Dr. Ngozi Ookojo-Iweala has the education, background and required practical experience - local and global, confidence and capacity to lead WTO. You're truly the most qualified candidate for the job not just from the african continent but a black woman of tenacity that will benefit the world.

If leading a nation is basically a matter of statistical and intellectual input, there wouldn't have been a better candidate than Ngozi. However, the most dangerous part of leadership is political. What is attached to the political aspect of leadership is the most inimical to development in Africa where primordial inclination is more pronounced than intellectual liberalism needed to bring out the most and the best in our people.

To answer the question, on the thumbnail, directly, I think Africa, and especially South Africa, and Zimbabwe, has surprised everyone, since end of apartite, and ANC have taken controle. Who in the western world now invests in South Africa?

A problem must be defined. And to define is to posited in way that the opposite of what has been posed is excluded. Thus one thing is poverty and one thing is impoverishment. In this perspective the problem in Africa has nothing to do with poverty but it is all about impoverishment. God in his mercy has provided. But the providence has been transformed in to a curse and as result despite the wealth, millions and millions must be the poorest and African must be the symbol of a permanent poverty. Therefore greed, exploitation, etc are the evil that must be treat.

She should get back to Nigeria and apply to become Nigeria's and Africa's 'Saviour',No doubt she can turn Nigeria's fortunes around... Nigeria is Africa's Super Power,it's turnaround can help the rest of the Continent to uproot all the evils afflicting the Continent's growing population...

Good to hear a positive and optimistic talk about the future of Africa backed up by a coherent, evidenced argument. Do you think the international trading system is unfair to Africa in general, I am thinking of the subsidies paid to protect agriculture in developed countries? Will the regional trade deals being set up in many parts of the world lock Africa out of future growth in international trade? Can the WTO restore multilateralism?

Start by refusing to beg. Start by loving who you are as you are. Start by understanding you are ENOUGH as you are. No matter what anyone else says. Then maybe consider having a voice that comes from a dagger mouth to speak for you. In a way all ordinary and otherwise people understand and stop to pay attention to. Messaging is everything! Then get to work and demand to be treated as an equal and partner. I will watch this later Mama.

A very brave and patriotic Black African. However, she failed to mention some cultural practices in Black Africa that are inimical to progress. Eg indiscriminate making of babies. If the fertility rate is above 4%, in an educationally wrapped environment then the continent progress will be jeopardy. Also on building strong institutions which she stressed and advocated, this can only be done by men and women of honor like herself and she stands at a vantage position to seek, raise and strategically plant such Black Africans across the sub continent. Congratulation Mama on your ascendancy to the position of DG at WTO.

'The Changing Face of Poverty: Can Africa Surprise the World?' If the world in which we are is serious, ethical, moral and has the fear of God, human beings wouldn't be saying 'The Changing Face of Poverty: Can Africa Surprise the World?' Because God who has created, has provided Africa not with poverty, but wealth. God in His mercy poured on Africa countless minerals which could have shaped another face, far from poverty. Why can't human beings acknowledge what God has done? If the resources God has given were use for the glory of God which is wellbeing of humans He has created, Africa wouldn't be the permanent poorest. If God's blessings are allocated to bless human beings the world would have been surprised by the goodness of God in their practical lives. If we don't recognize the problems we can't conceive the solutions. Morality, ethics, the fear of God and hope aren't the opposite of profit or self interest. Because if we are sentient beings and such we are submitted to determination God has placed the ethics in our intelligible nature, Thus we are also ethical beings, Why can't we assume our condition of ethical beings doing things with ethics. The hearts are what need to be changed so misery, impoverishment, the exploitation will changed into fulfilment for all God's creatures as they weakest aren't no more prey. Let's raise our eyes to heaven and call upon ourselves the Spirit of God.

Ngozi Okonjo Iweala is no doubt an intelligent and wise woman but her loyalties are edged in favour of the global elite and the international banking cartels not towards Nigeria and Africa. Before she became the DG of the WTO, there were several people who wrote all over social media claiming that when she becomes the head of the WTO, Africa will benefit so much and Africans will be lifted out of poverty. Some of us who asked how on earth is she going to pull that off when she was unable to do this in Nigeria? I informed that that the only benefit is to recognise that Ngozi is from Nigeria and that she is an African. Some of her supporters cursed and said people like us don't know anything about what we're talking about or understand what is going on or what she will do? The question now is what exactly has been the impact and benefits to Nigeria and Africa in general since Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala became the Director General of the World Trade Organisation?

As a minister in Nigeria I expect you should make research on her land mark then and you will see that the greatest development and infrastructure Nigeria had ever had was her initiative and work Nigeria were able to realize we can generate revenue aside petroleum ( telecoms and agric as case study) is it malls trade attraction of investors etc. that was when she was serving a leader who was ready to listen. She can only bring about ideas and measure is now left for the leaders to execute and initiate it . Look at Nigeria noww all this sectors are suffering because of the huge tax on them most can’t survive because no support from the government and they don’t even care . Are we talking about the embezzlement Nigeria turn from being developing country under her to under developing country now . Okay last year he met with the president and minister pleading with them to atleast reduce the tax and support growing industry to atleast help them stand yet nothing happen Are we talking about the tariff at our port that most of traders are even unable to clear there goods which the imported at the port man I don’t even want to continue listing but anyone that knows ngozi well knows what she carry’s with her

Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala actually served during the Presidency of OBJ and again under GEJ. She is part of the system that ensures Nigerians remain impoverished and a member of the elite that ensures that Africa remains poverty stricken despite having most of the world's resources.
