I remember winter in this game was dire - you couldn't grow anything, barely any wild plants grew, so I was skint for the whole season, there was snowstorm after snowstorm, I remember one particularly bad winter when I had 3 snowstorms in a row. I spent the whole season mining because I needed the money and there was nothing else to do, and as your stamina runs lower and lower the music becomes more distorted so I spent most of winter hearing the winter music but in its distorted phase and it still always reminds me of just feeling like "ohmygod am I going to make it through the winter? Will I ever see the spring again?!" Then the 1st day of spring arrives and as soon as I wake up and hear that first 5 seconds of the spring music it was always this feeling like I made it through, like omg I survived! That was 14 years ago now I was first playing it and this is still always what it reminds me of.

Had to come back to this because of my brother, this was our favorite game growing up, we both loved everything about it, from the soundtrack to the characters in the game, he died a little over a year ago but this makes me think of him everytime I hear it, memories of us fighting over who will get to play it when we were little, sitting under a lamp with a gameboy so we could see the screen, times I wish were still here, memories I cannot forget

I like how in Friends of Mineral Town, you had this meaningful experience on a farm in your formative years, out of which developed a grandfather-grandson relationship with the farmer, to the point that he leaves you the farm as his heir. You're not only trying to live up to his memory, but also trying to make your life what you wanted it to be as a child. Meanwhile, More Friends of Mineral Town has you just being like, "My life sucks, I should buy a farm," and then getting screwed over by a realtor.

playing this feels like your inside the game, you do things in a way that your like alive in game, i love the background music for all events, favorite companions to have are the sprites,. and its feels good to tend to animals and let them graze in the field inside a fence cause who knows dog at night my come, love my dog also, he grows but i like it when he's small, i love the horse too sadly you cant mount it around the map, you can only race it during the event, everything is so nostalgic about this game, this game really lives to its title and i like it how its an infinite game, i like to earn all items with hardwork, i even plan everything i do in game, i also plan ahead for events that trigger at certain situation,. plus you can have a wife and have kids infinite times lol,. just restart and play again choose other candidates, ugh . im go to play this again at my 26 :)) i'm so happy to have met this game both when i was young and how old i am today. thanks NATSUMI

That game is amazing. I love all the background music for all the events, it's a game that entertains you, you can take care of the farm, the animals. Wow, this game is so good, you might even have a wife and kids. It's just spectacular. I played this game all the time on my best friend's gameboy advance SP when I was 10... it was a pirated copy and the save function didn't work, so I'd keep the device on for like 3 days straight just to get far enough to romance one of the village girls and start a family LOL. I have played multiple Harvest Moon, but I am always impressed with the characters of Friends of Mineral Town. They have distinctive and interesting personalities, and some of their reactions are really hilarious. Moreover, the thing I love most is mining. You can mine as much as you like and each floor is randomized. It's like a treasure hunt for tools and jewels. Sadly, later versions minimalize mining so much, only a few rocks or mining spots.

Just came here thinking if i'll play this again i played this so many times first is when i was a kid my dad bought us gba with games he bought pokemon fire red, emerald and harvest moon. At first i don't know how to play it whatever i pick i put it on the shipping box or i give it to popuri XD i gave her blue grass and she's mad HAHAHA, that year was 2010 i was pre school, my chickens died and dunno why and always give random stuffs to popuri and other girls, sadly the gba explodes after using it while charging XD. After 3 years i discovered gba emulator! Damn i was happy playing gba games again i finished pokemon,fire red, leaf green, ruby, sapphire and emerald. Then it cross to my mind, what if i play harvest moon again, i quickly installed it again but the net sucks so i go to computer cafe and copy it instead with coolrom, after that i study how to play the game and remembered how stupid i was HAHAHAHA. After that i give good things to popuri, ywah damn right still popuri, after giving so many good things popuri's heart turn into purple OH GOD I'M SO HAPPY THAT I TOLD MY BROTHER ABOUT IT MANY TIMES and i was shocked popuri came into my house and explore my farm ughh mah hartt. After weeks of playing it i bought a chicken! my first chicken i named it chicky. Then put its egg on incubator and i'm so happy after it hatched. It was so fun after the fire nation attacked (just kidding) after a the the phone thqt i was using break it was a great fall and it wont turn on again :
