The reason that Jamie is only female in the Wii version is because the option to play as a female character was cut out. In the original Gamecube version, players could be either boy or girl, and Jamie's gender was always opposite of that, therefore making it a marriage choice. Fun fact: In the original Japanese version of the game, Jamie is always referred to with masculine pronouns, no matter what gender the player is! :)

Apparently, you get more scenes depending on what scenes you've seen throughout the game. In the original version (japanese), all of the potentials would get married to each other eventually. Natsume either decided this would be too frustrating for younger players or they were just too lazy to do the translations for the rival marriage scenes. Someone has a video of the Jamie ending with supposedly ALL the scenes you can get during it in the US version. Still has Kurt and Dia of course :)

As someone who has been playing this for years, I'm well aware of it. It's even in the instruction booklet... I'm using the phrase "state the obvious" in this specific context: where Jamie's character is established as male well before the wedding.

Just give him the blue feather, as long as you've met the other requirements (check the video description for all of them), and to get the blue feather, you have to get a DIFFERENT guy/girl up to 8 hearts, because you won't get the feather event with Jamie's hearts I don't think.

Wait, so, if you start the game up again, what happens? Does it restart to the very beginning? Does it go to the point before you propose to Jamie? I NEEDS ANSWERS. Also, yes to all the people asking, you can get married before getting all the notes. Some notes are only receivable if you're married. (Ex. Stork Note.)

The game remembers nothing after your most recent save, and marrying Jamie doesn't affect your save data in any way, so you are just able to load from your last save (whatever that was... so if for some reason you played for days after saving before triggering this ending, you will lose all that progress)

This one never felt like Harvest Moon because of its overly cutesy nature. It finally went back to tradition of the cartoony animals and setting, something that AWF was known for ditching. But, made it overly simplified. And in the end, made it an okay game at best. But, nothing I would come back to if I ever play it once. Harvest Moon 64 is still my all-time favorite due to its continuity of the prior game and the many things you could do.

You can have up to four save slots on one memory card. But also note that regardless of how many you do save, you must make the room for all 4 on the memory card, and it takes up as many blocks as Animal Crossing (a full small memory card).

Yes, you can sell crops. You put them in the shipping bin to sell them. It's different than the one in AWL if that's what you're thinking though. You just toss them in and at the beginning of each day you're rewarded with money. You can put all kinds of things in there (flowers, food, etc).

You have to ship 50 cabbages and then strawberry seeds will be available at the shop in the spring. The ending only occurs for marrying Jamie. The game ends and you have to load from your last save. If you marry anyone else, you continue like normal and they move into your house.

HMDS is full of glitches and problems -- as in game-breaking glitches, like randomly getting unlimited money, randomly having your data corrupt and erase, randomly having the game freeze in the middle, etc. However, HMDSCute has all of that fixed and is a really great game. Magical Melody is also really great. I love both a lot. You could always just get both.

I don't know the number of blocks, I forget... but I'm sure you can find out somewhere online. It's the amount of blocks that the smallest size memory cards have.

Just check the main commentary on the video (on the right), I have it all listed there. Chances are you haven't shipped 1 of every crop yet or you haven't had an animal born in your barn yet (or filled up the barn/coop), since those are the last few requirements people meet.

It's a challenge and you get this really great special ending for it. On the opposite side, I still don't understand why anyone WOULDN'T want to try just because the game ends... it's not like you can't reload your save... completing the challenge and seeing the ending are worth it IMO... and you don't lose progress b/c you just load from your last save O_o if you save right before proposing you don't lose anything at all!

I just like marrying Jamie because it is the biggest "challenge" you can complete (and be rewarded for) in the game. Though Jamie also has more "story" than any of the other characters, so I kinda like him.

I think the idea was that they wanted to release the girl version separately to make more money. You can play as a girl in many other HM games: Harvest Moon 3 for GBA, Harvest Moon Boy & Girl for PSP, Another Wonderful Life for Gamecube, Harvest Moon DS Cute, Magical Melody, Island of Happiness, Rune Factory 2, that sequel to Island of Happiness, the new Wii HM coming out, and the girl version of Back to Nature in Japan. :)

You get a special scene at 100 notes. You can never leave the villiage except during the Jamie scene, and once you "leave" in that scene you cannot come back.

Oh. In the UK, Magical Melody is only on the Wii, and the girl version and some stuff has been cut out for no reason. And HMDSCute is never coming to EU I think. You can buy the American DS games and they will play on your DS since it doesn't have region encoding or anything. US gamecube games won't work unless you have a US gamecube/wii or a freeloader thingy. But if you don't want to buy US games, you're stuck with the cut-up Wii game.

You have to save all 4 even if you don't use them. And I think 98 will be enough, but as I already said I really have no idea X_x; I had a ton of stuff saved on my memory card and it still fit, so you SHOULD be fine unless you have like 20+ game saves on your memory card.

Yes there is; it was released in Europe and Australia as a Wii version because it came out there much later than the Gamecube version after the launch of Wii. It was Meryl. She moves into the town when Ronald expands the vineyard. Yeah, they never come back. After that, the game ends and you go back to the title screen. But when you load you still haven't married Jamie (even if you showed the feather, you don't marry until you go to the Goddess, so you can just marry someone else and go back to normal). So after marrying Jamie there is no more playing, but you can always load your last save.

I think it's worth it because it's an accomplishment. Jamie is the hardest in the game to marry. You can always just watch the special ending (there are other versions other than the one I recorded) and then reload your game and marry someone else.

Yes, you can have a kid. It doesn't do anything though. You don't even know if it's a boy or girl. It's just a blue wad with a head that cries a lot... eventually it learns to crawl then walk, then freezes its growth from then on out.

Easier said than done. The game glitches at that point and skips the text automatically. There was nothing I could've done. I think it could be that the game goes to the next portion of the scene after a limited amount of time regardless of if you have read all the text or not. So maybe if I had read it faster... but I was just reading at a normal pace, and I didn't even think of that til long after I recorded this video and saved over that save.

Try befriending Alex and Martha to 1 heart. If you haven't met Martha yet, Gina and Dia won't come and the Sanitarium won't be built. Also, make sure you go visit them after you've shipped the required amount so Alex can introduce you.

This is from the Gamecube version :) The Gamecube and Wii version actually have the same graphics. If you don't have a GBA, you could get one and get FoMT and the GBC games :) IDK how expensive it would be, but it's much easier than getting a Wii XD Or if you don't mind spending more money, a DS with HMDSCute :D

@ayuya17 It takes about 3 seasons to get pregnant. But it takes only 20 days to have the baby. Whenever you play, Jamie is always the opposite gender. For example:If you are a girl then Jamie is a boy. If you are a boy, Jamie is a girl. make sense? As it says in the direction guide ' Don't say no way, opposites attract, Jamie is always marriage material!' Hope I helped :D
