaps, but pretty stupid and wholly oblivious to reality. We don't have to beat ourselves up for the deeds and omissions of others, but we certainly shouldn't ignore what others have been put through and been left to deal with in our society. Our not being directly responsible for the sins of the past does not absolve us from understanding our privilege and knowing what went on and its ongoing negative effects on our fellow citizens and fellow members of humanity. A little less flag waving and a lot more awareness, empathy and fixing is what's in order, not tmore of this baseless, pollyanna swill. Courageous, maybe at some level, but no cop is ever going to pull her or any members of her family or cirlce of friends over for a broken tail light and wind up blowing her away, nor is any cop ever going to be breaking her or any member of her family or circle of friends' door down in the middle of the night and murdering her in her bed.

Courageous? Speaking truth? Those are laughable assertions, pal. The speech is nothing but noxious right-wing talking points from a privileged and largely oblivious young woman who is smug in her self-righteousness. She doesn't have a clue how narrow, distorted and historically ignorant her views are. She seems to be an ideal candidate for political advancement in the thoroughly corrupt, cynical, mendacious and anti-democratic Republican swamp gang.

As a once proud graduate of Harvard, the school has given me very little to be proud of lately as it constantly and consistently embraces any and all things woke and politically correct. My father was Harvard College '48 and Harvard Law School '52, and my mother was Radcliffe College '52. (I am related to the earlier Harvard president Charles Eliot and to Timothy and Arthur Fuller.) The whole time I was a boy, I always sort of assumed I was heading for Harvard, and I had an image of Harvard as people like my parents. I didn't wind up going to Harvard (Valparaiso BA 1979, JD 1982). I was simply horrified to realize that if Harvard had ever been what I thought it was when I was a boy, it was certainly not that by the 1980's. It is good to see that Julie could even get to speak. No applause? At least they weren't throwing things at her, getting her expelled, and smashing up her car.

Oh yes, let's raise the phony specter of communism for those who use that word as a juvenile insult. Get a clue. Ms. Hartman is justified in criticizing BLM leadership who have apparently misused their donated funds. But let's look at the people who matter so much more. She's silent about Trump's endless grifting while president, his sickening self-interest and constant attempts to cash in on the powerful position he held. (Recall that he worked hard to extort the Ukrainian president for a sham investigation into the Bidens, another gross abuse of power by a sick demagogue.) His life has been one fraudulent or downright illegal scheme after another, often using cash provided by his father while pretending he's a brilliant business man (a con of the "Apprentice" producers) who managed to go bankrupt several times and cheated numerous contractors along the way, his tax and financial frauds only now coming into the realm of legal consequence. Add the Trump University scam and the Trump Foundation scam, and so many more. And what about his reprobate and traitor sidekick Steve Bannon, who was charged with stealing money from the southern border wall project and only got off thanks to another corrupt pardon from the then-president. You know, the unsavory snot of "deconstruct the administrative state" whose odious racism and self-serving scams are legion. Are you going to remain silent about those offenses that matter so much more, or just focus on the inflated threat of evil enemies on the left, conveniently deflecting to their misconduct when you can dredge it up?

Our country is in peril because of the failed intellect and warped morality of people like Ms.Hartman, who is well on her way to a prominent position in the wreckage of the R party, a party that has been abandoned by many of its former high-profile members who see how rotten the Trump cult has become and want to save the country from that toxic influence.

I am Canadian and happy to be so. I have always admired our american friends and also appreciated your leadership in the world. But lately that admiration has waned for many of the reasons included in your speech Julie. You hit the nail on the head. Unfortunately there are too few young people (or any people) today who will stand up against the woke mob that wishes to undermine so much of what has made the USA a great country. If you run for office I will send you a donation !

Julie I am very encouraged by your courage, judgement and understanding. Our country needs men and women like you in positions of leadership. Unfortunately we have reached a place where I just can’t imagine someone like yourself having to work daily with the likes of the people that dominate our government today. If you should ever want to pursue that course I promise you my full support.

Well done, Ms. Hartman, hear hear! The fact that you were greeted with no applause from your classmates is a sure sign you were spot on. The cowardice of your audience will be their undoing. But I don't believe it will be all our undoing; the country will be saved by people like you, with principles and courage. Well done, indeed!

Just remember, when a person remains silent during an onslaught of wokeism it means they don’t want the loud obnoxious ones to ruin their livelihood. They agree with this excellent message and need a leader to follow. That is coming. The silent majority will prevail. Julie Hartman, thank you!

What a blessing, to have that experience and I am so glad that you shared this video. Thank you. I always think of how much I love my Grandmother, and Grandaunts felt for coming to America and the gifts that came with being here. My Grandmother kept her Panamanian flag, American flag, and British flag in her home and I remember how proud she was always to be here. We have taken for granted the gifts that we have here and I will not allow myself to forget her love. Thank you for sharing this video, and I thank her (or you) for her words.
